Title: Works great for our purposes. (Temp measurements in, review.)
Review: After our old 40 gallon water heater sprung a leak and flooded part of the garage, I started searching for a tankless replacement unit. Endless hot water sounds great, but I had to be sure we'd have enough hot water supply to run more than one outlet at a time. Shower, dishwasher, washing machine, sinks... the fam and I didn't want to be limited by hot water flow.I found12 tankless heater charts comparing groundwater temp to output temp, graphs showing flow levels at different outputs, infographics showing how many outputs can be open simultaneously, maps estimating groundwater temps by geography.Reviews had a lot of vague anecdotal comments: "Very happy with the endless hot water". But none of them were very factual, or objective. The effectiveness of tankless heaters depends GREATLY on the geographic are they're used in, and that wasn't usually mentioned."Loving the boundless supply of hot water for every outlet in the house!" says an imaginary review."Sounds dreamy!! Let's buy one!!" says imaginary family in Alaska, after reading the review....But imaginary reviewer didn't mention they're in Hawaii, where the annual average temp is 77° F. The Alaska family's annual average temp is 28° F.... which makes a huge difference in the water temp coming out of the ground! Those two families will NOT have the same experience, because tankless heater can only heat water so much.Very few reviews talked about important variables: geographic location, actual groundwater temp, temp at the outputs, unit's heat setting, temp drop when more than one output was open, etc.I took a lot of time reading about and researching this Titan device (and others) before deciding on this one. After installing it and eagerly testing it out, I took some temp measurements to help others make a more informed decision.INFO Location: Florida, US Heater setting: highest level Measuring device: instant read digital thermometerMEASUREMENT #1 Output: kitchen faucet Distance from heater: appx 15ft through concrete slab Water temp, full COLD: 77.2° Water temp, full HOT: 122.7° Delta / increase: 45.5°MEASUREMENT #2 Output: standard shower head, flow restrictor removed, single control knob Distance from heater: appx 20ft through concrete slab Water temp, full COLD: 77.2° Water temp, full HOT: 122.3° Delta / increase: 45.1°MEASUREMENT #3 (the big test: two showers simultaneously) Output: (2) standard shower heads, flow restrictor removed Distance from heater: 1.) appx 20ft through concrete slab, 2.) appx 30 ft through concrete slab Water temp, full COLD: 1.) 77.2°, 2.) 77.2° Water temp, full HOT: 1.) 105.8°, 2.) 105.3° Delta / increase: 1.) 28.6°, 2.) 28.1° Decrease from single output: 1.) 16.5° less, 2.) 17° less Found a decrease in water temp and pressure when supplying both shower heads. They were both still adequate temp and pressure for bathing, but it was noticeable. Fully opening the control knob didn't change the pressure, but made the water uncomfortably hot. Backing the knob down a little made the temp perfect, so the hot water supply was still more than adequate when running at full HOT.OPINIONS AND THOUGHTS:Even with our old water heater, if both showers were run at the same time, the hot water ran out much too soon. So we'd stopped doing it that way; if two of us needed to shower, we'd take showers one after the other, and the second person would almost always run out of hot water. With this new Titan tankless heater, a 45° increase in our ground water temp at full heater setting is really great! With any normal use besides both showers running, the performance is the same as the old heater. Now we can run both showers at the same time, with the knob just a little more than 2/3 open, as long as we need or want. We don't often need to, but it's great knowing that it's not a problem any more!A 45° increase is great. Outdoor temps are starting to drop a little, so the ground water isn't quite as high as usual. When temps drop to their absolute coldest for a very brief time short time, our water temps won't be quite as good. Whether we deal with slightly less hot showers, add a second parallel heater, or upgrade to a more powerful unit, I'll cross that bridge when we reach it. Today, I say it's all good! Very satisfied with the purchase and performance of this Titan water heater.

Title: On My Second Unit in Five Years
Review: Money Saver Instant Hot Water ... Only runs when the hot water spigot is turned on ... Depending how far your water lines are from the Heater, it's fast ... Kicks in soon as water flows .... (In winter, takes water a bit longer than INSTANT to reach the far shower, on the opposite end of the house, but still works fine, once it becomes Hot, stays Hot until I turn shower off)This is my second unit ... They last about 5 years, then slowly stop heating, usually due to sludge in your tap water lines .... I have City water, and there's a black tarry sludge that forms because of added chemicals that coagulate .... Won't hurt you to drink it, but accumulated, it builds up in appliances, the Water Heater being one of those, can't be helped in my case .... A WHOLE HOUSE Filter would eliminate more of itDimensions: 9.5 inches wide x 12 inches tall x 4 inches deep, protrudes from wall ... Need 220 volt outlet (USUALLY old tank water heaters had it already installed, so plug outlet in same place)For the money I save with having Hot Water in a huge tank-type-canister, I can buy a few of the Instant Hot Water Titans, and still come out ahead .... Better for the environment, saves powerIf you repurchase the same exact model again, simply have to turn off water supply to the house .... Unscrew the water intake/output, and put the new unit on, rescrew, turn water back on .... Takes about 20 minutes total .... Super Easy to do it yourself, no Handyman expense necessary for a replacement unit .... Recommended Titan unit, very efficient.

Title: Reliable
Review: I've had this heater for over 5 years now. I will 100% buy it again when this one fails (if ever) I installed it myself, and it has done everything as it should and saved me money in the process (my electric bill went down about 30 bucks a month) if you're debating on going tankless you can't go wrong with this. If I have one honest con is this heater heats up water more the slower it goes in soo it makes it kind of hard to adjust tempature in the shower but it is doable you just have to be very easy with your adjustments or the heater well turn off completely for not pulling enough water through, only reason for 4/5 stars on the tempature control, but not a deal breaker by any means. Get this heater!

Title: Bought for a Backup
Review: I bought the first tankless water heater in 2009. The tankless water heater is installed in a wall cavity, with a tight fit. Any change in dimensions for a replacement would make installation of a new tankless water heater difficult. A few years ago, I bought a backup to avoid that trouble. The old tank failed in 2024, so the old one lasted around 15 years. That is not too bad for a water heater. I pulled out my backup tankless water heater and swapped it out. It fit perfectly. I bought this one for another backup. The dimensions are the same as the old ones, so my new backup will fit well whenever it becomes needed.

Customers say

Customers like the functionality, ease of installation, and value for money of the water heater. They mention it works great, is simple to understand, and is worth the price. Customers are also satisfied with the space-saving design. However, some customers have mixed opinions on the water temperature and durability.
