Title: Works perfect! Exact replacement!
Review: I took a gamble and bought this remote to replace the one that came with my Samsung Smart TV. It looked exactly like the one that came with the TV, but this looks to be a generic company. I’m glad I did, because it works beautifully!On the outside:All the controls match the ones on my original remote…like exactly. The finish is a matte finish, whereas my Samsung one is more shiny. Getting the cover open (to out the batteries in) was a challenge because it was so new and tight, and required some hand strength. But once open, it took two AA batteries (just like the original).I noticed a relief message in the battery tray about holding the back and play/pause button down for 3 seconds to “program”. This was the only instructions given. I did that, and the control powered on the TV instantly. It even started controlling my ChromeStick until I hit back.So far, this thing is an exact replacement for my Samsung remote. I can’t believe I waited so long to get it. I was doing all kinds of shenanigans to get around the old broken up key on my previous remote. Just get this already. It’s a direct replacement and not a generic “all-in-one” with hundreds of buttons that do nothing. And under $10? No brainer…

Review: The remote to our TV would not power up. This caused issues with the home theater system when the input was accidentally changed and the TV remote didn’t work to switch it back. The replacement worked perfectly to make the changes needed.

Title: Works well while it lasts
Review: I finally figured out that tv remotes can just wear out. This one is $10, works seamlessly with my Samsung TV, and works like a charm until it just gives out. In my case, that was only about 6 months before I had to replace the original one, and no, it didn't just need new batteries. The select button basically stopped working, which is a critical feature with a smartTV. I loved that I didn't have to do any setup with it (do you remember programming the old universal remotes back in the day?) but I don't love that it's not especially durable. But for the price and the total ease of use, I can just replace it when I need to.

Title: It doesn't work correctly for Samsung tv
Review: So I guess because of the price the company felt it wasn't necessary to put instructions with the remote. Since there is no instructions that's means no guide on troubleshooting either. One it was very difficult to take the remote apart so I could batteries in. You would think a smart remote would be rechargeable but I disgress. I basically pointed the remote at the TV it worked except for one thing. I do not watch TV and it kept going to the TV app. I was trying to put it on my PC app so I can play in my steam deck. The directions buttons did not work. However the button for Netflix and prime work flawlessly but I do more than watch Netflix and Prime. I even found a way to get it on the app I wanted to play and it kept defaulting back to the TV trying to search for channels and would not go back. I literally had to take the batteries out for it stop trying to connect to analog tv cable. I am returning it.

Title: Dead on arrival
Review: My Samsung remote (which looks almost identical to this - minus the Amazon and Prime buttons) was chewed on by my new puppy. So I had to search out some cheap replacements. I received this one today and really want to like it, but it arrived dead, so I can’t. I switched out batteries three times thinking g it might be that. Nothing. No lights, nada. I tried to hold in the “back” and the “play/pause” buttons to sync, still nothing. Not a single button does anything. Hopefully the seller sees my review and reaches out to me. If so, I will update my review.**Update** the seller responded to my message and they sent another remote out and had me set up the return for the dead one. I received it today. This one did work right away, with no syncing. Upgrading my review to 3 stars instead of 1. No higher because the Netflix and Prime buttons do not work (along with the Roku button, which I wasn’t expecting), the top right button, and because of the slight delay after pressing buttons. I do miss the speak button so may need to look into an alternative eventually. Since I use a Nvidia Shield, the loss of those buttons isn’t huge, since I use those apps from within the Shield and not the TV version of them. But it does still impact the rating I’m giving because they don’t work at all, and my TV is on the list.**Update 2** - have had the replacement remote for a few days. Observations. If you don’t have a clear line of site to the TV, it won’t work. I’ll be on my couch and my laptop will be on the coffee table. If the remote is behind that, it won’t do what I tell it. Little things. But the price is still worth it for now.
