Title: I LOVE IT!
Review: I have white velvet furniture, so I was really anxious to get something that could handle any possible accidents. I love this machine!!! It literaly sucks up liquids and the solids all at once. It sucks up the liquid to an almost dry state out of carpets. It's easy to clean, because the suction container holds everything, but opens up widely so that it is easy to separate the solids from liquid and just pour the liquid out. Container is so easy to clean. This literally couldn't be better. Plus, you can turn the brush on and off as needed. This is literally the most AWESOME PRODUCT!!! You can't be disappointed.

Title: READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. THIS THING IS INCOMPETENT.
Review: With a "Buy it now" timeline of just a minute to go in order to get this quickly, I clicked the button and "read the reviews later." And as many folks have chimed in, "How bad could it possibly be?" So, now I have it, and I've tried to use it, and here is how I would describe it:THIS IS THE MOST INCOMPETENT BATTERY-POWERED DEVICE I HAVE EVER USED.One thing I came to understand is how there are actually a number of equivalents that certainly didn't show up in my Amazon search -- let's just say things from the Bissell brand. But again, that's what I've learned since going through some local stores, between the time I ordered this and the time I received it.The other thing to comprehend is the SHEER INCOMPETENCE of this turkey. Charging this will most likely ALWAYS mean "charging overnight" -- expect this to be offline for around 12 hours, every time you need to charge it. I have owned a whole bunch of battery-powered tools and vacuums and such over the years, and NOTHING has taken even ONE QUARTER of the time this thing takes to charge.And when you plug this in, you get a teensy tiny little blue light that lets you know "it's charging." Is there some kind of 'so many bars" display to show you that progress? Well, "not exactly." You certainly just look over at it, and see anything -- THERE IS NOTHING ELSE. Oh, you DO get a tiny little "button in disguise" (as best I can describe it) that you have to PUSH AND HOLD to see how many "bars" of charging you currently have -- some GENIUS at B&D decided that "nobody would care to see how many bars are available." Good freaking grief! I think I can rest assured that nobody reading this has experienced the joy of pushing and holding a button, HOUR AFTER HOUR AFTER HOUR AFTER HOUR, and seeing no progress whatsoever in that "bar of charge" display. Because it WILL sit there for hours, leaving you to worry that "this dang thing must be broken!"But no, after you let it sit overnight, the little blue light will go out, and just realize one simple thing: When the battery dies in the middle of your job, "YOU ARE DONE FOR TODAY."Then there are things like the "sprayer" built into the thing. DON'T EVEN FREAKING BOTHER. It's not "powered" by any means, and it doesn't spray very well at all. You will be FAR better off just putting your cleaning formula into any given spray bottle with a competent spray head, and using that to spray your formula around.Then there are things like how the "brush" is so far away from the "suction tip" of the device, it won't do ANYTHING unless you realize that you have to do whole separate step to hold it differently -- hold it one way to use suction / hold it a different way to use the brush. And so on.Frankly, you would be far better off to just go and find a small wet/dry "shop vac," and a spray bottle -- and then you'll be able to do at least as well as this thing, and far more likely, you'll do far better. "Starting at well under half the price" of this thing. Either that, or "research the competition." Be aware that there are competitors from major brands that Amazon apparently doesn't sell -- or at least, I sure didn't find anything from them in the searches I did which found this turkey.

Title: Its doable.
Review: I got this to clean my carpeted stairs and clean up pet messes mainly. I thought it would be great to vacume and wash my stairs but the suction isnt that great so it did take a little more time then i expected and didnt pick everything up. It has gotten dog poop out of my carpet tho. I wouldnt say it gets rid of any set stains that have been in the carpet long. I dont like that the sprayer is manual. I have used it a handful of times within the couple weeks ive had it and its already not spraying evenly . It is lighweight and super easy to use and figure out. I love that it comes apart easily and is easy to wash all compartments. When i used it on pet messes it did get rid of the smell quick. The batery life is short in my opinion. Overall it gets the job done for pet messes in the carpet but im deffinately looking for another option for a cordless handheald carpet cleaner. (I wanted to use this in my car but havnt done so yet bc i dont think it will work as i expect.)

Title: Weak suction. Paper towels worked better.
Review: I’ve had good luck with Black and Decker products but this one was an exception. The vacuum portion worked okay, it was easy to spray the cleaner onto the carpet and work it into the carpet with the brush bar. Where the item failed is in the weak suction of the cleaning solution back up from the carpeting. I had a very sick kitty that started to eliminate outside the litter box. I ignored it because he was dealing with enough and chose to clean it up after he sadly passed. Once the cleaning solution is on the carpeting, the only way to get the smell out is to suck up the dirty solution. This item failed to do that. I tried for a long time to use it as a wet vac by pressing it into the carpeting, angling the item until I could see solution being sucked up, then holding it in that spot until the solution stops being sucked up. The amount that I got into the collection basin was a small compared the amount of pet urine solution I used. I gave up on the item and instead used a stack of 10 paper towels, stepping on them and worked my way down to two paper towels to soak up the solution until the paper towel was dry. When I first started the paper towel method, the carpeting was still soaked. The item failed in sucking up an adequate amount of the dirty solution.

Review: Very poor suction, leaves a great deal of cleaner residue in carpet.Worst thing? The collection tank turned brittle after about 1 year of use and cracked. Cannot find a replacement tank anywhere in Canada; B+D supply net only ships to the US!You would be better off to use another manufacturer.
