Title: This Vacuum Really Sucks!
Review: We had a 20-yearold Eureka bagless that broke, and this was the nearest we found. Glad we did! It's a little larger than the broken one, but a bit less large, heavy and cumbersome than our old Hoover upright. And a lot lighter in weight! This one (somehow) came with the extra pet-hair mini roller brush, but I had to go look up the Bissell version on line to find out how to take it apart for cleaning the mini roller. Works the same, and the device is REALLY useful for getting into small places. We have a long-hair cat. With 8 amps, this thing really pulls up dirt! Seriously pulls up dirt! I set it to the low "Carpet" level, for an old shag carpet in the trailer house. I'm living here, but the owner's been here for a long time. I've been cleaning with that old Eureka, and it's (I thought) been pretty clean. I was getting a lot of fuzz, cat hair, and some fine dirt, but all in all, okay. Then I used this guy! Holy Cow!!The first pass after setting it up, there was almost an entire "bucket" container of something greyish-brown. Plus a lot of fuzz and a lot of cat hair. I asked the owner, who told me that many years ago, she'd had a flea problem and sprinkled diatomaceous earth all over. Fixed the fleas, but she never cleaned the carpets.Suddenly, I'm using this new Eureka and it's pulling EVERYthing out of the carpet! After only two times using it (back in April; it's now September), almost all that "dust" was gone. Now, I'm getting general dirt, cat hair, dust and carpet fuzz. Normal.1. After the first-time use, with the massive amount of "newly discovered" dirt, the roller bar was almost entirely clear! No wrapped hair or anything gunked up in the brush bristles. Amazing!2. Disassembling for cleaning, I found that the main vacuum body was almost entirely clean! No outer dust anywhere on the plastic. The only dust was at the connection hole between the body and the container bucket -- easy to clean with a swipe of a sponge or rag.3. Cleaning the container and filter was pretty simple, but a little bit of time involved.Cleaning:A push-button on the top handle releases the catch bin as a complete unit unto itself. There's another button near the bottom of that basin, which then releases a gravity-operated "lid." BE SURE TO KEEP THE BOTTOM OF THE BUCKET WELL BELOW THE UPPER EDGE OF YOUR TRASH CONTAINER!By pushing the release button to open the bottom of the bucket, you're simply dropping out ALL the crud you've picked up in the catch basin! It comes flying out, dust-cloud and all! Still, there's some remaining junk clinging to the clear plastic bucket walls.I like "BANG!" cleaner spray, which is cheap (Dollar Tree), and works very well. I also have a spray attachment on the kitchen sink, which makes it very easy to get water inside the bucket "tube." There's a plastic "clasp" or catch you pull on, to open the top of the overall basin. I'd imagine that catch will eventually break, but who knows.....none of the plastic on the 20-yearold ever broke. With the bottom open and the top hinged back, you can clean the entire catch basin. It's large enough (easily) that you can get your hand in there with a sponge. The BANG! makes it easier, and water rinses it all out.The entire filter section comes apart, which is why I bought this. You lift out the filter assembly (the instruction manual shows how), and there are several parts. The filter itself is foam with some sort of paper on top. It's there to prevent dust from blowing into the motor, and both the bottom (foam) and top (paper) got totally covered with dust. Being gentle with it, I was easily able to clean it under running water.I couldn't find these round filters anywhere in stores, so ordered a 6-pack of replacements on Amazon. Not all that expensive. I've used and cleaned this vacuum now probably 8 times (since April, it's now September), and the filter is still pretty together. I can see it's going to degrade, but if it lasts four months (or more), then I only need to replace it three times a year. Very cost effective. And this place has all the old micro dust along with the cat hair, so the filter has to get cleaned after each use. For "normal people" and their homes, I think you could use the cleaner several times without cleaning every single time. The attachments are all there, easily stored on the body of the machine. The hose attaches to the roller base during upright use, and comes loose to attach to the handle for portable use. DO follow the instruction manual! The places for the attachments, and how to connect the different hose operations aren't immediately obvious. Some people complain that the roller bar always turns. The old Eureka had a 2-way switch for upright (with roller bar), and portable (for smooth floors and portable use). This power switch only is On/Off. I don't care. You can raise the level of the roller for "wood floors," if it really makes you anxious. All in all, having sold vacuum cleaners in the past, I'd have to say this is one of the most powerful machines I've ever seen for its size, weight, and price! Yes, it's all plastic, to keep the weight around 8-10lbs or so, but today's plastics are pretty rugged. I'm thinking it'll last long enough to be a good investment.

Title: Works good and reasonably quiet
Review: The video for assembling this vacuum is not totally up to date for this latest model. There are instructions, so attaching the hose and adding the cord hooks are not that difficult. Vacuum is quiet enough and it doesn't spin the brush so fast as to throw everything around. (hear that, dirt devil?) I only used it for a few minutes just to make sure it worked and it did. My one issue isn't with the vacuum but with the occasional Amazon Delivery Driver not reading the address and putting the packages on the downstairs neighbor's porch causing that new Mother to move the boxes to my stairwell. I was watching for the delivery on-line but the neighbor was faster than me. I have mobility issues that is why I wish they would deliver to the correct porch. Probably a new driver being busy because of Prime Day.

Title: Eureka still has it!
Review: I have been a dedicated Shark user for at least 10 years and always swore there's be no other!! I've lost track on how many I've purchased but they are really good vacuums and a bit pricey. It was time for another and I decided I didn't want to spend 200.00 this time. This vacuum popped up on my Amazon feed. I read the reviews and fell in love with the low price, so against all of my beliefs I skipped on the Shark and bought this. Easy to assemble and I started vacuuming - mind you this is less than 8 hours after using my shark. Holy smokes! Suction power on carpets is far better than any Shark I've used. See before and after photos, much more impressive in person. The dust canister says it all! This is AFTER I just vacuumed! It's lightweight, a bit louder than I expected but I don't have sleeping babies, the cord is a great length and overall would have given this 5 starts BUT when you attempt to vacuum underneath nightstands, kitchen chairs, etc. it raises off the ground in the front. No more lazy vacuuming for me, but that's okay. Also, I have 80% hardwood floors with two long haired German Shepherd's - GREAT job on the dog hair! Very, very impressed with this vacuum and really impressed with saving some money and getting a better product! Great job Eureka!

Title: FINALLY!!!!
Review: I have 5 dogs and 8 cats and over the last 2.5 years I've had alot of rude disrespectful roommates and there animals being very dirty. With that in consideration I have never had such a amazing vaccum that picked up deep down in the carpet, I usually have to stop and empty the brush on my shampoo machine 6-9 times doing the same carpet. The amount of hair on the brush was very minimal considering all my animals I was very happy to also notice that there wasn't a bunch of debris in the dirty tank, and I didn't hear it picking up what my Shark left behind. I used the Eureka in my empty bedroom after my shark and got a TON of debris my over $200 Shark left behind. I am in love with this vaccum I had it on low carpet and it glided through and picked up so much debris. I didn't have a vaccum for over a week an this Eureka made it effortless to catch up with my carpets getting clean.

Title: This SUCKS!
Review: Oh, my goodness, this vacuum really sucks great. This is what it took for me to realize how much I needed a new unit. I was vacuuming in our storage room and the dust and dirt in the corners was sucked up easy and I did not even have to take out any of the additional tools. This review might be in error as I stated this unit is just surprising me left and right with the suction power. I was thinking, was my old vacuum that bad? I can't say that as when I was putting it out to the trash pile the neighbors asked if they could have it (after they turned it on and tested it). I have to give this review 5 stars as I am totally happy with this purchase!

Review: My daughter did her research and discovered this vacuum cleaner. Her thinking was to check the 3-star reviews on all the vacuum cleaners and those will tell you what, if anything, is wrong with the product. Then she read the 4-star and 5-star reviews and was impressed so she bought this one. She loved how light and easy it was to use along with the strong suction. She vacuumed one room and filled the canister. She told her mom who told me about it. I read the 5-star reviews myself and was compelled to buy this vacuum and test it for myself, thinking, how could such a low-priced vacuum cleaner be so good? So, I vacuumed our bedroom with our higher-end Kenmore upright, which I thought was quite decent, and then followed by using this Eureka vacuum. Well, I filled half a canister with fine dust, fluff, and hair. Wow!So, I bought one for my mother-in-law and vacuumed her family room a few hours after she vacuumed it. She noticed her carpet was looking newer since the carpet fibres were standing up (from the suction). I examined the canister which was 3/4 full, and saw some fluff, a little hair but a lot of fine dust and what looked like super fine sand. She was impressed and since she had trouble with her elbow she loved how light and easy it was to use.So, Eureka has 3 loyal customers. Great design and engineering on this powerful and easy-to-use vacuum cleaner. To those who find it difficult to push, set the carpet pile one notch higher. You have to realize that with super suction comes a little effort to push but pulling is super easy. You can't have great suction without a little effort. Just remember to go slowly forward and backward to let the vibration and suction do their thing. In my opinion, this does a better job than $800 (even $2000) vacuum cleaners so I'm planning on buying a spare (or two) soon!
