Title: Good for outdoor big open spaces.
Review: Well this set of walkie talkies our pretty good quality and function well when your outdoors in big open spaces. There is some static especially if you're indoors or in the city using them. And the range is very limited unless your away from the buildings and other large structures. The sound quality is decent enough again if your using them outdoors and away from any obstructions. Trying to use them at home around the house isn't the best place the range is very limited and no matter what Channel you're on your going to pick up other people's conversations a lot.They're nice they come with the rechargeable batteries and the charging cables and the little lanyards they're well made but strictly for Open spaces outdoors away from the city definitely where you can get really good range and not pick up a lot of other conversations from other people you don't even know. Great for going on hikes outdoors not very good for in the city or at home. If you're out camping and don't have too many obstructions they work pretty good for that I'd recommend them.

Title: Great set of Four Walkie Talkies for quick communication with little static.
Review: This is a nice set of four walkie talkie radio set. You get four very nice walkies with clear frequency when talking. The radio has a nice range of communication distance from one radio to the other and about 1 mile or more around your home and about 10 miles or more if you are in the mountains which can possibly go up to 25 miles total in some locations depending on surrounding interference. The radio has a roger beep that lets you turn it on or off. It is helpful to use when you are finished with a conversation and the roger beep will activate to let the other caller know it’s ok for them to answer you. I had a problem with one of the radios when it kept cutting my conversation off but then I realized that I charged the battery again when it ran down to 25 percent. So, it’s possible the battery will only charge 25 percent capacity because the battery remembers how much it was charged the last time I charged it. So, it’s probably best to let the battery run all the way down and then it will charge to a full 100 percent capacity. The radio uses a 4500mah battery which is considered good, but I would always be careful not to overcharge the battery, so I don’t damage my battery and always charge at room temperature. A 4500mah battery is possible to last somewhere between 2 to 3 hours a day for about a week or 5-6 hours a day for 3 to 4 days. The set has a neat charging cable that allows you to charge two radios at one time on the same cable cord. Some of the features of these radios are the CTCSS privacy code and the DCS privacy code. These cool features allow two radios to communicate with one to the other without interference from other radios. But it is not total privacy that is if the other radios are on the same channel and are in range, they still might hear the conversation but can’t interfere in the conversation because of the privacy codes used either by tone or codes. This is great if you don’t want any interruption from anyone else on the same channel. The CTCSS feature provides 36 tone privacy codes and the DCS- provides 104 digital privacy codes. The radios have a neat VOX voice activated transmit feature and with this neat feature it automatically transmits when you speak allowing you to be hands free, so you don’t have to hold the side button down to talk into the radio and lets you set the VOX at three sensitive levels for clearer frequencies. The radios let you set up to 10 call tone settings. It can alert you to incoming signals by sounding an audible call tone by vibrating silently or ringing the phone or both. It will automatically scan channels and stop if an incoming transmission is detected, and you can communicate on that channel by pressing the PTT button. The NOAA hazards radio channels feature that has great stations nearby for hazardous conditions and I even heard one about road conditions for travelers. So, I consider this a must have feature to conveniently and quickly check out hazardous conditions in your area and it even has a weather alert mode feature. There might be some features I am missing but this is most of it. I think the radios are well made with clear frequencies within range. The hazardous stations do have a lot of static, but I still can hear clearly about the situation at hand. You can select up to 22 stations to communicate on. I can see many benefits for this set especially for senior citizens who might need to communicate to others if they get suddenly sick. Also, it’s great for workers who are doing work in and out of your home and need to communicate with one another. It is also great for emergency phone calls and your husband is in the garage working and I can quickly buzz him and especially if he’s on his cell phone, it’s also great to be able to put one in everyone’s rooms for quick and fun conversation throughout the house and especially if the teens are playing a computer game or on their cell phones and you want their attention. Overall, this is a nice radio walkie talkie set of 4 of different colors and is strongly made, and I even like the volume button located at the top and I can conveniently turn the volume up or down without worrying about pressing keys. This also has a clip that is on the back of the radio that can be used for belt clip or pocket clip that can easily hang on a belt or some pockets on jeans etc.
