Title: I have been pretty savvy regarding the dangers of internet security problems
Review: Having spent roughly 30 years bent over an office computer for a living in a major international bank, I have been pretty savvy regarding the dangers of internet security problems, and am ever alert to possible information leaks.At home, I have used several programs for security on my own PC and for the last few years used one which allows a "free" download and use, which may be renewed annually, but if opting for the "pay" version, that firm also provides updates to its' security to known virus's.I had believed in that program for 5 years, but then fell victim to a RANSOM WARE virus which my app did not prepare me for.(Heck, they didn't even know it existed!)It cost me a couple of hundred dollars to get rid of it and my computer was never he same since.Many programs were gone, permanently!Then I saw the ad on TV about PC Matic and even their commercial was educational, to the point I purchased the download thru Amazon, and have now been using it for several months.The program is proactive and does not just wait for a possible problem, it first scans your entire system and then alerts you to its' findings and blocks the programs it deems a threat.It is amazing how so many programs were on my Windows 10 computer which had unwanted tracking programs or automatic "update" bots which I did not want and on programs which I never used anyway.PC Matic reports all programs it blocks so you have the option to go back and reverse and allow programs which you DO want.They take their job very seriously and recognize we cannot all be IT types, so they use their skill sets to identify what they KNOW to be problems. After all, THEIR reputation is on the line when you pay them for protection.One of the things which makes PC Matic stand out is the fact it is not only internet security, but also a built in anti-virus device which blocks known "black" virus's, but also those of the "white" variety, the newest possible problems coming down the pike.NOTE:PC Matic is based right here in the U.S., so they are at my "ground zero" for where the problems I might be attacked from so PC Matic does not need to have those threats go overseas to be confirmed before an "update is sent back across the ocean to finally arrive at my computer.In the last 2 years, I have been notified my personal information has been hacked which had been held by my insurance companies, my bank, the Social Security Administration, and even the VA, (U.S.government)..I feel PC Matic is giving me better protection than any of those entities.

Title: Not a great product
Review: I hate to just come in out of the blue and call out this of the box. I notice particularly, you MUST be connected to the internet to open this products interface. Until you do, you will get a message to retry. Once you install it, good luck that it finds anything wrong with your computer, all the while dazzles the novice user with useless displays of graphics and TOO MUCH AWW and frivolous details to dazzle ya!! Not to mention it calls Internet Explorer 11 even in windows 10. It does not call an http and default browser so I understand that however, it claims to install an adblocker in your browser. I didn't get an ad blocker in Edge and sure an not using IE 11 any longer. WOW!Ultimately (A known infected machine) was a given a green light all good for malware from this product. Particularly, the infamous iTunes Debugger hijack that's slows machines to a crawl, and well known, PCMatic just misses it like its all good, among many other suspicious items PCMatic just ignored. I wanted to return it immediately following purchase to engage the 30 day money back guarantee. Guess what folks? Not via Amazon of course but direct from the maker. So, over to the site to open a ticket, "Refunds are issued through our automatic phone request system" SO called that number and it wants the phone number associated to my account, well, no phone number fields exist in your "account settings" on the website or in the product, you wont get a refund period. Easy way to make this all your fault consumer because you don't have the phone number field and its not open to edit or add once you do create an account.Then I am left only to submit/cancel with tech support to fix my phone number, well, I log in correctly but the form is never displayed just a empty pop up that says FORM in Edge Browser so let me try other browser right? WRONG. Eventually I was able to submit a ticket and get a form to display using a Non-Account Support. They sent a confusing automatic response about no phone support, seems like still not in touch with them. Only time will tell if they refund my product for this disappointing purchase. I never saw the ad blocker installed or available in IE 11 or in Edge so where that included product is, I can not find it.

Title: I have been using computers for over 40 year, business and Personal. This is the BEST!
Review: The ease of use, and the options for scanning and cleaning are impressive, and work very well to prevent all types of intrusions into my system. I work as a business consultant and deal national in the USA, as well as in Europe. This wide area of computer exposure is the reason it was suggested to me by a friend that has the same exposure in his business.I never fail to thank him for telling me to check PC Matic out. I currently use it on four computers and feel comfortable, and safely protected.I had one instance where my computer was "hacked" and it came from a web site that looked just like an official Microsoft web page. They told me to call an 800 number for instruction on how to fix this intrusion. When I called the number the voice sounded foreign and they said they could gain access to the threat if I let them have access to my system. My system showed a yellow banner warning that this was a threat and not to proceed! I cut off the phone call and contacted PC Matic Support. They said I did the right thing and advised that I run a full scan of my system and all of the 4 hard drives, and well as all of the other computers. Support said that if I didn't let them into my system they thought I was ok but suggested this for my piece of mind, and to insure that no malware was on my system. I followed there instruction on all of my equipment and feel that all was well. A friend of mine was not as luck I found out later as he let them into his system. After they had access they shut him out of the system until he paid a fee to "Clean" the program they found (planted by them I am sure) he would not admit to me what they charged him. I think that the fee for PC Matic covering 5 devices is very affordable and will absolutely be a customer in the future!Thank you PC Matic
