The kit includes: Test cassette, buffer, lancet, alcohol swab, capillary dropper, leaflet, color card.
Preparations: Store the test in the sealed bag at room temperature or in the refrigerator. Do not use after the expiration date.
How to take the test: Wash your hands and let the bag reach room temperature. Open the bag and take out the test cassette. Place it on a clean surface. Remove the lancet's cap and use the alcohol swab to clean the fingertip. Pierce the fingertip with the lancet and massage to obtain a blood droplet. Let the blood and capillary dropper come into contact without squeezing. Transfer the blood to the test cassette and add the buffer. Wait for 10 minutes and read the result using the color card. Do not interpret the result immediately or after 20 minutes.

Title: Vitamin D test to check for deficient or sufficient
Review: I already know what my D levels were a few months ago and wanted to test to see if there's been any improvement without having to go back for another lengthy office visit if it's not necessary. While the test doesn't provide exact blood values, it did provide a range. Anyway, I tested below "Sufficient" so I guess it's back to the doctor's to have my supplement dosage adjusted. For me personally, the test costs way less than my copay so it was worth finding out if I was still deficient. If you want exact blood values, you'll either need to see your doctor or order the home collection kit that has to be mailed in.

Title: Pretty Good, But I Consider it More Like Supplementary Data
Review: So this does seem to work, although I have no baseline data to compare it to. It is indeed easy to use and it took me less than 15 minutes from opening the package to getting a reading, and it gives you a range of where you are. I found it easy to understand. My only though is that it's just one test. I think it would be preferable have more data, which would come from doing multiple tests over time and across the seasons. That's something I personally would prefer to do with a professional, but this seems like a reasonable and inexpensive one-time method to see what range I am in.

Title: Very Broad Results
Review: The test is simple and easy. My problem was with the results. Insufficient (10-30ng/ml) and Sufficient (30-100ng/ml) lines are very close. I was unable to differentiate between them. Therefore, my result could be between 10 and 100, which was not helpful at all to me. Even if my result was between 30 and 100 it is still a very broad result. I do not recommend it. It is a waste of money.

Title: At home Vitamin D test
Review: I recently ordered a Vitamin D level test and was pleased with how quick and easy it was to use. I did the test at home and got my results in just 10 minutes. The instructions were clear, but I did struggle a bit to remove the cap from the lancet. You need to pull on it fairly hard to get the cap off. The only part that could be improved is the interpretation of the results. It was a little challenging to figure out which category my results fell into. I've attached a picture of my results, and it seems that my levels are insufficient. I plan to take action and re-test to see if my levels improve. This is great price compared to going to the lab.

Review: This vitamin D test is easy to carry out. The instructions are well-written and there are also illustrations to help you. The only unpleasant part was pricking my finger but the lancet is quick and it works well. My only issue with the test was interpreting the results. You have to compare the intensity of the line on the test with a picture of four lines. The lines are fairly similar and my test line didn’t quite match any of the lines so I’m not 100% sure about my results.
