Title: The only hose worth buying
Review: TL;DR: This is a buy-it-for-life hose. But it's heavy. If that's a problem, I'd recommend getting a different one. If heavy/robust is fine, your search is over.We just got this 25' hose for our front yard. It handles the duck pen and is long enough to hose off windshields in a frost and supply our pressure washer for the rest. I chose it because Continental is an actual rubber manufacturer with experience making rubber that tolerates all seasons (there's a pun in there if you squint). It's heavy, and it sticks to concrete like a tire. But here's the thing.. It doesn't leak, and it doesn't kink up unreasonably -- or at all if you store it out of the weather. We don't store ours. It's going to sit right where you see it until we move.I'd recommend getting a swivel, because while it's not rigid, it is robust. There's no flow restriction and the fittings on it aren't like the competition's ridiculous, oversized nonsense you can (and I have) crush with your work boots *on accident* while walking through the garden section of a store. They're tough, boot tested, and as big as they need to be. No bigger. This hose isn't a waste of money. If you're able-bodied, it's the only one worth buying. If you're impaired, worried about crushing delicate plants, or work with it extensively, multiple times a day, get a lightweight cloth hose. The cloth hose will leak after a few years (or less), particularly if it freezes with any water in it. But there's no shame in getting something to suit your needs. This one will hang in there 'til you run it over with a lawn mower. Then you just cut out the damaged section, use a brass hose barb and some stainless hose clamps, and you're golden. You can finally stop buying gimmick garden hoses.Fair winds and following seas to ya!

Title: Quality Product
Review: This is a heavy duty rubber hose that's of much higher quality than most. It's tough enough for use with hot water if you need to move some of that. It's not difficult to coil, but it's not going to coil itself, so there's a little work involved. This is a real rubber hose, made by a real, premium rubber goods company. One trade-off with a hose like this is weight. It's a heavier hose, so be prepared for that. If weight is your primary selection criterion check out the cheapie, plastic-like hoses, maybe one of the "Slinky" variety that springs back into a coil shape when you let go of it. If it's robustness that you're after then check out this hose.

Title: A garden hose for the desert
Review: The summers are extreme here. This year, there have been 30 days of 110 degrees. This hose is attached to my outdoor faucet, and it's in full sun all day. These are brutal conditions. I bought another brand of hose that was sold as heavy-duty, and it fell apart after 6 months and it started to leak from the middle and the layers separated. The metal ends fell off. It was destroyed. So I bought the Continental Premium Garen Heavy Duty Hot Water Hose in the middle of the summer, around 3 months ago. It seems heavy and well-made. It probably will last longer. I'm hoping for at least 2 years. Ignore any claim that a hose will not kink because they all do to some degree but the heavy ones like this are better. They're heavier to drag around but that's the trade-off. The Continental Hot Water is the most heavy-duty hose that I've found so far. If it dies early I'll update the review.

Title: Very soft and flexible - but that might not be what you want
Review: In a nutshell, I recently donated a Sears Craftsman hose I inherited from my parents (so about 40 years old) and I'm rethinking my decision. It was stellar - bulletproof and reliable. Because Continental is renowned for making great rubber products I bought the 100 ft "heavy duty" hose, thinking it would be as sturdy as the Craftsman.Unfortunately, it is so soft, pliable, and twists more than a GoGo dancer on a Saturday night that I regret my decision to give away my 40-year-old hose that felt substantial. Only time will tell if things settle down but I don't think so. Even when the hose is filled with water and "charged" with pressure, it twists. Sure, I know I have to work the hose to untangle it but this is where the regret creeps in. I didn't have to with the old hose, because I think it was stiffer and had thicker diameter walls. That said, I think the new hose will outlast me so that is a plus and if it lives up to the brand name, then it's all good. I'll just have to enjoy the workout I get untwisting the hose.If you made it this far, yes, I laid the hose out straight to "relax" it but because it's so pliable, it wasn't necessary. "Out of the box" it is straight as an arrow up to the point you walk it out from the coil.

Title: Truly heavy duty
Review: This is the first heavy duty hose I have bought that is truly heavy duty. No kinks at all so far.It is heavier to move around, but it's worth the effort!

Title: High Quality hose for our swimming pool area
Review: I needed a high quality 100ft hose for my swimming pool deck, something that can take the heat in the summer, and the cold in the winter. Although this cost more than previous hoses I've used, I expect it to last much longer, remain more flexible and have fewer problems. So far it's working great!

Title: Rubber Hose
Review: I am not too fond of the plastic hoses. I had another just like this one, and I needed more length, so I bought another just like it. I don't know why I originally bought the version for hot water. I use it as a common lawn/garden hose. Anyway, it works just fine. The flow is good. It sometimes kinks, but it only takes turning the end of the hose to make the kink go away. There is no lasting evidence of the kink having happened.
