Title: Water taste great. But the tank started to leak
Review: Both my husband and I agreed that filtering our water would be cheaper and less wasteful than purchasing bottled water. So we got this product about a week ago. For the first couple of days all was great, worked fine, and we enjoyed the good tasting water without piling up mountains of plastic bottles. Then yesterday, out of the blue, the water tank started to leak on the bottom. I still cannot find why exactly, the tank wasn't moved or hit - but it lets out pretty much all the water in a few hours. I've read other reviews with the same problem, but I truly thought, they just unluckily purchased a faulty product. It seems, I can get in the line with the customers with leak problems myself. I'm very disappointed, and I'm very scared to purchase an other tank - we will try to salvage the filter using a dollar store jug, until the filter lasts, then we will buy a more trustworthy product.Ps. We didn't encounter with the fishy-rotten taste yet, but when we do, it will be merely the icing on a cake. Shame, we would've been a returning customer. This is an edit to my original 3-stars review and bumping up to a 5-stars product. After going through 3 filters I can tell now, that it is pretty much the best water-filter out there. We live in Florida, our water quality not the best - and has a very strong chlorine smell time by time, like pool-water. This filter gets us clean, no smell water - we drink only from our filter tank since we have it, and one filter serves us cleaned water for months - we don't monitor the actual numbers, we go with the taste - when it is time to swap to a new filter, the water start to taste slightly sour (not fishy!) - But, as I said, we filtered gallons of water before we need to change it. I'm here today to reorder the filters, as I just changed to our 3rd (and last) filter at hand. Also, the leak of our tank was caused by a damaged casket by the spigot - a new casket solved the leakage, as well. This is an awesome product, worth every penny! Thank you.

Title: Best tasting water. Even better than most bottled water
Review: Best tasting water bar none. You can see for yourself on YouTUbe a video by Project Farm about water filters. The best part about this is that the water taste so good it actually makes you want to drink water. Yes they are expensive compared to the cheap Britta and such but it is well worth it.

Title: No more leaks!
Review: I really like the ZeroWater filters and the water is great. Originally the first filter was really finicky to install and you had to do lots of tweaking before finally getting the right fit and no leaks. The replacement came and I was nervous I had to do that again, but not this time - with a single twist, it was perfect - no leaks and the water is flowing through nicely. Thank you!!! Given that it is now easy to install (my originally issue with this filter), I can definitely recommend it as the product is good - the install was just bad. The issue is now fixed. Yay!

Title: No longer a quality filter
Review: Zero water filters used to be excellent. Now they are garbage. I bought a three pack under the Culligan name in July. The first one never had the clean taste a new filter would give the water. The second one I just replaced after washing the pitcher out. First cup of water through a brand new filter is reading 022 on the provided TDS gage. It says to replace the filter when it reads 006 on the TDS gage. According to Zero Water this filter should be replaced. I don't recommend buying this product. The quality is gone.Update - After contacting Culligan/Zero Water, they were able to resolve my problems. I will consider purchasing more product in the future.

Title: Great
Review: Basing this review on the filters already within my ZeroWater. Excellent all around. Water taste noticeably better. Filter speed 6/10. Weight, is on the heavy side of filters, but what do I expect for the 5 level process. Fits perfectly into the the ZeroWater. Design is aesthetically pleasing. Easy to use. Still awesome. Go get one!

Title: Great product. Fits our Zero water filter perfect.
Review: Excellent product. Fits our Zero water filter perfect. I did make sure I purchased the correct size. Easy to use. They filter great. We've been using these for many years. Each filter lasts a long time; about 3 months. We have the company test kit, and do check the water regularly. Highly recommend. Price is average for these filters.

Title: We have hard water, but this filter makes it so much better
Review: I used the Zero Water tester to check how my water was right out of the tap. It's just below 300. I should replace my whole home water filtration system that broke down a few years ago. I am just hesitant to do so if it's not going to last like the last system. So instead I have been buying Brita and PUR filter pitchers over the last few years, but they always took too long and I felt they didn't clean the water quite as well as they should. Then I saw a comparison of a number of filter pitchers and saw that Zero Water beat them all. I had to try it.I bought the 10 cup pitcher, but now wish I would have purchased the 22 cup dispenser. The water has tasted perfect. I drink a lot more water now. I had been laid up due to a broken ankle, so I wasn't paying attention to testing my water out of the pitcher. After about 3 months I saw that the meter was now reading over 100. The water still tastes fine, but I changed it out anyway. One thing interesting that I have noticed. I usually make a kettle of tea every morning. I make it with the tea bags in the kettle (I know this is NOT how you're supposed to do it, but I like it stronger that way). But I noticed that when I make my tea this way using the water from the ZW pitcher, the tea comes out lighter. It still tastes good, but apparently the lack of solids in the water doesn't get stained. I think this is just another indicator that the filter does a great job. I also don't need to clean the kettle with vinegar as often.

Review: Removes chlorine added to municipal water, but all filters do that. This is the only disposable filter I've found that claims to substantially reduce heavy metals, pesticides & agricultural chemicals. Testing by third parties substantiates this claim. Tap water for the vast majority of people living in the Great Lakes basin is generally sourced from the Lakes. The lower lakes are becoming extremely polluted, with agricultural run-off (pesticides & fertilizers), hormones (from pharmaceuticals taken by people, to those fed to farm livestock in the US), chemical plant run-off (think Love Canal in NY, or the many steel & coking mills, refineries, chemical & petrochemical plants in Sarnia, Detroit, Zug Island in the Detroit River (look it up, but brace yourself), pulp & paper mills further upstream, etc.Municipal water treatment is good, but doesn't remove everything. "Everything" is impossible for any reasonable price, but this comes closest. The good:- best range of impurities removed from any disposable filter, independently verified;- zero taste- reasonably fast filter throughput (slows as the filter collects impurities, approaches end-of-life;The bad:- slower throughput than my previous Brita filter (which claims inferior purifying ability);- higher cost than most disposable filters. The ugly:- There isn't any.Cost is more than competing products, but not a great deal more; OTOH it does much more. And the cost premium over inferior competitors is less than you'd think: the claimed processing capacity is much greater per filter.Note that even this disposable filter is intended for use with pre-treated municipal water. It is not intended to purify untreated water, and won't. There are specialized filters that WILL do that, intended for travel or camping use. They aren't cheap & they're even slower in use.Treated water stored in the filter tank lacks chlorine - that's been removed - so if you leave it sitting out for days at a time, especially if left in sunlight or over a dishwasher, you'll find the water prone to growing algae or slime. That's a user problem, not the filter's fault. Clean tank scrupulously when you change filters, & maybe store the water tank in the fridge, certainly away from a heat source & out of direct sunlight. As with many products, the original now competes on Amazon with knock-offs: "Zero water-compatible" filters. Everything that sells well attracts cheaper competition from China. You decide whether you're more interested in cheapest price, or with knowing the filter is independently lab-tested & likely higher-quality. Consider: if Zero Water goes cheap, lets quality slide, and they're caught, their brand name is at risk. If an unnamed offshore contract manufacturer making an anonymously-labeled "compatible" filter lets quality slide, it's Zero Water's brand that is damaged, 'cause that's what you thought you bought.I submit that the problem is exacerbated if you source from a country notorious for inconsistent quality, horrific pollution problems, zero regulatory control & an apparently ineffectual judicial system. In the absence of independent testing comparing "compatible" filters with the brand name ones, you'll have to decide what to purchase in the absence of reliable measures of quality.Amazon gives you the choice to opt for either product. The one reviewed here is the branded original, tested against competitors every few years by Consumer Reports & similar testing labs. So far, CR gives it top rating.Bought on Amazon, the cost of the original is consistently better than its cost at retail, where it isn't always easy to find anyhow. So as usual, Amazon wins on both convenience & cost.
