Title: We LOVED it!
Review: My boyfriend and I had SO much fun solving this case! We spent like 4 hours going through everything, taking notes, and discussing the objectives. I love that there are multiple motives to consider, as well as fun little details woven within. You have to determine what is a red herring and what is actually useful information. It felt impressively real — a coroner’s report, photographic evidence, witness statements, persons of interest, etc. We loved playing detective and we look forward to buying more files to solve together!

Title: I didn't even want to open it.
Review: It is amazing. It may be fictional but it looks very real. Definitely the kind of game you can play as adults and with your kids. This item is of high quality. It is not cheesy or corny like a like a lot of mystery games. This is not something you want to carry around with you because of the plain view doctrine. I got pulled over and the cops saw it on my back seat and started asking for my chain of custody document. I explained what it was and they laughed about it. I look forward to more cases. I like these because they exercise your mind.

Title: Best "cold case" type game I've played
Review: The folks behind Unsolved Case Files really have their games down to a science. I'm a mystery fanatic and an escape room aficionado, so when I started seeing the "cold case files" type of games pop up I knew I wanted to check them out. The ones from this brand are, by far, the best ones I've played.Firstly, I love the linear formatting. You can't proceed to objective b until you have completed objective a, which is beneficial if you're the kind of person who likes to see your progress as you play. There's a very clear beginning, middle, and end.Secondly, I appreciate that the stories actually make sense. This may sound like a weird compliment, but some companies putting out these kinds of games do not put a whole lot of care into them. I've never experienced that playing Unsolved Case Files. This is either my third or fourth purchase from them, so I've gotten used to their style. The stories always tie together very coherently and the conclusions are satisfying.Lastly, I appreciate that these games don't excessively rely on ciphers and codes. Don't get me wrong, I love a good cipher. Brain puzzles are the best. However, ciphers can sometimes become absurd and even take away from the overall experience when they're overused and/or unnecessary. These games stand on their own. They don't throw a bunch of random crap in just to fill space and time. The evidence provided is useful and engaging.Overall, I really enjoy buying from this company. They do a great job putting their stories together and they always provide a good experience. Our weekend game nights are always awesome when we play these!

Title: Buy these, but not this one in particular
Review: Stop, don’t let this be the first Unsolved Case Files that you buy. My family and friends have enjoyed doing this so much during quarantine. If we can’t be together in person we simply meet via zoom or Google meet and soLve the case. (It’s more fun in person, but...Pandemic. In the past we started with the Harmony Ashcroft mystery and that was great! So much fun and solvable! Next I purchased the Buddy Edmonds case and again it was a lot of fun. This one, however was more frustrating. It’s not that it was a tougher case to crack but I agree with other reviewers that the Cursive writing on a chalkboard is very hard to read even with a good quality magnifying glass. My partner and I both decided that we wouldn’t have purchased any of the other cases if this has been the first one we played so please order one of the other case files and have fun solving those! This one just wasn’t as well done. The story was a bit lame and the clues not as good. But I highly encourage you to buy these because they are so much fun to do. I’ve enjoyed them with my daughter ans son in law, and with friends. I’m just concerned that if someone buys this case first they won’t do any of the others because they’ll be turned off. So do purchase unsolved case files but purchase a different one. This one is weak at best.

Review: I bought it for my 12-year-old daughter. She researched it, and it looked rather interesting. We spent about five days, on and off (probably a total of ten hours) solving the case. It was tons of fun, and quite challenging. The quality of the paperwork is excellent; it is like you are opening a cold case file. The game itself was perfect in terms of difficulty; both my daughter and I collaborated to solve the case, and she was thrilled when we did. It is not at all like a video game. It requires patience, lots of reading and re-reading. My daughter constructed one of those wall-webs with pictures and documents that you see in TV shows. The sense of accomplishment for both of us was very satisfying. And, we just purchased another one...

Review: This is a fantastic alternative to todays modern style of fast easily accessible entertainment. I bought this unsolved case file for a games night with friends and it was far to say it went really well !! Hours of entertainment and laughter provided. The physical material them selves are such good quality with amazing attention to detail. I have had other case files before and found this more a little more difficult. I blame the gin involved. 100% recommend this as an alternative to your standard nights in watching movies ect. Fast and officiant delivery provided. I Can’t wait to buy more.
