Title: The Quintessential Kitchen Companion:
Review: The Victoria 8 Inch Cast Iron Tortilla Press is, without a doubt, a kitchen essential for anyone who cherishes authentic homemade tortillas, rotis, and a variety of other flatbreads. Crafted with care and tradition in Colombia, this tortilla press has quickly become a beloved staple in my kitchen, offering a blend of durability, functionality, and timeless design that elevates the culinary experience.First and foremost, the build quality of the Victoria Tortilla Press is exceptional. Made from high-quality cast iron, it feels solid and sturdy, promising years of reliable service. The weight of the cast iron ensures even pressure distribution, resulting in uniformly thin and perfectly shaped tortillas every time. This level of consistency is something that simply cannot be achieved with rolling pins or store-bought options. The 8-inch size of the press is ideal for a variety of uses, from crafting traditional corn and flour tortillas to experimenting with rotis, empanadas, and mini pie shells. This versatility makes it an invaluable tool for anyone looking to explore the vast world of flatbreads and pastries with authenticity and ease. One of the aspects I appreciate most about the Victoria Cast Iron Tortilla Press is its ease of use. The lever mechanism is designed with ergonomics in mind, requiring minimal effort to achieve the perfect press. This user-friendly design ensures that making tortillas is not just a cooking task, but a delightful experience that can be shared with family and friends, regardless of their culinary skill level.Maintenance is surprisingly straightforward for such a robust kitchen tool. The pre-seasoned cast iron surface offers a natural, non-stick quality that improves with use, making cleanup a breeze. A quick wipe with a damp cloth or a rinse under warm water is all it takes to keep the press looking and performing at its best. Or just use ziplocks on both sides of the press, easy breezy clean up.

Title: I believe it's a product well worth the money.
Review: I purchased this press so I could press chicken breasts for homemade chicken jerky. It worked perfectly. My daughter in law has used to make tortillas (imagine that, making tortillas on a tortilla press!) Again, it worked perfectly. Nice and evenly pressed. It is a sturdy construction and so far, I can see no sign of it breaking. I believe it's a product well worth the money.

Title: This Press Makes Great Tortillas, But Things Got a Little Crumby
Review: As someone who loves homemade tortillas, I was eager to try out the Victoria cast iron tortilla press. With its simple design and sturdy cast iron construction, it seemed like just what I needed to take my tortilla game to the next level. The Good:Creates evenly thick and perfectly round tortillasEasy to use with a simple, designMade of heavy duty cast ironCompact size for easy storageThe Not-So-GoodNeed to use wax paper or plastic to keep the dough from stickingThe handle snapped off unexpectedlyFortunately, when I contacted Victoria, they apologized and are sending me a replacement handle free of charge. Despite the malfunction, the base itself is still in excellent condition and the handle will be easy to replace once we receive it.Overall, I can't complain too much about a product that makes such deliciously authentic homemade tortillas. Once I get the new handle installed, I'm confident this little press will be a kitchen staple for years to come. In the meantime, I'll just have to get creative about how to push it down without snapping anything else off!

Title: Amazing
Review: I love it. Absolutely itâs made my making tortillas a lot easier. Iâve always wanted to make my own tortillas and didnât have any problems with making the dough but using the rolling pin itâs been a challenge for me. I could never make a perfect circle. Always one side would be too thin which it would come a part and one side too thick. Last night I made about 20 tortillas in no time and they all looked perfect circles. Sooo easy. All I had to do to divide my big ball of dough into bunch of even small balls and put each little ball between 2 pieces of parchment papers inside the tortilla presser and press and here it comes my perfect circled tortilla. The important point to remember is please ignore those reviews that theyâre telling you this presser makes thick tortillas. I didnât have this problem and mine were paper thin tortilla. I thing some people use too big of dough balls. If you use less do your tortillas will turn out very thin. Very durable and absolutely worth the money

Title: Fresh, homemade tortillas make a world of difference; this press makes it easy!
Review: I decided years ago that homemade corn tortillas were 1000x better than store-bought...much tastier and easier to manipulate for tacos, enchiladas, etc. I was using a glass pie plate to press the tortilla rounds, but that was slow and annoying. Getting this Victoria press has made all the difference. Using a 1-quart plastic storage bag cut to fit, I can press and grill 18 tortillas or so in less than 45 minutes, with nearly all of that time simply cooking the tortillas...the pressing process is simple and effortless once you get the hang of positioning the masa ball and removing the tortilla from the plastic sheet. I use this press at least 3 times a month for empanadas, tacos, enchiladas, or even plain tortillas to use instead of bread or pitas. The press itself is well-crafted, sturdy and substantial resulting in consistent, predictable tortilla rounds. Using the plastic sheets makes it easy to keep clean. We love the homemade tortillas, and I love how easy they are to make with this Victoria tortilla press.

Review: Iâd give this press 6 stars if I could. Casting is rugged and flawless. Very well seasoned. Made 16 5â tortillas in no time. The key is to use two cast iron fry pans. One on medium, the finishing one a little hotter than medium. Preheat. Use no oil. I also use two separate uncut zip lock bags. Make your dough using directions on Masa Harina bag. Roll a ball of masa harina about the size of a golf ball. Flatten slightly with your palm. Place on press covered with zip lock bag. Then place other zip lock bag on top of ball. Close lid and press lightly with lever. No need to press hard. End result is a 1/8â thick approx 5â diameter tortilla. Lift top zip lock plastic carefully then slide lower zip lock onto your palm. Tortilla peels off easily. Then into first pan. 15 seconds.Flip after 15 seconds onto second side for another 15 seconds. Then transfer onto the second hotter pan for 30-45 seconds. It will puff up. Then remove. Meantime prep another ball of dough onto press and have it ready for the transfers.Beautifully easy. You will be able to keep the assembly line rhythm once you get the hang of it. So easy and seamless. I found using a complete zip lock bag for each side makes it easier to make and peel off the tortilla. I suspect the double layer of plastic allows for movement without pinching the tortilla. Very pleased with this purchase. Itâs a lifetime purchase and next I will try white and whole wheat tortillas. Washed complete press in very hot water and dried it off. Noted the beading of water on every part of this very well seasoned press. All edges nicely rounded and finished. Beautiful casting. I love cast iron cookware and have very fine and some very expensive pieces. This one is definitely a keeper. This press I will experiment with drying flowers and stems. One or two layers. Cover each side with heavy plastic so no moisture rusts the press. Lock lever with an appropriate weight.
