Title: Impressive projected lifespan
Review: So full disclosure -- I have not yet been able to install this descaler, as it will require some drywall and light plumbing work which I just haven't had the time to get to. Regardless, I am still impressed with this product, based on what I can observe. The 2 major reasons I ordered this were: 1) It's very large capacity/lifespan rating of 6yrs./600,000 gallons, and 2) the fact that it is salt-free. I actually expect the stated capacity to last even longer for us, as we are just a 2-person household, and that means I won't have to worry about this aspect of our water filtration/treatment for a very long time. And I specifically wanted a way to prevent scale without the waste and possible negative health and environmental consequences of a salt system. So I'm thrilled to have this system that is salt-free. Next, the unit is much lighter than I thought it would be. It's very easy to handle and maneuver, and thus I think installation will not be too difficult. And all of the necessary fittings and attachments for installation are provided (at least for my existing setup). And lastly, it is important that this system states that there will be "no noticeable change in water pressure". Obviously, I haven't been able to verity this yet, but if it works as stated, then I think it will be the perfect solution for the descaling component of our whole-house water system. And given the predicted lifespan, it's a great value for the money. I'll update my review as soon as I am able to get it installed and in use.

Title: good but pricey
Review: This is a decent pitching. It sets up easily with staples and sand bags to help keep it in position. I like the variety of targets, the numbers, and the ball collector. It seems well built.

Title: Great way to help provide cleaner water to the whole house with ease, longevity and 7GPM flow rate.
Review: The Whole House Water Filter by WaterBoss, is a great option to provide an additional level of protection for your houseâs water system by using a massive amount of carbon to get the job done. Here are some of the things Iâve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying, including flaws.I. Quality â This filter looks and feels like it very well made with a thick protective fiberglass wrap and rubberized bottom for stability and durability to last the 6-year life span.II. Performance â Itâs worked great for my houses needs with a noticeable cleaner water coming out of the tap that has reduced odors. Once installed it doesnât take any effort or maintenance. The 6-year life span is great to have and a little questionable to me, but Iâm hoping theyâre accurate. It recommends and I installed a pre-filter to help filter more and extend the effectiveness of this filter.Overall, this is a solid choice that has left me happy to have it and enough its results daily. Iâll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it.You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. Hopefully it was helpful in your decision.

Title: A giant carbon filter
Review: I got this whole house water filter to pair with the whole house descaler (no salt). They're identical in size and look almost the same. The carbon filter works like the standard DuPont kind but this is one of those on steriods much, much beefier. The filter comes mostly as a standalone item plus the hose adapter to flush it out. You have to have tools and some knowhow to get it installed. If you've done other plumbing stuff DIY you're probably ok. My local hardware store rents the tools I didn't already have. All you have to do is set it up in a logical manner. Their diagrams are nice but won't work if you're in a tight space. I had to have two vertical rows of components due to a narrow location. I also used a 20" sediment filter (as recommended) to precede the WaterBoss filters. The union style installation makes this simple to swap out when it reaches end of life. I'd recommend adding shutoffs everywhere you can and making sure you have a bypass (also with shutoffs).Pricing is a little high compared to the generic carbon filters, but there will be a lot less work swapping filters over the same lifespan with this one.

Title: Lousy shipping packaging, no instructions, crappy parts
Review: The manufacturers box had a WaterBoss label slapped on it. Parts were loose in the box. There were NO instructions in the box. The parts supplied are of poor quality plastic. The manufacturer's box was thrown inside a huge box, not marked "this end up" and no packing inside. Amazon fail. I downloaded an instruction PDF from Aquasana, it is bare bones and non-specific. The supplied shut off valve is huge and cheap. It looks as though it's meant to be glued inline. I threw it in a drawer and ordered a Sharkbite shut off. In fact, I'll probably pitch the fittings supplied and go with better quality. Also, a warning label on the tank shows 100 psi max. Nothing on the ad shows this pressure rating. I haven't even started to flush it yet, and I'm already skeptical.
