Review: Iâve spent 25 years buying the cheap vacuums. I realized how stupid this was both for my wallet and the environment. So I bought a Dyson. And after the Dyson battery died in ten minutes, I called customer service and they said it usually lasts 7-8 so ten was great! So I returned the Dyson and asked my friends with pets which vacuums they recommended.Across the board maybe 20 people recommended Shark brand with no allegiance to a specific model. They all had great things to say about every model they owned. Why I ultimately chose the Stratos:1: I didnât need a huge storage capacity. I only have one cat, no kids, and weâre relatively tidy. So the smaller storage canister didnât bother me.2. Convenience of being cordless was nice but thanks to the crap dyson I knew Iâd rather unplug/plug in and maneuver a cord than spend time conning my executive dysfunction into vacuuming only to have the battery die. I donât need all that. Give me the cord.3. I donât need a lot of attachments and what it came with was good enough for us. HOWEVER: I wouldnât have been disappointed with one of those bristle duster brushes.4. I needed something that was going to pick up litter and sand. This model has a stronger motor than other models, so I picked this one with the idea that more power equals more suction.Let me tell you how it has exceeded my basic needs and expectations:1. IT IS SELF PROPELLED. Yeah. Did I miss that in the description? Because it is. Itâs already easy af to use but on medium pile carpet it is so much easier than any vacuum Iâve used in my life. Ever. The inconvenience of it not standing upright on its own is offset by the fact that it is self propelled. Itâs amazing. You donât know you want it until you have it. Trust me.2. This thing picks up litter AND litter dust that I couldnât even see. Additionally, the suction doesnât diminish just because you use an attachment. The angled nozzle is awesome for vacuum dusting around floor and ceiling moulding. The flat one is really great on the upholstered furniture and carpeted cat condo.3. Speaking of seeing, it has a light on the front which is pretty rad. Especially if youâre using it on dark hardwood floors and you want the satisfaction of seeing the black cat hair get sucked up. Itâs great for that.4. It gets down low enough that I can easily vacuum under a king bed.5. Speaking of â if you have say, a cat toy under your bed that you donât know about it doesnât try to suck it up. I mean it does, but it stops, you get a red error light, you turn off the power, remove the stuck object, in our case a 6â bunny toyâ and turn it back on. It automatically stops turning the brushes so youâre not sitting there burning a belt in the 5 seconds it takes for you to compute whatâs happening. What number am I on?6? 6. It sucks the ground up through your carpet. I swear. It gets things the Dyson is too weak to suck up.7. Itâs not very loud. Itâs a vacuum so it makes vacuum noises but for comparison my cat was terrified of our old school bissell vacuum, and did not enjoy the high pitched whirring of the Dyson. This doesnât bother him. Heâs pretty skittish and heâll stay in the same room with it running. Itâs quiet enough that I can ask Alexa to turn a light on or something while vacuuming.8. The odor neutralizer â I donât know if it *does* anything but it smells nice and thatâs enough to dazzle me.9. There is a little thing in the basket that is cone shaped. Maybe 3â long â hair wraps around that every time. Even long curly hair and cat hair. Itâs designed that when you pop open the bucket thing to empty it the motion removes the hair wads from the cone. Itâs smartly designed.10. I have 3 carpeted rooms, two rooms with tile, two large rooms with laminate, and a hallway. The canister is more than enough to handle all of that in one pass. But I also am in the habit of emptying it every time I use it no matter which vacuum I have.I know this must sound like overkill but I spent a week going through like 60 different vacuums trying to figure out which one I was going to blow $250+ on. And Iâm so glad I went with this one.I havenât had to change the filters or odor neutralizer yet and yeah, boo hoo it doesnât stand up so sometimes you have to inconveniently lean it against the wall and you have to store it with a hook or leaned against a wall but who cares if everything else is amazong?Just buy it.

Title: Shark HZ2002 Vertex Ultralight Corded Vac
Review: This is an excellent little stick vacuum cleaner with sufficient power to do just about any household cleaning job. I was considering another very popular, and expensive, brand that uses battery power. Batteries are very expensive to replace so I elected to purchase the Vertex as it is powered by electricity. Unlike other electrical vacs I have had in the past, the power cord on the Vertex is located in a perfect position (at the top of the unit), so you don't have to wrestle with the cord while vacuuming. The swivel head is excellent. It allows you to maneuver around and under furniture. The light is bright enough to allow use in dark areas. I use this on very plush/thick carpet with no issues. The control switch makes it very easy to change from hardwood floors to carpet. The brushroll technology is excellent, and as stated, self-cleaning. The unit is very lightweight, which makes cleaning carpeted stairs a breeze. The debris collection container is rather small but is very easy to detach and empty. The universal design allows for detachment of the power head, thereby allowing conversion to a hand-held unit for vacuuming countertops and furniture. Attachments can be configured to vacuum high areas such as drapes. This is an excellent little lightweight vacuum for the price, and it works as good at the more expensive ones.

Title: Mostly perfect with a few misses
Review: I don't personally like cordless vacuums because they just aren't all that powerful, and they rarely last long enough to clean my entire apartment. I wanted something corded, yet light and maneuverable. Some of the plusses are that it does have a VERY long cord so I don't need to replug in other rooms. It also has decently good suction and isn't overly loud. It's lightweight enough although the power head is heavier than even the motor which sits on top. Build quality seems decent although like everything these days it's mostly made of plastic. It picks up a surprising amount of dirt, and the canister is easy to empty. The extra filtration is a nice touch. So what are the negatives? Mostly not picking. The cord although long is incredibly stiff and difficult to work around. I hope it eventually breaks in and gets softer but right now it's a pain to even wind up.The other negative is the forward dust roller. It does do a nice job of essentially dusting and polishing the floor with it's buffing action. The problem is that it's so dense, it essentially blocks all suction from the front of the head. So when you vacuum up against the wall or baseboard, it won't catch the crumbs or other stuff in the corner! You basically need to swing the head sideways to get any suction to clean against the wall. An oversight in my eyes!Lastly I didn't care much for the auto sensing feature. It works well, but even lifting the head slightly off the floor when maneuvering causes it to go into carpet mode. Which by the way is so strong, it pulls the machine forward with zero effort. Almost *too* strong in fact.

Review: Knowing my carpet is clean!! You can feel the vacume working. It feels sturdy and strong. The odour technology is a bonus. The vacume seemed to warm up after 20 minutes of vacume. The only recommendation I have is is maybe not so much for a petite woman. It seems quite tall. I'm 5'6" and it seemed tall, but maybe I have been vacuuming wrong all along. The pictures were taken after 1st use on a already vacumed carpet. AMAZING..hope it lasts!

Review: Where to start???First off, cordless is fine but has it's own issues such as battery life, charge time, and battery longevity (they stop holding a charge after a while). Eventually they hold such a short charge the product is unusable. Buy new batteries. Yes.... Because a cordless stick vacuum isn't expensive enough as it is. LoL!!So, having to plug a vacuum in is far from an inconvenience. Also, having a corded motor means more power, more suction. The Shark HZ2002 Vertex stick vacuum is a MONSTER with a whopping 380 watt motor and a 30 foot cord.It has dual rollers in the head (which is a powered head to add). One at the rear with bristles and the front with a polymer rubber fin design. So it's abilities to scoop up debris from laminate floors, linoleum, hardwood or any hard floors is flawless.Vacuuming kitty litter and afraid of getting 500mph granular projectile blasted back at you? No fear. The HZ2002 Vertex doesn't let a single morsel out of it's vortex. It sucks everything in and nothing escapes. As for carpet, the suction is also unparalleled by any vacuum on the market in this price range. My carpets look brand new. I was ready to rent a bin and chuck all of my area rugs. The Vertex HZ2002 had such an incredible impact on these carpets because it lifted deep dirt and tracked-in debris with it's impressive suction power. The triple air filter system is another bragging point. Easy to clean, and recirculates the exhaust air without worry of blowing dust or allergens back into the air you are breathing in.In addition, this vacuum is GREAT on pet fur that gets dug into the fibres of carpet and furniture. It comes with a smaller furniture head as well as a bristle fitting and a long tappered hose for hard to reach, tight spots. What else? It is VERY maneuverable and agile. The LED lights on the front are awesome and bright. The canister SEEMS small but it is perfect. And super easy to clean.Cordless vacuums have to conserve power so the head on them is powered by air flow and gearing which is inferior for proper suction. This vacuum has restored my faith in companies again. I started to think everything in this world was low quality and overpriced gimmicks. Thank you Shark!! I will be a loyal customer for the rest of my days if you keep delivering phenomenal products like this that work flawlessly. You raised the bar in the vacuum industry.

There are mixed opinions on how easy it is to clean, its maneuverability, and its size.
