Title: Fast and Effective
Review: So I was looking for a product that I could use wirelessly and monitor vape activity at the school I work at. Fortunately this product does exactly what I am looking for. It has brackets so it be attached to the ceiling and sends notifications when vape activity is detected. I would recommend this to anyone else to use and will be purchasing more in the future. Cheers

Title: There is a hidden subscription...3 stars because I haven't tested yet
Review: So, after getting it plugged in on a test bench and downloading the app, I find out that if you want notifications on your phone or via sms, you need to pay a fee. $10 for 100 messages to a monthly subscription. I don't remember reading that in the description, so it would've been nice to know.I don't have power to the desired mounting location, so I'm testing it powered by a usb power bank. Seeing how long it'll be powered by the bank while also testing the power off notification. I'll update when more information is gained.

Title: Best For Home Use
Review: This vape detector is really the first of its kind that I have seen. Vaping is such a problem for some because it can be undetectable just using your sense of smell, like you can with traditional smoking. The fact that it can detect vape smoke is a neat feature for a device, however I think that this device has some flaws not yet thought about. For starters, I think it really matters where you are targeting. For the home a micro-USB power cable may work, but I think that it should have a built-in battery for an alarm in case someone disconnects the power. The conduit and way of installing would not deter a teen one bit, especially if they are in an area that has a lower ceiling. In my opinion it needs to be easier to secure from tampering. The other issue is the USB cord itself is very short. Assuming one will be installing this device on the ceiling to minimize tampering, you will need a longer micro-USB cable to provide power. For a school or hospital setting, I think that this does not work well with a micro-USB. I think they should offer the ability to connect it via a POE system for networking. The app and micro-USB cable are okay for the home setting, but not the public setting. Running network cable to connect and power the device makes much better sense to me. I think this first version is ok for the home setting, but if for a school, hospital, or large business, I would wait for the next version or two when they decide to add a network port.

Title: Sensitive in a good way.
Review: Grabbed this for my rental properties so there would be absolutely no smoking of any kind, worked like a charm. Definitely worth every penny, especially since they were so low priced. Easy to install Tok less than 15 mins

Title: It could be better
Review: Would recommend for small business or home use, if you work for a district you may need something more turn key at the app end to show your administrators the value this provides. Also something that can be powered by a existing cable run or by a ethernet cable. If you just want to monitor a rental or your home or business this may be more for you as own this device out right out. The standard app works well enough to give you a tale tell sign if vaping has taken place. The way this is powered is obsolete this could have been POE or USB C all in the name of making this slim there is no built in battery. I do not like the way you need to run a usb cable to this it just does not seem like a finished product for enterprise levels of deployment. If anyone went to their CTO or board seeking funding for this you would also have to tack on the expense of making sure you have budgeted for outlets where this is being mounted. This device could fulfil a great need in the space but to me this feels like a unfinished prototype that I would not recommend to any place that needs more than 1 or 2 even then Id have to recommend it to those who have power near where this is being mounted or you going to have run conduit to this and the tacky usb cable that connect to this isnt a strong connection type, a ethernet cable would put up more of a fight in tampering. This has so much potential I hope there is a revised version of this some day.

Title: Sometimes Finnicky
Review: I tested the vape detector by Forensics brand and have mixed feelings about its performance. In some instances, it detected vaping accurately, but on other days, it failed to detect even when I smoked two vapes simultaneously. The environment in which the detector is installed is crucial. The instructions mention that certain humidity levels and conditions can cause malfunctions and false readings.Personally, I feel this vape detector is overpriced and seems to serve more as a deterrent for kids, employees, or guests rather than a consistently reliable device. The system is advanced and might be best suited for a classroom environment, suspended from a drop ceiling. During my tests, I did not permanently install it on the ceiling but rather simulated a setup and vaped under the detector. Sometimes it correctly alerted to the presence of vaping, but not consistently.Overall, while the concept is promising, the inconsistent performance and environmental sensitivity make it hard to justify the high price. It might work better in controlled environments, but for general use, there are some significant drawbacks.

Title: Doesn't work.
Review: I bought this vape detector for my office, hoping it would help discourage employees from vaping indoors. Unfortunately, it doesn't work at all. We've had multiple instances of people vaping right in front of it and it hasn't picked up vaping once. I'm extremely disappointed and feel like I wasted my money on a useless product. Don't bother buying this if you're looking for an effective way to detect vaping.
