Title: Sturdy little gadget!!
Review: In the summertime, my family goes through a lot of fruit, particularly watermelon and cantaloupe. We typically will eat 1 watermelon and 2 cantaloupe a week. I was finding myself spending anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes cutting everything up, putting in containers, and cleaning up the mess on the counter (and floor). I saw this gadget on FB, and thought id give it a try. I was not disappointed!! The item itself does seem to be pretty sturdy/well made. It has the weight of about a regular kitchen knife in your hand. It is easy to hold onto, and glides through the fruit pretty easy. I was skeptical from the pictures on the internet, it seemed pretty flimsy. but it held its form with ease, the metal sides cut through the melon without any problems, and the 'round wire' up front was bigger than i expected. I was expecting an actual piece of wire, but this was more like a small rod. All in all, i was able to cut up my watermelon in about 5 minutes, and that's including cleanup! Now i will say that it does take a bit getting used to, but the learning curve isn't too bad. The first line i cut was, lets just say, it was less than straight!! But after a few tries, no problems. Also, personally, i cut the first half of the melon into cubes like they show in the video, but i struggled with this and it seemed to make a big mess. When i tried to use the tongs to pick the cube out of the melon, the cube crumbled and got 'stuck' in the melon. Maybe you'll have better luck with that part. On the second half of the melon, i simply cut in one direction, and pulled everything out without any problems. Then i just cut to fit into my containers. All in all, i think this is well worth the 10 bucks and it seems like it will last quite some time.

Title: Cuts well
Review: Cuts nice squares but not so useful in gripping the pieces picking them up. It's a cute little gadget,a big old kitchen knife works just as good if you don't care about fancy little squares

Title: Hard to get depth of cut uniform.
Review: I cut too big of pieces of watermelon. It was easy to use and did a good job giving squares of watermelon.

Title: Makes scooping mellon a breeze
Review: Surprisingly easy to use and efficient. We're able to scoop out a watermelon quicky right down to the reine. Much easier than a melon baller. Since buying this, we've had several watermelons and even made watermelon juice in the blender. Refreshing and healthy. With autumn around the corner, I'm thinking this would be a quicker and less messy way of cleaning out a pumpkin into a Jack O'Lantern.

Title: Do not buy ...Hazard!!!
Review: There is small metal bar at end of cutter which cuts the watermelon as you insert it. After cutting watermelon, the small metal piece was missing. This could be choking hazard if someone swallowed it. I had to search through pieces of watermelon to find it. Very dangerous if I hadnât noticed it missing on the cutter. It is not well soldered in place.

Title: Love this little sucker! Truly a transformation of slicing fruits with mess.
Review: I will upload a video on how to use later but I have to tell you how happy I am with my summer purchase!I recently purchased a watermelon cube cutter, and it has completely transformed the way I enjoy this refreshing fruit. This tool is a game-changer for anyone who loves watermelon but dislikes the mess and hassle of slicing it.Using the watermelon cube cutter is incredibly easy. It quickly and efficiently cuts the fruit into neat, bite-sized cubes, making it perfect for snacking, fruit salads, or garnishes for beverages. The uniformity of the cubes adds a touch of elegance to your presentation. What I appreciate most about this gadget is its versatility. It's not limited to watermelon; it can be used for other fruits like cantaloupe or honeydew, saving time and effort in the kitchen.Cleaning the cutter is a breeze, and its compact design makes it easy to store in my kitchen drawer. Overall, the watermelon cube cutter has become an essential tool in my kitchen. It simplifies the process of preparing and enjoying watermelon, making it a must-have for fruit lovers.

Review: This is one of those things that you really need to get as a gift as it is a tenner and letâs face it, youâll use it about three times a year, if that. However, it does work a treat. Seamlessly cuts through the melon and allows you to carve it up into bite size chunks. Also acts as a little tweezer to pick the segments up. Really useful for cutting water melon. Might be good to see what else It can cut!

Review: This is never going to be a crucial must have kitchen tool. It might be a perfect solution for an exhausted Christmas (sorry) shopper looking for a whimsical Secret Santa present. I have something similar which I would never have actively bought, but was offered for review, for peaches. Sometimes I forget i have it, as I am mid the slicing of peaches deed, with trusty kitchen knife. I suspect this will be similar. Sure it sliced the half melon within its shell, and held the juice, so none was wasted. But if what you want, for your melon is presentation, the cubes will look tattier than balls. The reverse end of the slicer, the silicone grabber, is a mite inflexible and may be a bit difficult for anyone with a grip problem. In the end, this is probably a design solution for something which was hardly problem. Except for the melon-at-home obsessed and addicted. Chefs unlikely to abandon their ballers

Review: This appealed to me as I do like melon in the summer and find it gets a little messy when cutting and storing it.The idea of also not having melon skin to chuck at the end either appealed too.I bought a large as I could find water melon for the purposes of this review but it was not as big as some I've seen with the dark green skins. But still far larger than a honeydew or similar. So the use of this should be as good as can be. But I found the utensil was tricky to use and further more as it is quite a fat slice, unless your melon is actually a multiple of those slice thicknesses you waste some, and as the edge of the utensil is straight and melons are curved, the utensil cannot cope with those either. I think it was an ok idea gone wrong. I'm not going to suggest what I think they should have created, as I'm just reviewing what's here, but it is very different to what is here! There was loads of wasted melon, loads of juice came out on the plate in the process, and the tong end is too short to pick the slices out easily.Save your time and stick to old fashioned non wasteful slicing of melon. They look better on the plate too.

Review: I took ages to review this as I don't eat a lot of melons. So eventually got the melon to use the water melon slicer and wish I hadn't bothered, it was difficult to use it didn't slice the melon like the pictures showed. In short a totally useless piece of kit.

Review: I would put this water melon slicer in the category of things you never knew you needed. Trouble us it doesn't work as well as just using a sharp knife. It leaves an awful lot of flesh behind so is a bit wasteful.
