Title: Amazing speaker for TV dialogue
Review: I have owned a Bose soundbar for several years. It had really good quality sound for music and dramatic effects, but not very good quality for dialogue. As my hearing quality has gone down I decided I needed to look at a soundbar that focused on speaking quality. The ZVOX soundbar is truly AMAZING! It was quick and easy to setup and then experiment with the various settings for what worked best. The result is a clarity of dialogue that surpasses all of my expectations. I do not have to turn up the volume and the clarity comes through so that I don't have to strain to understand what is being said. The other feature that I absolutely love is the sound leveling. With this on the commercials are now at the same volume as the TV shows. I also appreciate that the soundbar automatically turns on/off with the TV. This is a really amazing product and shows the company's focus on sound clarity. I strongly recommend the ZVOX soundbar for anyone who needs more clarity in the speaking on TV on streaming movies.

Title: Great for speech clarity
Review: I had one of these before with only 6 accuvoice settings. This has an additional 6 sound boosts. I like the boosts but don’t love them. The sound boosts pick up background noises like shoes clacking. I only want voice clarity. The additional sounds are distracting. I found a combination of accuvoice and sound boosts that work for me though.

Title: This is a Game Changer
Review: We've have had a terrific and expensive Denon surround sound system for many years. I love the richness of the sound. But, as we've grown older, it has become more difficult to understand the dialogue. Our solution has been to turn up the volume. I bought this sound bar hoping that it would improve listening to the dialogue and it does! When we received it I tried a simple experiment. We watched the first half hour of a high action movie, using the Denon system. I switched the optical audio cable to the new sound bar and we listened to the next forty-five minutes with the sound bar. Finally, we watched the last half hour after switching back to the Denon surround sound. Conclusion? We both recognized the much improved vocals on the sound bar and we both voted to keep it and replace the surround sound. Clearly, we don't have the same full, rich sound of the Denon system but also, just as clearly we appreciate now being able to turn down the volume while still understanding the dialogue. We really appreciate the multiple sound adjustments on this unit. We quickly learned that the volume/dialogue differs from TV show to TV show or from TV to streaming. The easy to use adjustments handle it all. We highly recommend this unit for anyone who is having difficulty understanding the dialogue coming from their TV.

Title: It works! Good, clear, voices.
Review: I purchased this to gain a little more voice clarity in the flat TV sound. Previously I had to turn up the TV volume so loud that my spouse would complain. The voices were completely muddled because of the rearward facing speakers before trying the Zvox.It works!With this Zvox, the voices are very clear and I'm able to reduce the volume required considerably.It may sacrifice sound depth somewhat, but the clarity of the voices was paramount - which it achieved very well.I recommend it for people struggling to hear the TV program voices either because of old age or lousy TV speakers.

Title: GAME CHANGER!
Review: This sound bar is truly a game changer, not only for the person struggling to hear everything clearer on tv, but - just as important - saving the hearing of everyone else around you! This sound bar does a wonderful job of clearing out all of the unnecessary "background" noise in a program so that you can actually hear to voices. It also keeps the sound at one level, instead of up and down, with parts of a show/movie being very loud and other sections so quiet that you have to spend your time adjusting the volume. (It also helps to take those nasty commercials and keep the volume level on that too! ) Well worth the money - I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

Title: Stopped working after two days
Review: Stopped working after two days. Then I noticed the Amazon page said the item was returned frequently. Company website not much help with the issue of the speaker not getting any power, not turning on, phone number provided does not connect to any person. Luckily, Amazon stood behind the product and I got to return it for a refund. Will not buy product from this company again. Lesson learned.

Title: Works well
Review: Bought this Bar to support hearing impaired needs. It works OK but I’m not overly impressed. I have no previous sound bar so I have nothing to compare it with but it does help reduce the back ground noise and reduce the Way Over Done Music so I can hear what is being said by actors.Easy setup but I wish it worked would sync with the TV remote

Title: Incredible voice clarity!
Review: If you have issues with understanding dialog on TV, buy one of these sound bars! I tried Bose, Klipsch, Sonos, Samsung and for voice clarity ZVOX is first choice. This is my second ZVOX product, I am going to move the AV157 to a different TV. I also may try adding it to the Klipsch surround sound as a center channel for the big screen in the family room.

Review: For the past year I have been struggling to hear the dialogue on TV shows. I know I have some hearing loss at age 68 but I hear just fine other than with the TV. The ZVOX soundbar solved my problem and I can now enjoy watching TV again. The installation was as easy as they claimed and the remote was very simple to use. You can adjust the sound clarity to suite you specifically because of the many levels available. I highly recommend this soundbar to anyone who struggles to hear the TV dialogue. The price was very reasonable and worth every cent.

Review: Connected the unit - Nothing, no display etc. Went through all the troubleshooting guides, still no joy. I wad just about to pack it up and send it back when I thought I’d try another 2-pin to 3-pin adapter (borrowed from a neighbour). That worked, but all throughout the troubleshooting, the back of the remote control kept falling off - frustrating to say the least. Contacted Vanguard, who were full of apologies, and said they would send a replacement control. Then they sent a message saying they couldn’t replace it and to return the whole package. By this time I’d thrown the packaging away, as I expected the promised replacement .In short, the unit has a “QC passed” sticker on it - obviously the doesn’t apply to accessories.My advice - buy from somewhere else

Review: My wife has hearing issues. Hearing dialogue in movie soundtracks is difficult because of all the background sound. This sound-bar has solved the problem. It has multiple settings which are easily adjustable so that the sound in every movie or video can be tweaked quickly to meet her needs.Set up instructions were clear. All necessary wiring and batteries were included. Manufacturer’s assistance is available.The sound-bar is relatively small, low profile and easy to fit into the TV setup.This is a superior product for the price, in my opinion.
