Calling all superstars! The Mario Party series is back with 5 classic boards from the Nintendo 64 Mario Party games. Race to get the most stars (and sabotage your opponents) on boards like the stellar Space Land or the spooky Horror Land! Party at your own pace by suspending a game and picking up right where you left off! The tides can turn quickly in Mario Party, so stay vigilant, partygoers. All modes can be played online*, too!
Play 100 classic minigames from the Nintendo 64 and Nintendo GameCube games and more in Mt. Minigames!
Try your hand at a superstar collection of minigames from throughout the Mario Party series. Whether you are saving up coins for stars in board game mode or enjoy one of the 7 modes included in Mt. Minigames, there is nothing quite like being the last one standing in Bumper Balls or the first team making it out of the darkness in Dungeon Duos. All minigames are played with button controls, so you can stick to the Joy-Con controller or bust out the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller or a Nintendo Switch Lite system.
Party with superstars near or far
Bring the party anytime, anywhere with same-system**, local wireless**, or online* play. Use stickers to praise or pester fellow players as you race across the board collecting stars. All modes support online multiplayer, so you can hop in with friends for a few minigames or a marathon 30-turn match. Victory is just as sweet (and stealing stars is just as satisfying) from anywhere across the globe.

Title: Glad I got it at a good price!
Review: I haven't really played any Mario Party games, but my niece's boyfriend brought it along for us to play and we all loved it. Very enjoyable to play as a family. The moment I saw it on sale on Amazon I bought it. Especially since Mario games rarely reduce in price.

Title: Reminds me of Mario Party from my Childhood
Review: I just bought this game a few days ago, and only played through a few boards so far. But, already, I can say this is a great game. I used to love Mario Party when I was a kid and would play with friends and family. In an attempt to replicate that joy, when I had a 3DS, I bought Mario Party Island Tour, and that game was horrible. It felt cheaply made, and all the fun removed. So when I saw the Switch had Mario Party, I was hesitant, thinking it would be just as bad as Island Tour. But after a few years of this game being out, I finally decided to get it, and I love it! It's so much like the Mario Party of my childhood. Brought me alot of joy this weekend, after having a rather tough week.

Title: A worthy modern remake, and a return to form.
Review: Are you a Mario Party fan who has been let down by the series since 9, and felt Super Mario Party was a poor imitation? If so, this game is for you!The best way to describe Superstars is to think of it like a remixed greatest hits album. The game consists of five boards from the first three games, as well as 100 mini-games from all the games. One might hear this and think: why should I spend $60 on this when I can get Mario Party 2 for a fraction of that price? You would be right: but this game has full online multiplayer. That's right, you can play Mario Party online with your friends. In addition, there are some nice quality-of-life improvements to the games:- Peach's Birthday Cake has the Bowser seed in a different location, and going to Bowser is actually a good shortcut to get to the star.- You can now fast-forward through the previously unskippable board cutscenes.- The items that the shops sell are now tailored to the board. There are a lot more warp blocks in Woody Woods, and more Chomp Whistles in Horror Land.- Some of the mini-games have been revamped. Dizzy Dancing now has several notes to collect, and Mushroom Mix-Up now has different patterns on the mushrooms, allowing color-blind players to play along much easier.- The game tells you how many spaces you are away from the star, and at junctions, will mark where you will land.- In the last five turns, the board music will change to a more frantic remix.Yet there are also some strange quirks in the game:- Some of the mini-games seem redundant. There are two "count the enemies" games, and two "jump on enemies to ascend the highest" games.- This one brings back the Lucky Spaces from Super Mario Party, where a roulette wheel gives you either coins, an item, or reduces the price of the star. I'm not certain if I like this feature or not. There are so many of these spaces on the board that it seems to slow the gameplay down. It also makes winning mini-games not as necessary.- The AI in this game can be monumentally stupid, even at the highest difficulty level. I've seen cases where they will miss shortcuts to the star, or use items for short-term gain instead of thinking ahead.- This game has achievements, and some of them involve being in the top 1000 on online records for certain mini-game feats. Knowing how competitive players are, some of these achievements are going to become downright impossible after a few months.Should you buy it?If you have never owned a Mario Party game before, and this sounds interesting to you, then definitely buy it. However, if you already own the N64 games, consider whether the online play and quality-of-life improvements make it all worthwhile. Perhaps wait until Black Friday for the price to go down.
