Title: Vary practical for disasters
Review: We recently went through hurricane Helene and the water system was out. This is awesome as I was able to use creek water and get pure water from it. I ran 10-15 gallons a day thru it. Need to keep track and back flush after each use but itâs easy to do.

Title: Good For What It Is
Review: This is a simple filtering system that meets my needs. I have good well water, but it is hard, with a lot of minerals that stop up the coffee maker and humidifiers. It appears that this simple device will keep us from having to tote five gallon containers of water from the store AND save us some money. I don't know if I would drink pond water from it, I guess it depends on how dire the situation is! WHO rates it acceptable to remove bacteria and viruses, but at the low end of the scale for protection for this type of filter. It's great for filtering our well water for the appliances and for drinking and pets though! The buckets aren't heavy duty, but they are great for inside.

Title: Great-tasting water, but missing filter cap
Review: This is a great way to bulk filter water for longer-term emergencies where potable culinary water is unavailable or contaminated. The water tastes good and, after my initial test using local pond water, I'm not ill so I know it does filter out microbes as it says it does.My only complaint is that the filter's blue end doesn't have a cap to plug it when drawing water from a pond, lake, stream, etc. When you carry the gray bucket back to the place where your white bucket is sitting (i.e. your kitchen), water is trickling out the bottom of the filter. You can plug it with your finger, but that's not sanitary and it's awkward and inconvenient. If they add a basic plug that can be attached to the filter with a ring or something, then I'll give it five stars as the overall rating.

Title: Great
Review: We have to haul in drinking water where I live and sometimes the storage containers get a bit yucky. This has helped when that gets to be a problem. Also, it gets the chlorine taste out of the city water. Back flushing the filter is super easy and that will work for years to come! I did put a stainless steel spigot on it instead of the plastic one it comes with. The plastic seems kind of flimsy and I didn't want to see if it would break soon so I just replaced it right away. All in all, I think it's a great system and for the price it is well worth it! Not as "pretty" as the real pricey filter systems but no replacing filters etc as you go. Highly recommend.

Title: This was easy to put together
Review: I got this for emergency preparedness. I decided to put it together and try it out. I would say it works like a Berkey, and uses the same type of filter that a Berkey uses. Water tastes good!
