Review: Looks good, you get what you see I like the 10 device licence, wish it was for more years at least 3, but it's ok. So far so good.

Title: Works as advertised
Review: Install was easier than I expected, had no problems. Software has more features than expected. It will update most of your other software and help it run a little faster. No complaints yet.

Title: Not as robust as expected
Review: Purchased and installed for protection on a new laptop purchased. Maybe the issues are more my fault, as I did not research as much as I should have in wanting to get my new laptop online and updating safely. I am finding the interface difficult to navigate and also disappointed that though it tells me how many items it has found, blocked, or deleted that I can not seem to find details on what items it has acted on, so I am unable to learn from my experiences what to avoid doing. No log files available as far as I can find. Also, as a 3 device license I also installed on the older laptop I was using (Win 7) and when on that machine McAfree tells me that machine is not protected even though it is and it will tell me what it is doing to protect me.

Title: Deceptive Activation Proccess. Lack of Control over Excessive and Annoying Notifications.
Review: After having a previous bad experience with Mcafee a few years ago, I decided to give them another shot in the hopes that they addressed some of my concerns with their excessive notifications. Unfortunately, the situation has only gotten worse.First, during the activation process, after entering the key code from Amazon, I clicked on the "Next" button, and was taken to a screen that required I enroll in "Auto-Renewal". I couldn't find any link, button, or tab that let me decline and move on to the next step. However, I was able to "Go Back" to the previous screen (via the browser's back button), and noticed a link in small font that would take me to my account. Clicking on it, I found that the product had indeed been added to my Mcafee account, and I was able to continue on with downloading the software and installing it on my computer. After installing the software, I immediately started encountering annoying notifications. The first was a marketing update asking If I wanted to upgrade my protection to a more expensive product. When I attempted to disable marketing notifications (which could be done in earlier versions of Mcafee), I found that there were absolutely no controls for disabling any notification regardless of type. Additionally, when setting up the software, I was asked if I wanted to download and install the Web Protection Plug in for my browser. I opted not to, and was only given an option to be reminded in 7 days to install the plug-in. Worse, after I rebooted my computer a half hour later, I received a notification stating my Web Protection wasn't installed (which wasn't 7 days). Finally, I ran a full scan of the computer, and a "threat" was discovered and subsequently quarantined. When I clicked on the notification, it didn't tell me what the threat was. I provided an alpha-numeric code, but when I tried to Google the threat code, Google drew a blank. The only search results were from various social media sites with other Mcafee users asking the same type of question, without any success.I've opted to uninstall the product, and look for another solution.

Title: It keeps you posted.
Review: It is the only security I use and it is easy to use if you want to do an unscheduled scan. It keeps you posted of all alerts,
