Product Description
ExpressVPN Aircove is the Wi-Fi router designed for easy, always-on protection from the world’s trusted leader in VPN. Pre-installed with ExpressVPN’s proprietary software, Aircove delivers an all-in-one solution of VPN privacy and online threat protection for where it matters most: your home.
If it’s connected, it’s protected.
Aircove encrypts your home network and any device that connects to it—even smart TVs, baby monitors, and other smart home appliances. Aircove further protects your privacy by letting you block third-party trackers, malicious sites, and ads. It can also set time limits for internet access, putting you in control of your household devices.
Setting up your Aircove only takes a few minutes, and controlling your connected devices is easy, thanks to a simple and intuitive dashboard on your phone or computer. Group your devices together however you want, and connect each group to a different VPN location—up to five locations at once. Or, use no VPN at all for a device group.
With fast and reliable dual-band Wi-Fi speeds of up to 1,200 Mbps and coverage of up to 1,600 sq. ft., you’ll have enough bandwidth to cover even the most device-heavy household. Meanwhile, Aircove’s high-performance quad-core CPU ensures that power users can browse, download, and stream in HD—all while enjoying VPN protection. And with ExpressVPN’s global network of next-gen 10 Gbps servers, you’ll get a reliable connection to virtually anywhere.
Get Aircove on Amazon today.
World-class, built-in VPN: Exclusively developed by ExpressVPN, the Aircove router brings all the benefits of the #1 trusted VPN service to your whole home network (when used with an active ExpressVPN subscription, sold separately). Aircove comes with a 30-day free trial for new ExpressVPN users, no credit card required.
Always-on protection, high-speed performance: Any device that connects to Aircove enjoys instant ExpressVPN protection 24/7, including smart home appliances that usually aren’t compatible with VPN software. And with dual-band Wi-Fi speeds of up to 1,200 Mbps (up to 600 Mbps for 2.4 GHz and up to 1,200 Mbps for 5 GHz) and 1,600 sq. ft. (150 sq. m) of whole-home coverage—everyone gets the performance they need.
Connect to multiple VPN locations at once: Sort your devices into groups, each with its own VPN location. Watch a game in another country, do your banking locally, and even set some devices to use no VPN at all.
Set parental controls, block ads, and protect your privacy from trackers and malicious sites. These features are always available to you, even when the VPN is not in use.
This version is for users in the UK and Europe only. If you’re in the U.S. or Canada, please purchase our North America version of Aircove. Both versions are functionally the same.

Title: Easy to Instal, works well with other routers, comes with plug for US, EU and UK
Review: I'm using it in Europe to change connection location and keep using my subscriptions from before moving country. My set up is:1) fibre2) router from service provider3) Aircove4) Mesh WiFiInstallation is simple:1) plug in Aircove - it comes with an electric socket for US, UK and EU2) connect to it via wifi or cable on your computer/phone/tablet3) visit its short URL to customise what you want, like: · the wifi name and password · the name of your devices connected to it · which connected devices will connect to VPN when you turn it on and which won't be affected by itInterfaceIf you're using a smartphone or tablet, there is no app to access the router, but if you add the web page to your home screen (share button), it will feel like an app.As your connected devices appear on the list, you might not recognise their names so I recommend connecting them one by one and renaming them as they appear, so that you know which is which between, say, the TV, the game console, your work laptop, the tablet or the phone. To move them from a category (say, "connect to VPN") to another (say, "never on VPN"), just press/click and hold on the device name on the list, and drag it left or right.Connection SpeedBecause connecting to a different location literally means your internet signal going to THAT location and back to your place, you WILL lose speed, but it's not bad, but even before we switched to 900 Mbps fibre, when we were on a 76 Mbps connection and the VPN cut it in half, we could still stream in 4K ðIf you're testing the speed, I recommend trying different locations, as some could be closer to you and maintain greater speed.WiFiIf you just use the WiFi from your Aircove, then it will recognise each device individually and for each you can select if you want it to connect to VPN or not. However, as I use Mesh WiFi, the Aircove only sees the Mesh WiFi connected to it, it does not see the devices connected to the Mesh WiFi. Therefore if you want to choose what to connect to VPN and what not to, with Mesh WFi this will happen at the WiFi level. So on the ExpressVPN menu, I have 1 device for the whole Mesh WiFi network, it's all or nothing in that case. What's Mesh WiFi, you may ask. If you struggle with WiFi signal in certain places in your home, I recommend it if you can afford it (great Christmas present!), you have one pod per location where you want to expand the signal, it broadcasts its own WiFi signal and each pod you buy will expand that same signal further, meaning that, contrary to WiFi extenders where if you're talking on WhatsApp it will cut and connect you to the extender, the Mesh Wifi is the same signal everywhere.Separate RouterI have a separate router connected to the Aircove, for the TV and the 2 game consoles because I couldn't figure out how else to connect 3 devices on the 1 network cable running from the Aircove in the house entrance to the TV unit in the living room, but the Aircove still recognises each device individually through that other router which is great. If you're "upgrading" with Aircove from an older router where you had custom-installed ExpressVPN, and want to use both on the same network, then I recommend looking for the original firmware of your older router and bringing it back to its original set up. Else the two ExpressVPN routers won't work well together, you'll never know which the "app" is accessing and it's a nightmare.

Title: Works Perfectly!
Review: I've always wanted one of these to go along with my VPN account. This helps me watch telly with ease. I can see all myself how's and near no interruption. It is a tad higher than I'd imagined, so I had to save up for this one but it's well worth every penny.

Title: Works Out Of The Box
Review: I ordered this from Amazon.com using my Amazon UK account for delivery to Tenerife, Canary Islands. Delivery took 1 week which is unbelievably good considering that the package passed through 3 US states, Germany, Barcelona, Madrid, Gran Canaria & then Tenerife. Delivery driver then called me 15 min prior to delivery 10/10 Exceptional. The router is a very average quality product which I would not normally purchase but with the pre installed & configured Express VPN it provides you with a excellent simple user interface with a top quality VPN. The only downside is I think Express VPN should add the advertised months free subscription onto existing customers Express VPN accounts. It is unfair for only new customers to benefit from this promotion. Overall I am very happy with the product which allows me to watch UK TV without buffering on my 2 Samsung TVs which unfortunately donât support VPN apps.

Title: Does exactly what itâs designed to doâ¦
Review: I purchased this due to the heavy online restrictions imposed at a place where I spend some of my days & nights. Instead of dealing with apps, device limits, etc etc., I grabbed one of these & couldnât be happier. The setup was super easy, and the router was up & running within minutes. Iâm guessing that many negative reviews on here are based on unrealistic expectations. For starters, yes your internet speed will go down. However, Iâve noticed internet speeds are much faster with this router compared to running apps on individual devices. Whatâs nice, though, is knowing that whatever I connect to this routerâs Wi-Fi is covered. This is a solid performer; I only wish I had bought sooner!

Title: EXCEPTIONALLY SLOW- Reduces 900Mbps to 110Mbps
Review: This router is EXCEPTIONALLY slow when using ExpressVPN, which is its main function. So, fail!If you have high speed internet faster than 100Mbps, avoid this router! My testing shows it severely reducing bandwidth. For this price, the router should do much better than this horrific throughput.Starting with a wired connection to this router from a PC, through to fiber ISP (940Mbpps), speed tests show:1) With No VPN - 900Mbps -- so the router can handle gigabit speed with VPN off, like pretty much any bargain bin router these days.2) With ExpressVPN App running on PC, VPN Enabled to nearest server - 300Mbps -- this is the "normal" VPN slowdown I guess.3) With Express VPN enabled on Router (turned off on PC) - 110MbpsI understand ExpressVPN may not be able to keep up with 900Mbps, but the router should not be slowing throughput to 1/3 the speed of using the same ExpressVPN connection on PC App. Truly pitiful.Troubleshooting with ExpresVPN has been no help, but after the two probably automated responses suggesting how to speed up Wifi (um.. I said was using a direct wired connection to the router, guys) they finally started offering some on-topic suggestions, but still no joy.My conclusion is they think nobody has internet service faster than 100Mbps, and they tricked me into buying an underpowered, poorly engineered solution, at a premium price.

Review: According to the Aircove specialist contacted, the maximum speed of this VPN modem is 100 Mb/sec. The modem changes the server frequently and thus speed can be as low as 20 Mb/sec. This modem certainly is not suitable for fibre optic internet connections with speeds up to 1000 Mb/sec.Also the range is very limited. It does not reach from the first floor to the ground floor, whereas there had been no problem with the original WIFI provided by the internet provider
Customers say
Customers like the ease of setup, functionality, and range of the networking router. They mention it's easy to configure the VPN, emits high-quality WiFi signals, and works seamlessly on their network. However, some customers differ on the internet speed.
