Title: Great
Review: This Lifestraw pitcher is a replacement for a Clearly Filtered pitcher I had for years. The handle broke off, it was difficult to clean, and it was very expensive, so the search began for another option. I’ve been using this Lifestraw product for a few weeks now, and I’m very happy so far. The company has a great reputation for filtering the water and actually making it safer, while also contributing to the those in need. I was able to fit the 10 cup pitcher in my refrigerator door after removing an upper shelf, which I think helps keep the pitcher cleaner than leaving it out on the counter. Also, the filling mechanism is superior to most competitors, as you don’t have to take the lid off to fill and it doesn’t leak if you pour before filtering is complete! The pitcher can become quite heavy on the wrist when filled, but I don’t see the handle breaking easily because it is located higher than others I’ve used. I did purchase the silicone base/sleeve for protection because I have children who might put it down on a hard surface, and the sleeve fit like a glove. Can I also add that the Lifestraw pitcher is actually attractive? It isn’t an eyesore on the dinner table if you entertain. That wasn’t something I required, but it is added bonus. At this time, I would definitely recommend this pitcher filter!

Title: They honor their warranty!
Review: I bought this pitcher in September 2023 and have really liked it! The water tastes great to me and I like the ethos of the Lifestraw brand. It filters the water a little slower than other filters I've used in the past but that doesn't really bother me much as a single person household. I have just made a habit of always filling it again after I have used it for a glass of water or to make tea.Like many others in these reviews it started leaking from the base seam about a month ago April-ish 2024. I contacted Lifestraw on their normal website and they replaced it for me. They sent me a whole new pitcher and filter housing which was really nice. I was only expecting the outer pitcher part. For those who were not aware they have a 3 year warranty! Just make sure you purchase this from Amazon LLC and not a third party seller. I do hope they work on this design flaw with the plastic models. The glass version was my ideal pitcher as I try to not use plastic much in my kitchen but I can be clumsy and was afraid I would break that one so I went with the plastic version.

Title: An excellent water pitcher
Review: I am very satisfied with this water filter and pitcher. I expected it to filter slowly, and I wouldn't want a fast filter. The smaller the particle that is being filtered the slower the drip.My backbacking filter is much slower, but it will filter brackish water, so with this filter being able to filter bacteria, micro plastics, etc. I am satisfied with the drip speed.I will purchase another if needed and would recommend it anyone.Added later. Still very pleased with this product. I read so many people had stress fractures at the bottom of the pitcher that I purchased the sleeve bottom on amazon that fits this pitcher.I can clearly see that the bottom would crack over time as a person sets the pitcher down. So I'm trying the sleeve and I set it on a silcone trivet. I Will update again later on the fix.I would still purchase this again, but I think I would spend the extra money and get the glass pitcher.

Title: Love the taste of the filtered water but I can’t believe the pitcher is already cracked
Review: 1/ I started seeing cracks at the base of the pitcher within the first week of using the filter!! I just can’t believe that happened! I would have thought a more durable material would be used for its manufacture. I haven’t seen Brita pitchers cracking like this even after years of use.2/ The water takes real long to get filtered through the Lifestraw filters.3/ The pro though is that the water does taste different, in a good way. The water tastes quite delicious after filtering.4/ Now I’m debating whether to buy replacement filters since the pitcher is already cracked and leaking.

Title: Better than the other brands.
Review: I was using the one at Costco forever. Decided to try this one. It looks better on the counter and holds a lot of water. The water tastes fine—I’m not that picky—. I bought it because supposedly it removes bacteria unlike the other brands. I can’t test it so I don’t know. But I like the look and ease of using it. The only problem is, I don’t know when to change the filter, as theres no green light turning red. And at my age, I could forget about it. Guess I’ll google it to find out. Lol. But, I like the design; it’s strong, sturdy and looks nicer than the fat white containers.

Title: Great Customer Service
Review: The initial pitcher I ordered leaked. It started doing so about a month into my owning it. I treated it well, there was no reason for the leak. It was along the seams, so I can only guess I got a lemon. It having been around a month, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get my money back. I reached out to LifeStraw directly. They requested photos of the faulty product. Once provided, they not only gave me a new, replacement pitcher, but a silicone base as well at no extra charge. I wanted to use the new pitcher for at least a month before writing a review to be sure the same thing didn't happen again. The new pitcher works perfectly and as I had hoped the first would. It is very easy to put together, filters quickly, the water tastes great and the pitcher is easy to clean. I use it all the time and am very thankful to LifeStraw for being so prompt in their response and quick in providing a replacement. Sometimes you get lemons, but they'll take care of you and make sure you get what you pay for.

Review: I like this water filter because there are very few filters on the market that can filter out micro plastics... I would definitely recommend.

Review: I have the 7 cup glass jug and love it so I ordered the 10 cup glass jug as I attempt to eliminate micro plastics in my water. Much to my surprise even though the description says the jug is glass….it was plastic. The supplier was ALLIZGIT and when I had to return due to their wrong description….they told me I had to pay the return postage. I live in Canada…they are in the USA…cost for postage is $32 CDN. I complained to Amazon and they gave great service by reimbursing my postage! Do not deal with ALLIZGIT!

Review: I bought this product specifically because I wanted a glass water filter, as I didn't want microplastics leeching into the water. This one is NOT glass! I bought it by recommendation of a website promoting different types of GLASS water filters. It appears that the brand does have glass versions, but this one is not it. Make sure you carefully review the product specifications if you are looking for the glass version. Also, there is a "WARNING: Cancer and reproductive harm" warning on the box. It does not specify what material specifically is responsible for this warning. This makes me extremely hesitant to use the product as I wanted a water filter in part to avoid those harms!! Will be sending back. It also arrived very late. After waiting all this time and paying so much money I was not impressed.

Review: I've had this item for 2 days. I didn't notice any cracks but after filling and following the instructions for the filters, I had it filled and sitting on the counter where it leaked all over the place including behind my brand new kitchen cabinets. This was supposed to go in the coffee/tea area that is to be installed this week and I had it sitting on the part of the kitchen counters that were recently installed and the crack spilled all the water out. The crack is below the handle where it appears to have a seam. Faulty, horrible product that has now caused damage to my brand new kitchen!

Review: GoodOne of the few filters which can filter out Cryptosporidium and other nasty things.Water tastes better.BadHard to fit filterI found the bottom of the centre piece hard to take off. When I managed to get it off, it went flying across the kitchen and landed on the floor.Slower than my old filterAfter initially setting it up, no water filtered through. Eventually there was a drip being filtered. This has speeded up a bit but I still have to plan ahead and leave it for a while. You are left with a small bit of unfiltered water in the top partThere is a always a bit of water which does not pass through the membrane and filter. So when you go to pour the filtered water, you end up pouring the unfiltered bit into a glass as well.I have tried to put the glass at a 45o angle to just get the filtered water in the glass but because of the design the unfiltered water gets poured down as well. If you were using water where it was crucial that all of it was filtered then this could be an issue. I think that you would either have to put something down to mop up the unfiltered water. Alternatively if you purchased their separate Lifestraw, perhaps you could suck up the little bit of unfiltered water which it leaves behind through the straw so that this was filtered.

Customers say

Customers like the taste and style of the water purification unit. They mention it tastes good and the chlorine flavor is gone. However, some customers have reported that the quality is poor and the product leaks. Opinions are mixed on the filter speed, functionality, ease of use, and size.
