Title: The perfect cookbook to round out my cookbook collection
Review: I learned about the science behind a vegan diet and wanted to give it a try but did not want to eat tasteless food and punish myself. This cookbook is for people who want to love their food. Had a physical 2 1/2 weeks after going vegan using Mary Bernt's recipes and was astonished . My cholesterol went from 240 to 202 and my ratio of LDL to HDL was excellent. My blood pressure was hovering around 140 over 80 and went down to 120 over 70. My triglycerides and blood sugar levels went from high risk to excellent. These results in 2 1/2 weeks -- amazing. Some of Mary's recipes are quick & easy. Others take time and effort but are worth it for special occasions. Mary Bernt is a culinary vegan genius! Use Mary's cookbooks and you will never miss animal products. She has another cookbook called I Love Veggies which is also excellent.

Title: The Best of Veggies Cookbook
Review: I have known Mary Bernt personally for several years. She is by far the best vegan cook I know. I watched her take the recipes in this cookbook and create a vegan restaurant in cattle country (where everyone eats meat) and make it a success. Her recipes are tasty even to the non-vegetarian, "where's the beef" palette.The taste is amazing but there are wonderful side benefits as well. Mary uses these recipes in her cooking schools and the people who are willing to adjust their lives to eating this way reap the rewards of seeing their health improve in many ways.I can't say enough good about Mary's desire to help educate people to live healthier, happier lives and her cookbooks are just one avenue through which she accomplishes that purpose.

Title: Eat Your Veggies!
Review: I first encountered Mary's wonderful cooking at Veggie's in Rapid City, SD several years ago. When I learned that she had produced a cook book, I immediately ordered a copy and have been thrilled with the delectable selections she has chosen to share.The recipes in this book are easy to make and simple to understand. The ingredients are readily available at most local grocery stores, and most of the recipes require only about 15 minutes to prepare. Of course that's what it takes me, so your mileage may vary. The print is easy to read, so you can keep focused on making that delicious food rather than squinting to see what's the next ingredient.Thank you Mary for such a wonderful book!

Title: a vegan book
Review: I bought this book thinking it would show new ways of cooking vegetables. I did not know it was a vegan cookbook. This book is ok ig you like tofu, tamari, tahini, succanat, shoyu and other things in that ategory. Would have sent it back but it wasn't worth my time.

Title: Wonderful vegan recipes!!!
Review: Great recipes. My daughter spent a few months in OK and worked at Veggies as an externship for her Baking and Pastry education. I got to eat some of Mary's food first hand. Delicious!!! Great little recipe book.

Title: A taste of heaven...:)..yummm
Review: Where do i even begin??!! The recipes in this book CHANGED MY LIFE!! I was a meat-eater til I was 18 and then I was introduced to Mary and her cooking, which was different from any food I was normally used to. I was shocked and surprisingly satisfied with what I tasted and then I bought a copy of her cookbook and started using it at home. I fell completely in love with the Cheezie Sauce recipe and couldn't believe it was vegan food i was eating! I made dozens of other simple recipes from this cookbook and realized that anybody can eat healthy and still have delicious, filling and homemade meals that will do wonders on the health and longevity of the body!! When I worked at Veggies in Ardmore, OK I ate nothing but Mary's food and within 2 weeks I lost 7 lbs!! Now everytime I want to impress my carnivorous friends with something that will not only WOW their tastebuds, but will change the way they view Vegan Vegetarian food for the better?...i whip out my favorite cookbook "The Best of Veggies" and pick a recipe! (and it doesn't matter which one, cause they are ALL AMAZING!!) I fully recommend this cookbook for anyone wanting to either find some new and original recipes to make or to just generally FEEL BETTER. I can't WAIT til the next one comes out!!!!!!! GO VEGGIES!!!!

Title: Best of the best
Review: I also grew up on the recipes in this book. As a 23-year-old working college student it can be hard to find the time to eat healthy. With these recipes I am proud to say that I can cook up an amazing meal from scratch and still have time for some studying. When I have people over they always want this cookbook and now they can finally get it. I personally love the fruit soup its a great morning dish especially when your tired of the same breakfast foods all the time. Another favorite of mine is the veggie lasagna and usually I make the cheesy sauce a double recipe and leave out the cornstarch from half of it and save it in my freezer for later. Cheesy sauce is awesome for nachos, as a dip, and so many other things. Another great recipe is the cashew gravy. I've had meat eaters enjoy this way more then non-vegetarian gravy and it's so quick and easy to make. This cookbook is by far the best source for a guiltless, tasty, and enjoyable meal.
