Title: Works as expected and a good bump up from a basic stud finder.
Review: Worked as I expected for a stud finder in this price range. I could consistently find the center of the stud to less than 1/4 inch. It can easily find an electrified AC wire set an inch behind dry wall and I've used it to find light balasts embedded in the wall that were not marked to install LED ceiling lights. There is no doubt this a big step up from a cheaper sub 50 dollar stud finder

Title: Full featured easy to read large lighted screen, love electrical and battery indicators.
Review: I seem to go through stud finders about every 5 years or so. They just seem to stop working well after some time. I usually buy the cheaper models, so I guess I should expect that. This Zircon is a step up from what I usually buy. There are a few things I like about this model (A200) and a few minor things I don't. The things I like are the accuracy when it finds a stud and the red light on center. The ability to show electrical is great. This is a new feature for me. One great feature is the battery indicator. I have found that stud finders are quite particular about having a fully charged strong battery in them. In the cheaper models you don’t know the battery is weakening and you start having problems or difficulties. Usually, a fresh strong battery is the solution. This one is no different. I installed a “new” battery but right away it showed it was low and the device has some operational issues. I found another new battery that was strong, and the device worked fine. Seeing the charge level of the battery is a great feature.The things I don't like are the size.... it is kind of large in my hand. Also, it is a little touchy with regard to finding studs, sometimes it reads falsely, you really need to go over a suspected stud a few times to make sure you have a stud. This is no different than others I have used.Also, this has a metal search, great for finding pipes and such.Overall, this is a good device for the money. I wish it was a little smaller and didn’t get false reading like it does from time to time but these are minor issues.Positives:• Nice large screen• Full featured, electrical, stud, metal scan• Battery monitor when low• Clear lighted indication of center of stud• Reasonable costNegatives:• Rather large size in hand• Can get false reading sometimes.Honestly this is a good device. I think it could be made a little better, perhaps a rechargeable built in lithium battery instead of these 9 volts and a smaller more ergonomic design but again, this is a solid device that I expect years of service from, and my dislikes are pretty minor.Recommended 5 stars.This is my honest review of this item; I hope this it was helpful in your buying decision process.

Title: Seems to misread a fair bit on various settings.
Review: So far it seems the AC detection is very accurate; something I cannot say for most other stud finders. That's worth it in its own right, as a small-time DIYer for home stuff.But the metal scanning is abysmal (tons of false positives), and the stud scanning is maybe only better than average in my experience. Occasional but consistent false positives (as in if it once read a false positive in a location, it will often repeat such in the same spot), but seemingly no missed studs.Edge and center detection seem fairly reliable.More than I wanted to spend on a stud-finder, and still not as reliable as I'd hope for. "good enough" but maybe a bit expensive for most.

Title: Awesome Stud Finder
Review: Purchased this to replace a 20 year old stud finder and was truly impressed by this one. I needed to add grab bars to a shower and heard this model works though ceramic tile. It does! The display makes it accurate and super easy to use. Has settings for wires and pipes in addition to studs. Well worth the money!

Title: Excellent Stud Finder
Review: Every homeowner needs to have a good quality stud finder for home improvement or simply hanging decorations on the wall. There are lots of inexpensive models out there and I have tried a few, but it is definately worth it to spend a few extra dollars and get one that works flawlessly every time. The fit, finish, and quality of this device is evident and it’s performance is equally top notch. I tested it on wood and metal studs as well as around electrical wiring and it was dead on accurate every time. 100% recommend this stud finder.

Title: Inconsistent performance
Review: I had a big round of remodeling coming up, so I decided to upgrade from my old studfinder (probably from Sears 20 years ago) and go with this one. It's about the same honestly. I'll give it points for the nice display; if it actually finds a stud it does a nice job showing the center, but my old one was fine too - just sweep from both directions and split the difference. This one performs about the same as my old one in terms of false positives and false negatives. I've had to resort to guessing, knocking, and drill-every-inch methods more times than I'd like in recent weeks having purchased this. If you don't have a studfinder, maybe this one is ok at its price point. If you do have a decent one, don't expect this to be an upgrade. I'm looking at the Bosch GMS 120 as a potential upgrade to this one.

Title: Completely Useless
Review: Honestly, this thing couldn't find a log behind a piece of paper. Fresh battery and I pass it over and over where I know a stud is behind conventional drywall, and this thing might, I repeat MIGHT, read the stud one time out of ten. You would have far better consistent results using the good old drill-bit-every-inch method.I really think the best use for this thing would be to throw it in your camp fire (remove battery first) and watch it melt and enjoy the pretty colors as the plastic components burn. At least you would get a few minutes of real enjoyment out of it.Do not waste your money. Avoid this tool (and by extension possibly all this company's items) at all costs. My 30 year old beat-up stud find at least could hit studs maybe 90% of the time.
