Review: Maybe I am sheltered or something but I never knew this type of kitchen gadget existed. I love it! It makes the whole process of boiling eggs so much easier! The material has held up just fine. The penguins are a cute touch. The only way it could be better would be to be larger and hold more eggs.

Title: Inarguably Adorbs--but you have to boil the eggs longer because of the plastic holder.
Review: I mean, who doesn't like cheeky little penguins? It's a cute product, but I was making Jacques Pépin's Les Oeufs Jeannette (Eggs Jeannette) with this in a copper pot. The three eggs I had in the pot that were not in the penguin holder cooked perfectly (which is gooey egg in the middle, not entirely hard-boiled). The ones in the penguin holder were near raw, meaning I had to boil the water again and leave them in for several more minutes to remedy the situation.Pros: (besides the inarguable cuteness), is the ability to pull it right out of the water easily and put it into an ice bath to stop the cooking process.Cons: You need to keep them in boiling in the water several minutes more than "normal" to get the same results.Super-fun product, though.

Title: Simplifies making hard-boiled eggs
Review: I bought the bears egg holder. No more cracked eggs from them bumping around! Place the eggs in the holder, cook, lift them out to empty the hot water, return to pot and cover with cold water and ice cubes. The handle never gets hot! Super easy and no cracked eggs!

Review: This was such a silly splurge, but damn I love it!!! I use it with jumbo eggs and it’s a little tight, but I don’t get any cracking either. For someone like me that uses it every single week, go for it!!

Review: Die super süßen Pinguine sind wirklich eine große Hilfe beim Eier kochen. Diese Pinguine kommen bei uns immer an Ostern zum Einsatz. Jetzt schon zum zweiten Mal. Meine kleine Enkelin ist ganz vernarrt in die putzigen Helfer. Und ja wirklich, beim letzten Mal Eier kochen an Ostern hat dieser Halter alle Eier vor dem platzen bewahrt. Einen Nachteil hat der Halter. Die heißen Eier lassen sich nur schwer auslösen ohne sich die Finger zu verbrennen. Ich nehme einen Eßlöffel zur Hilfe und dann sind die Finger geschont. Tolle Sache.
