La Bella Has Over 400 Years of String Making Experience
The tradition of string making dates back to the 1640s in Salle, Italy, where the Mari family supplied gut strings to the famous violin builders of Cremona. In 1913, brothers Olinto & Emilio Mari arrived in New York bringing their family craft to the States. Over the years, the brothers shaped the landscape of the string industry with their innovative designs. Every set is manufactured using a perfect combination of traditional methods and latest technologies to produce a superior string.
2001 Flamenco - Medium Tension
The quintessential flamenco set, Flamenco 2001 Medium Tension strings produce a sound that is robust and luminous yet feel extremely flexible. Sensitive to the touch and responsive to the slightest change in tone or attack, these strings have a tremendous ease of playing that will appeal to most players.
Flamenca Negra treble strings possess a greater power, brilliance and a longer string life than any other string design on the market Silver-Plated wound basses produce exceptional memory for pitch and consistent sound production Medium Tension String Gauges: Black Nylon Trebles: .029 .0335 .041; Silver-Plated Wound Basses: .029 .035 .042 Made in the USA with American Wire
Excellent Quality and Performance: Flamenco 2001 Medium Tension strings are designed for today's remarkable guitars and the exceptional technique of contemporary concert performers. Most heavier designed sets produce a dull and thuddy sound. These hard tension strings are the exception and create a bright and forceful tone with a true flamenco attack. This special construction keeps the traditional string gauges and outlasts every other high tension string on the market.
Flamenco Guitar Strigs: The 2001 Series Flamenco Guitar Strings are the first choice of professional flamenco guitarists in Spain and throughout the world. In a class by themselves, these sets were developed in cooperation with leading flamenco guitarists. All set designs were tested and refined for more than two years in recitals, recording studios and tablad performances.
String Gauges: Black Nylon Trebles: .028 .032 .040; Silver-Plated Wound Basses: .029 .035 .042. La Bella 2001 Flamenco Guitar Strings are crafted from the finest materials and manufactured to the most exacting standards. Black Nylon trebles provide brilliant tones, and Silver-Plated wound basses.
Made in the Usa: La Bella guitar strings are made in the USA with American wire. Our strings are packaged using MAP Technology (Modified Atmosphere Packaging). This process controls the amount of oxygen and moisture in the packaging, which helps keep your strings fresh.

Title: Perfect for classical and flamenco
Review: Amazing guitar strings. I love the black colored treble strings too. These strings sounded amazing since I got them in the mail in January 7th. The D string ripped three days ago, but it was my fault as I should have replaced them already. I play Flamenco(mostly bulerias), and some classical every single day.The sound is so rich. I don't have any other creative way of being able to explain it. I usually buy D'Addarios but these blew them out of the park. Picado, alzapua, tremolo, and everything else sounds amazing with these strings. I plan on getting Tomatito strings next to keep on testing what works best on my Cordoba guitar. It might sound better on some guitars than on others, but for my model, it has worked great.

Title: Not bad a bit dull on GBE 1st 3,string
Review: After installing them they loose tuning of trying for 3 days now.The high tone string 321 or GBE are dull and not so bright on my Cordoba Flamenco 55FCE guitarI would say that the D'Addario flamenco set is just about as good or even better for

Title: Has that Flamenco tone
Review: The first thing noticed was that pure flamenco sound as soon as i performed some rasgueados. The bass strings have an awesome sound that when doing pulgar techniques will make your notes pop. Very addictive sound from these flamenco strings. Will be ordering more soon !

Title: Good basses, hate the trebles
Review: I really like the sound and feel of these low tension basses. They are easier to play, but sound expressive and sweet. Not floppy. But the trebles weren't good quality or good for me at all. The 3rd string was defective, wouldn't intonate and was defective in its tuning stability generally as well. And trebles feel hard on the finger tips and much less comfortable than thicker strings rated at more tension from a regular nylon set. I did get some quick wear on the wound 4th string, but nothing other than a visual issue so far. In the future, I might buy just this bass set where I can get them, and pick other strings for the trebles. At the moment I have the basses paired with some daddario moderate tension rectified trebles (their low tension for rectified) which I lightly polished (carefully) with very high grit micro mesh pads to ease off some of that finger noise.

Title: Gorgeous tone andgreat feel
Review: I absolutely love these strings. I put them on my Yamaha yg372 after having D'addario's on it. I liked the D'addario's but will be sticking to the Labella fro now on. Superior sound and feel especially on the trebels. Wow! What a difference! I also just re-strung another guitar with more expensive strings but an unnamed manufacturer that begins with an S....... but they are not as good.

Title: Excellent strings at a price
Review: These strings deliver almost exactly what I was looking for. The trebles are resonant and projecting and the basses are bright. For reference, my flamenco guitar is a Cordoba F10 which generates a great sound and is very playable, but the basses tend to be very percussive (which some people like, where I prefer a brighter bass). These strings did the trick and the sound is great. One thing to note about the LaBella strings is that the low tension is more of a "normal" tension from other string manufacturers (judging by the actual lbs of tension on the string itself). I was looking for a low tension string, but normal is fine; however, that is part of why I deducted 1 start. The second reason is the price. These are relatively expensive strings for what you get. I would say that the D'Addario flamenco set is just about as good (basses not quite as bright) and substantially less.

Review: The sound produce by any given set of strings will vary by instrument and playing technique and is subject to personal taste. The musical genre will also inform the choice. In that context I find these strings a good compromise for both flamenco and folk. Excellent percussive effects and sweet sustain.
