Review: These walkie-talkies are so handy to have! They are great for all ages. Wheather its going mishroom hunting, taking a hike or kids playing around the neighborhood these are perfect for communication! We have only used them for a couple hours at a time but we havent had any battery life issues. The kids have dropped them several time & they have proven pretty durable.

Review: Don't expect a 5 mile range out of these but up to a few hundred yards or so they work great. Pretty self explanatory to operate right out of the box, but you will need to consult the manual to dial in a few of the finer points. NOAA channel is a nice addition. My grandson loves them.

Title: Good set for kids.
Review: For the price these are a good set of radios. More for occasional sort range use. I acquired these for my sons to play with on our property. They love using them to play hid and seek. They work well for short range communication. The range will depend on the topography of your area. Our area is flat but wooded. We get about an 1/8 of a mile range and then it starts to break up.The walkie-talkies have a small flashlight, which is convenient for looking at a map or something close up.The kids love them. I like the price, I don't have to be too worried about them getting lost or damaged for that price.

Title: fun and effective
Review: These are great if you're out hunting, or you're somewhere that you don't have great reception. They're also fun for things like road trips with more than one vehicle, or even just having your kid carry one with the fun of being able to check in on them from a distance.

Title: Work great, but not long-range
Review: These walkie talkies are nice, compact, and charge relatively quickly. They have a clear sound and work great when there isn't a large distance between them. The only downfall was we got just around the corner of our block and they immediately started to cut out - we weren't even close to half a mile away, let alone 5 miles, so they are definitely not long-range. Pretty bummed about that, but we will find other uses for them! They are relatively inexpensive and very easy to use.

Review: I don't know enough about how these things work (hubs is the expert on that). But, we use radios to communicate with other rigs when we're out off roading, and this has multiple channels that you can coordinate with other riders. It has a LENGTHY list of features that aren't apparent if you just try to turn the thing on and try to use it, BUT, it also has a very detailed instruction manual that comes with that explains all the features. I like that you can set it to voice activation so you don't have to push a button to communicate with the other radio. Also has a belt clip, but I'm not sure how functional that would be.
