Title: Fresh perspective, lots of details without being overwhelming!
Review: Hands down, a great fresh perspective regarding a visit to Venice. Great details while still being easy to read through or to find information. I was looking for Cicchetti Tours on Viator, but am thrilled that she recommended local guides so I booked with one of them. BTW...Chapter 10 lists great Cicchetti places by address:) Just one of the many helpful lists!

Title: Fantastic Book! Highly Recommend
Review: I am taking my first trip to Italy and, luckily, I stumbled upon this book by pure chance. Corinna Cooke's Glam Italia's is one of the best travel guides I have ever read. She does a great job of providing just the right amount of detail and information without overwhelming the reader. She also picks interesting and off the beaten path places to visit. I have learned so much about Venice from Corinna's book and she has made our trip so much better. Highly recommend this read !

Title: Incredibly Insightful!
Review: I purchased this guide hoping to glean a couple of new nuggets of info for my upcoming 4-night stay in Venice and it blew me away! Lists of coffee shops and pasticcerias I had cobbled together from long online research were all gathered here perfectly all along! It made me wish I had gotten this guide earlier in the process, but I was also grateful that the places I had chosen on my own to visit were backed up by recommendations from author. As others have mentioned, this isn’t really a photographs-and-maps guidebook— it’s full of helpful lists & stories by topic.I think that this is a great guide for any traveler— there is a very conversational tone, and despite the cover art it’s not super “girly” and would be just as good a guide for men. I have read this cover to cover with a highlighter & post-its and it has helped a great deal with my itinerary. I especially appreciated the guide on how (and where) to choose a gondolier, should you want to indulge in that touristy bit of fun and support a historic Venetian industry.Lastly, I appreciate the focus on sustainable tourism in Venice. I think that there’s a way to be a traveler and to be polite and support the local economy while being respectful of the people who live where you’re traveling and this book has a heavy focus on teaching people to do just that.
