Title: All around nice quality
Review: This is a heavy-feel, quality burger press. By using the knob on the top, it's possible to make thickness adjustments to your burger patties, and then lock the setting into place so you can get consistent thickness time and again. Ultimately, easily achieving uniform thickness in your burgers is the primary benefit of this device. I tried pressing some turkey burgers with it and found that it does a pretty good job so long as you're using the correct amount of ground meat for your desired thickness. Because ground turkey is a bit on the soft and sticky side, I oiled both sides of the press before using it, and I think it may have helped. However, the meat still stuck a bit, but did come out in patty form. I think ground beef patties would probably be easier to press.Overall, this is a pretty handy press which beats what I used to do (use the bottom of a plate to press meatballs down into patty form). I like the feel of it, as well as the easy adjustment of the burger thickness. It's also relatively easy to wash by unscrewing the top knob in order to get behind the round disc that does the pressing. On the negative side, because this knob screws on and off, it's possible to unscrew it by accident when changing the thickness of the press. Also, I kind of wish that the lower half of the press didn't have a ridge around it so that it would easier to use a spatula to take a patty off it once pressed. Otherwise, I still think this is pretty handy.

Title: Burger meat didn't flat out
Review: Not enough force can be applied to flatten the burger meat. Meat was weighed to obtain consistency.

Title: A Very Nice Burger Press
Review: I went looking for a burger press, saw this one, and opted for it.I like that you have the ability to adjust the thickness of the patties by simply loosening the locking collar and then turning the screw knob to the desired position, secure the locking collar, and you are good to go.I highly recommend using pre-cut patty parchment paper on both the top and bottom of the patties. It really makes it a lot cleaner and easier. Here are the ones that I got...https://www.amazon.com/Meykers-Hamburger-Non-Stick-Resistant-Parchment/dp/B07WMY61JW/ref=sr_1_5?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.UUD_qZUQfwXzIbut87iadgsW_TA6jkH_97ZyCHJJEAHToU_AOTzsouWs5m5c1dX8_w4VzPkSH4cIS4MXnAgFrkz2nZdJvEkD1NcddPsU_mr9hSC6yncIjo9i4bDUwQ6P0ENYDdoAYZDHWqA5yfPpSOcPiNBFrFAppuXJ-NsT1WMvIT07jTiTnb0GDuWgcUezEiPO2_Ph_yRDTEDv_dCEns_ktDh-dmXLd9036ZPtryxbk2kYmfWStj_XZYvs6eV2Bru3mo0ih0T1FibJ_Gxr2Pp3AeqEaXk9_2JVaAlegpE.uolIQ9f-ttOAUO_EAZrqq863mnNKIYOFBpqMohD1fjM&dib_tag=se&keywords=burger%2Bpatty%2Bwax%2Bpaper%2Bcircles%2B4%2Binch&mfadid=adm&qid=1728239976&sr=8-5&th=1I lay down a sheet, then some salt and pepper, and then the burger. Flatten it down a bit, some more salt and pepper, the second sheet, and then press.I also, at times, mince some onion, or peppers, or both, then place them on the bottom paper with the burger on top and press them into the patty. This year, when Dungeness Crab Season rolls around, I will be doing thick crab cakes.Cheers 🍷

Title: Essential Tool for Perfectly Shaped Burgers Every Time - A+++
Review: I recently started using the PURPLRBIRD Hamburger Press Patty Maker, and it has quickly become an essential tool in my kitchen. If you’re someone who enjoys grilling up burgers, whether for a casual family meal or a backyard barbecue, this press is a game changer. The 4 1/2” size is perfect for making burgers that fit well on a standard bun, and the adjustable feature that allows you to create patties from 1/4lb to 3/4lb is incredibly convenient. What I really love about this press is how easy it is to use. You just scoop your ground meat into the press, adjust the size if needed, and press down to form a perfectly shaped patty. The result is a uniform, well-shaped burger every time, which not only looks great but also cooks more evenly. The non-stick surface is a big plus too—it makes removing the patties a breeze and ensures that your burgers don’t fall apart. The build quality is excellent. The press feels sturdy and well-made, with a comfortable handle that doesn’t strain your hand, even when you’re pressing out a bunch of patties. It’s also easy to clean. I just rinse it off after use, and it’s good to go. The adjustability feature is handy for making different-sized patties depending on who you’re cooking for, which adds a lot of flexibility.Another benefit I’ve found is that it helps with portion control. Whether you’re trying to make consistent-sized burgers for a party or just want to make sure everyone gets the same amount of meat, this press helps with that. It’s been a real time-saver and has made my burger-making process so much more enjoyable.Overall, the PURPLRBIRD Hamburger Press Patty Maker is a fantastic investment for anyone who loves making homemade burgers. It’s simple, effective, and well-designed. If you want to up your burger game and make cooking burgers easier and more enjoyable, this is definitely the tool for you. Highly recommended!

Title: works, but no where for the extra meat to go.
Review: it makes perfect shaped patties, but 2 issues you need to be aware of.there is sizing on the shaft to tell you how big the burger is going to be for the space it leaves.you can't read this normally. you have to set it first then tighten down the lock to press the burgers.the second and harder to live with part is, there really is no way for extra meat to be pressed out of the press.it goes up between the piston and body. so you have to disassemble the whole thing to get it out.not that you wouldn't do that to clean anyway, but if you lose a bunch out of it before you get the hang of what size ball to make, you have to take it apart between making to recover the extra meat.

THE END
