Title: Eggfecto works but be aware of the heat!
Review: Efffecto works very well in the microwave - the eggs are really cooked to the egg hardness indicated. However, the outside of the eggfecto is very hot after taking it out of the microwave, even after standing for a few minutes. To open one must touch the top and unscrew it - unfortunately there are no small levers or anything to hold the top on the side which would making it easier to unscrew the hot top - so be careful and watch your fingers

Title: Improvised Egg-splosive Device
Review: The product was easy to use, following the simple instructions. I poured exactly 1.5 cups of water into the base, placed four eggs in the tray, and screwed the top on. I set the microwave for 9 minutes, hoping to enjoy some nice hard boiled eggs. 7 minutes in we were startled by an explosion from the kitchen. I ran in to discover the IED and shell shrapnel strewn across our kitchen floor. The product was no longer egg shaped so I retired it to the dustbin. The clean up was more difficult than I would have liked, as the egg matter became deeply embedded into the interior of the microwave. Pro tip: unwind a paper clip to extract egg from the interior corners. On a positive note, the eggs smell really good. The review prompts ask if the product was easy to remove. Yes, it practically does the work of removal for you. The cover made it almost all the way to the sink after blowing open the microwave door. I don’t think I will buy the product again, but I’m in the market for a new microwave oven.

Title: Perfect hard boiled eggs in minutes!
Review: I was a little leery of microwaving eggs but for the price I thought why not? As you can see from the picture, no uneven cooking and the eggs were perfect throughout! And peeling was a breeze. Cleaning was simple with quick wipe with a dishrag and soapy water.

Title: Saves cooking time, but time which you spend washing the thing by hand
Review: Good time-saving idea but the web-vert clearly states dishwasher safe.The instructions that come with it state even more clearly that it is NOT dishwasher safe. It is easy to clean but MUST be hand washed.What's the point in buying something to save time boiling eggs so that you spend the saved time, or more, hand washing the thing?On an induction cooker, I can boil eggs quicker than using the microwave AND the pot can go in he dishwasher. Its another gadget to buy and store for no advantage.

Review: I use hot pads to take it out of the microwave. I then quickly put it in the sink and run cold water over it, then remove the cap, run more cold water over the eggs to stop them from cooking more. This also creates eggs after shocking them with cold water, making hard boiled eggs a snap to peal. You get hard boiled eggs in 8 minutes in the microwave. For medium or soft, just opt for less time in the microwave as per the instructions which accompany the unit. By the way, the unit actually steams your eggs as they rest inside the unit over a cup or so of water. With a small pressure relief valve on top of the unit, I've had no explosions in the microwave from excess pressure. This thing is very well designed and a snap to clean.
