Title: Easy Solution
Review: I needed to get hot water to my outdoor kitchen and this worked out great. The area I placed this is completely enclosed so it is not exposed to the weather. I had cold water running to the outdoor sink already so it was an easy process to tee the line and run hot water to the sink. I didn't think I would find and affordable and easy way to get hot water there but this water heater provided the solution. I have done a fair share of DIY plumbing projects so I didn't have any problem getting it connected and running. I did have to get a bigger electrical line and breaker installed but that was a pretty simple process also. I now have unlimited hot water in my outdoor kitchen and I'm a happy camper.

Title: Not for whole house hot water service.
Review: The tankless water heater can "convenient" provide hot water on demand at the source. These are widely used in East Asia buildings. But trade off is the inconvenient need for a dedicated 240VAC supply line and dedicated breaker. The unit is rated at 6.5KW. And the higher rating and 240V requirement is a good thing for wiring needs. Far easier than 120VAC units! Much lower current draw at 240V.The other positive is its nearly 2x the rating of most tankless at 3.8KW. This means either hotter water or higher flow rates from this unit. Desired if you plan to shower with this heater.Most of these are NOT UL certified. And for good reason. But they do work as they've done so all across Asia.For a cabin, new construction, an addition, or outdoor kitchen, this tankless heater may be your solution. As long as you can run power to it, then the installation is straight forward as your cold water line is nearby. I can't recommend it unless you're experienced in plumbing and an electrician.I'm an electrical engineer.

Title: Very lightweight water heater can be installed anywhere you have 240v power.
Review: These water heaters are popular in China, Brazil and many other countries. They install them directly in the shower. They do not have hot or cold mixer valves, you just adjust the water temp on the water heater in the shower. I took a photo of the instructions for this water heater and you can see that setup pictured. I am not brave enough to trust touching a 240 volt device while wet in the shower. The water temp and electrical efficiency depends on the inlet temp of the water source. We installed ours in the closet behind the shower and I use my on demand remote control hubby to come and adjust the temp up or down as needed. This water heater does a good job of keeping the water temp constant during my shower without any surges up or down. Our installation was easy because we replaced an old rheem tankless water heater so the pipes and electrical wires were already in place. I can't speak to the durability as we just installed the heater but so far so good.

Title: Hot Spot
Review: I was excited to get this water heater to increase the hot water upstairs. Hubby let me know that this was a more involved process than I realized. While we don't have the plumbing to use this yet, I am impressed with the small footprint. It will fit easily under our bathroom sink.

Title: Great temperature rise, 6.5kW power can be costly.
Review: Great electric on-demand hot water heater. My experience was that setting up a high-wattage water heater like this required me to install a 10ga wire to a 40A breaker, your experience may vary. On the water temperatures, at one gallon per minute, the rise was 56 degrees, if you require more gpm, the water will be less hot, and if just serving a hand sink that requires less gpm, it will be a bit hotter. Simply add this number to your input water temperature when it reaches the heater and you'll have your outlet's max hot water temperature.The installation did require a thicker wire to reach the heater, no reason to go small here and worry about overheating. At the lower water use rates for this heater, there's plenty of water already heading for most outlets, this was the case for my installation. The instructions are fairly understandable and the installation (aside from wiring) was pretty quick. in my opinion, if using the heater for extended periods, you may want to consider a gas heater as 6.5kW used constantly can get expensive.
