AN INSTANT #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER FROM PRESIDENT TRUMP'S NOMINEE FOR SECRETARY OF DEFENSE
Real men fought for our freedoms. It’s time we fought for theirs.
Pete Hegseth joined the Army to fight extremists. Then that same Army called him one. The military Pete joined twenty years ago was fiercely focused on lethality, competency, and color blindness. Today our brass are following the rest of our country off the cliff of cultural chaos and weakness.
Americans with common sense are fighting this on many fronts, but if we can’t save the meritocracy of our military, we’re definitely going to lose everywhere else.
The War on Warriors uncovers the deep roots of our dysfunction—a society that has forgotten the men who take risks, cut through red tape, and get their hands dirty. The only kind of men prepared to face the dangers that the Left pretends don’t exist. Unlike issues of education or taxes or crime, this problem doesn’t have a zip code solution. We can’t move away from it. We can’t avoid it. We have only one Pentagon. Either we take it back or surrender it altogether.
Combining his own war experiences, tales of outrage, and an incisive look at how the chain of command got so kinked, this book is the key to saving our warriors—and winning future wars. The War on Warriors must be won by the good guys, because when the shooting really starts, they’re the only ones who can save us.

Title: Great book, quick read.
Review: I have no doubt this book is why Trump offered him his position of Defense Secretary. This book was down to earth and the points he made were all common sense. If you truly think the country has been heading in the wrong direction over passed years this book is for you! He slipped a few of his own military stories into the book that were great.

Title: Wonderful, amazing book.
Review: I read Pete's book in one sitting. I am just an ordinary citizen, no claim to being special or entitled, but I have been watching the unhealthy changes taking place in our government and our society for a long time. I am sickened by the changes I have seen and can only hope and pray that the insanity will stop. I love God and my family. I don't want my children and grandchildren to be Lorded over by the extreme left or brainwashed by the so-called elite.I was raised by members of our Greatest Generation and I am so very thankful. Dad served in the Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theater of War. Mom served in Women's Army Corp in the European Theater of War. I am so proud of them. They raised all of us kids well.I urge everyone to read Pete's book!Thank you, Pete, for writing and narrating this book!

Title: Insightful, Well Written, Honest
Review: I hurriedly purchased this as soon as I heard Mr. Hegseth was nominated as Sec Def by President-Elect President Trump. I never saw him on TV but after scoping him out concluded he wasn't the worst possible choice. A conservative patriot, served ultimately as a field-grade officer with the CIB and two Bronze Stars, double Ivy League smart, self-made accomplished author and political pundit... It seems he's being tarnished for "hush money" now but after quickly reading his book I think he is the right man for the job, play on words intended, despite the tattoos and I hope he'll be confirmed. The book, as he even comments, is not a fun read but a necessary and necessarily frank treatise on the state of our besieged republic's beleaguered armed services.

Title: Interesting
Review: I found the book interesting and agreed with most of his points. I do recommend it. I must warn though that there are a lot of swear words throughout - but he does ask forgiveness in the acknowledgements in the back of the book (I found that humorous). I hope he is confirmed as Trump's Defense Secretary, he will make a good one.

Title: War Stories
Review: Pete writes a very interesting book. I believe he spends too much time in the beginning of the book to complain. It can be succinctly stated in a few paragraphs the woke, d e i, and CRT without all the extra writing that he did. However, when you get near the end, then the book gets very interesting and I would recommend somebody to purchase it.

Title: It is all about the Soldier
Review: Excellent discussion of the moral/morale problems of the Army today and by extension all the Armed Services. Does not propose to solve all the problems of Defense but gets at the most urgent: personnel and leadership. A bit too colloquial in many spotsâbut I remember saying much the same while in Viet Nam. Title: A Veteran to a Veteran
Review: This book is an important read if you are concerned about your children and their futures. We seemed to have lost the warrior ethos. Pete is a lock and load and run to the fire soldier. We need leaders like him to preserve our freedoms.

Review: This is a very important book for everyone who cares about the military and the brave men who serve. Pete Hegseth writes from personal experience and documents how the U.S. military has seriously deteriorated under woke policies that endanger the country. He provides many examples for the reader and argues that if this situation is not turned around, the country will be extremely vulnerable in an increasingly hostile world. By targeting its own members and accusing them of "far right" extremism, the military not only puts the country at risk in the present, but risks its future, as those who predominantly comprise the actual fighting strength of the military, young, white men, will choose not to join. The military is already experiencing a recruiting shortfall and woke ideology will only exacerbate this problem, which risks America's future. Weakness always invites aggression from adversaries. He concludes the book with an open letter to his five sons about making the choice to serve. Citizens need to be aware of what is happening to a once great military, so I highly recommend this book to all citizens concerned about America and the brave men who protect it.
