Title: Reliable and super easy to install & activate
Review: I can’t say enough about how well our Arlo products have performed for us. Our Google Nest doorbell quit after 2 years and I chose to replace it with Arlo doorbell and chime. The package arrived a day early. Installation and set up were very easy. There really aren’t any written directions because everything is done through easy to follow step by step instructions. I did have a question about the hardware and the pamphlet referred me to their support. It was a little difficult finding the answer I needed on the site but I did find the answer I needed. I saw in another review that people could not scan the QR code on the Arlo chime (purchased separately) and it is tiny. I took a photo of it, cropped it, airdropped it to my iPad and from there the chime picked it up easily. So far I love all of the features and the picture is great. Some people don’t like the optional support and cloud storage but I have it and it is well worth the price. Buy it. You will not regret it.

Title: Great for the intended use, poor motion detection/app
Review: The doorbell is great, it has great image quality, it's easy to install. Night vision is great, very little noise. Battery life seems great and you can always buy a spare battery so you won't go without your doorbell while charging.The down sides are:1. 2.1Ghz wifi only. If your device is too far from your router, it will take some time to refresh.2. Poor motion detection options in the app. It won't let you disable it, only adjust sensitivity. And even if I set sensitivity to 1 (lowest), it will alert me whenever someone passes in front of it. It may be great for a house, not so cool for town houses/busy areas.3. You can set Activity zones (areas in the image where the device would trigger an alert if it detects motion), but these doesn't seem to be taken into consideration if you leave alerts enabled.Overall, it is a great product. The motion detection feature might work better for houses than townhouses and/or areas with lots of pedestrian traffic.

Title: Amazon service great-arlo not so much.
Review: I loved the Amazon service and quick delivery, as usual with Amazon; now, getting excellent service with arlo, but not so much. I had a difficult time getting the product online. This is my second Doorbell video from arlo, as the 1st was damaged and had to be replaced. The 1st doorbell was installed flawlessly. This one, not so much.It may have something to do with getting the serial into arlo database before it connects to your wi-fi 2ghz. After a couple of days, I finally got an actual person from tech to assist. Wouldn't you know if the phone connection was dropped? When I got a return call from the tech, I had the doorbell installed and working. But I remember providing the tech with the model & serial number, and she must have entered it because my doorbell finally connected to my home wi-fi!Sp, just beware: you may run into hiccups if you are trying to install a doorbell video. You will have to jump through a few hoops to reach a tech via phone so they can personally enter the credentials of the doorbell video. (This is by no means an Amazon issue; it falls upon Arlo solely).

Title: Nice design
Review: When i purchased this brand vs another little did i know the battery life is not as good.Very annoying features how on how they workOnce someone rings doorbell you cant even avoid them . You cant just press and go into app and see without having to answer / press button.Also i had to reduce all notifiactions because it was all so too much.Then its not like my other oneThe other one has almost like 360 to see all around …and much easier to use . They had a better trial period also , if i recall correctly. With Arlo , once the 30 day trial is over your device does not work …you should be able to see outside your camera live even if not on a plan to record / store videos etc.I prefer my other one and would rather buy a bran new of the other brand vs almost $80.00 for a basic yearly plan.

Review: Relatively easy to set up out of the box, and to date (2 weeks) has worked very well. I opted to pay for the Arlo monthly plan which includes object and movement recognition. The night vision is especially good quality - amazing! I have not yet tried talking to anyone at the door, I really use the system to screen visitors, so that I avoid talking to un-wanted solicitors. There is a cool feature where you can use pre-recorded messages to people at the door, but I have not bothered to try it. The video quality for the paid service is very clear. I recommend this product for anyone looking for an easy to use and flexible doorbell camera / talking doorbell.
