Title: Great alternative to the RFID wallet, sleeve, or pocket!
Review: BL: Great protection against RFID skimmers, but stay vigilant, RFID Blockers alone will not protect you from the ID theft. Hereâs the short version of my review below 𤣠: my tests showed it will block NFC, I wasnât able to test its true/full RFID Blocking capabilities; research says you donât need to. Read on at your own risk!Being upfront... I didn't really understand what this was, but I ordered it because but it sounded cool, and I had heard about sniffling/skimming ID Theft threats. So I did some light reading while I waited for my order to arrive... and then ran some experiments.Experiment 1:I went to a contactless payment enabled terminal at the gas station - and tried it a couple of ways... put the RFID Blocker between the reader and my credit card (worked - no data transferred); I put the credit card directly on the reader but had the blocker on top my credit card (worked - no data transferred); I put away the blocker and tapped my credit card and voila! I purchased my gas (no harm/change to my card). Blocker vs Contactless Payment â> Blocker wins!Experiment 2:I used it with my building key FOB, and it does not work! (What!?!?) I found through the reading that some key FOBs (especially older ones) use magnetic fields instead of Radio Frequency (the RF in RFID)... so these blockers won't work... but aluminum foil does!! Foil is NOT recommended for cards. What I found from my experiments are that the blocker worked well for "Near Field Communication" (NFC) which is a type of Radio Frequency ID (RFID) function. I didn't have access to a real RFID reader that could scan information from a larger distance... so my experiments didnât truly test the full RFID blocking function (sorry - inconclusive).Research:From tech reviews and experts, credit cards nowadays have RFID (yes but!), they are encrypted and passive. Encrypted: without more information or the right encryption, even if the skimmer is able to retrieve information from the card, it can't be used because it looks like garbly gook. Passive: The cards do not broadcast your information from your wallet or purse or pocket⦠until you move it close enough to be read by a scanner. Based on my tests⦠I would imagine, if the blocker can block the NFC, it can block the RFID... but IDK for sure.Would I recommend? I would say it depends on you: what you want and you and where you are.Looking at the articles and reviews, I am not (knock on wood) vulnerable based on where I live, my lifestyle (I don't go to many events with large crowds), and that I credit cards that are insured/protected by the bank and have more layers of data that need to be used to authenticate a purchase. ... Most reviews on RFID Blockers would lead me to think that I donât need one.I... as a proud maximalist who packs her bags, her house, her car to the brim and knows that she is ready for almost anything to the chagrin of her partner, have one in my wallet... just in case. ð

Title: Old wallet is safe
Review: My son did not want to get a new wallet with RFID protection so I figure with these cards at least his credit cards will be safe. They are simple to use and don't take a lot of space in his wallet. He tested them on a self pay register and it was not able to scan the card, that was good enough for me. Now he has his wallet and can breath easy.

Title: A Quick and Inexpensive Fix for RFID Blocking
Review: I have tried several RFID blocking wallets and have not been very happy with them simply due to their looks and generally bulkiness due to aluminum case inside the wallet. I had reverted back to my non RFID blocking wallet since it was comfortable to carry and then ran into these blocking cards. I have them in my wallet, I used 2 of them, one before the cards and one after the cards. Now I have RFID blocking in a comfortable wallet. I didn't know how to test the blocking function, so I went to my local grocery store that had self check out and I pulled out my credit card and one of the blocking cards and put them up to the card reader for payment and the reader could not read my card, even when I flipped the two and laid the credit card down fisrt. I did use the same card for the touch payment, so the credit card works and the blocking card blocks.

Title: Product could have been improved
Review: These RFID blocking cards are very practical, if they work. However, I don't believe the item comes with any instruction sheet that provides further explanation on the product, or explains how to test them. They also come in a pack of several, which is nice, but I wonder if that's entirely necessary as most people just need probably one and maybe a few backups if the card they're using gets lost. You could probably give the extras away as gifts or small party favors. I feel like if they item had been better presented and included more information that helped the consumer understand how to use it or how to test it, that would have made it a better product. Otherwise, it feels like an underwhelming item.

Title: Works just as expected
Review: I finally remembered ot test this at the gas pump and it did not read my cc. When i removed it, my cc was read. I keep one in my wallet, one in my phone wallet case and the other for my passport holder. Now it say it protects it within 2.4 in range, it did not do that when I held my cc up against the scanner in one hand and this in my other hand. May need to test on other "tap to pay" scanners.

Title: Well-made, seem to do the job well
Review: I use these to protect my work badges when I leave for the day. Provides both visible coverage and digital snooping protection. They're heavier than the previous ones I had from a different company (which I count as a positive). Keep one with all your cards.

Title: Easy protection against data thieves
Review: I've had the blocking sleeves to put my cards in, and although they work, it's a pain to get them out and put them back every time. Here's a better, more elegant solution; and much easier to use than the sleeves. If someone tries to read my cards, they'll get a bunch of garbage... they'll be jammed. When I need my card, just take it out, use it and slip it back into my wallet... no messing with sleeves. So simple, yet so effective! I like it!
