Title: Works well..
Review: I watched a video on how to make roasted chicken in the oven and the video suggested a roasting rack. After reading reviews on other racks, I decided to buy the Norpro Adjustable Roast Rack. Here's what I found..- This rack does fold flat and saves space.- The rack is adjustable. I adjust based on the size of the chicken.- The rack is small, but worked great for my purpose (roasting 3-5 lb chickens in the oven)- I did not need to buy a big roasting pan as I was able to use an existing smaller roasting pan.- Price was factor in decision (great price)- Rack is made of good quality (chrome finish, but not the base)- The base of rack will slightly discolor after a few uses (the base part that sits in the roasting pan). No problem for me.- I don't know how it will weather for long-term use.. I've only used it a couple of times so far.- Relatively easy to clean, but not super easy. The non-stick racks would probably be easier to clean. I don't have a non-stick one so I don't know for sure.- I've read reviews of low/moderately priced small non-stick racks. Many reviews indicated that the non-stick coating starts to come off after a few cleanings. I would rather spend a little more effort cleaning the chrome rack than have the non-stick coating come off on a non-stick rack.* Overall I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend..

Title: Fits the All-Clad Lasagna Pan Perfectly!
Review: This Thanksgiving I decided to cook a turkey breast for a small gathering. I have a full-sized Calphalon roaster with V-rack that is Cooks Illustrated approved. The problem with this pan is that it barely fits the oven and it doesn't fit inside the dishwasher. In addition to this pan I also own an All-Clad Lasagna pan which is basically a 13x9 roasting pan with handles positioned horizontally instead of vertically. It is often on sale or sold as a promotional item and it is a true All-Clad bargain. However, the official All-Clad V-rack won't fit inside the Lasagna pan, ostensibly, so that people are forced to purchase an official All-Clad roasting pan. This Norpro 275 rack fits inside the All-Clad Lasagna pan perfectly with the adjustable wings raised slightly. These wings actually allow you to cradle the roast perfectly so that it doesn't move. I was actually able to position the turkey breast with the breast meat closer to the top of the oven to achieve more even cooking. The rack was sturdy enough to handle the 9 pound roast and though it slid a little inside the pan, it remained well positioned and balanced. Unlike similar racks, the 275 is chrome-plated and it didn't flake off; I was also able to run it through the dishwasher. The rack can also be used in the flat position as an extra trivet or cooling rack. The price is reasonable and with $3.99 one day shipping, it was at my door on the day before Thanksgiving. I'm almost ready to give up my Calphalon roaster!

Title: Well made. Sturdy and easy to adjust the angle of the wings.
Review: I use the rack to roast chicken or beef. And to cool homemade bread. Works great -- better than than my other old one.

Title: I learned something
Review: I have used this for large roasting chickens. I used to lay them breast up on a flat grill which raised the meat about a half inch or less above the bottom of the roasting pan. While the skin of the breast got crisp in that arrangement the skin of the back was always too moist as if it had steamed -- not crisp at all. So I tried this rack. It works better than the old arrangement and I cook the chickens breast down in this V rack. Breast down makes for a more moist breast. I'm very pleased with that. However, I found the skin of the breast didn't get crisp for me even in the V rack. It seemed whatever side was down would not crisp. Experimentation has taught me a little, though. Using paper towels to dry the skin before roasting does matter. Salting does help. Mostly, these things help on the bottom side of the bird. Which ever side is on top will get brown and crispy anyway. But now, I dry the bird thoroughly with paper towels, then rub a little salt only on the breast and put it in the V rack breast side down. I get a well roasted chicken, moist breast, well browned back and a breast that is browned and crisped a little but enough. As for meat sticking to the rack -- it does. I do nothing to prevent meat from sticking to the rack. I am not concerned. When I'm done cooking with it, I drop it in hot soapy water for five minutes then go over it for a minute with steel wool. I'm a lazy person but this isn't too much for me. It cleans very easily. The steel wool might be overkill.

Title: Got it on time
Review: Since there's only my wife and I for holidays and I'm the chief cook and bottle washer for holiday dinners I wanted a cooking rack for roasting turkey breasts. I initially ordered the one from Bradshaw international which got really good reviews, is a couple bucks less expensive and is basically the same rack as this one but all those only count if they can deliver it. About a week after ordering the first one it hadn't even shipped yet so I ordered this one. It was on my doorstep in two days. Now the rack. It appears to be pretty well made with enough adjustments to accommodate a wide variety of roasts and fowl sizes. Since the turkey breast is the biggest thing I'll use it for it'll more than accommodate that. Arrived in good order so I'm glad of that. This rack fits easily in a 9" x 13" disposable cake pan which better for clean up than a regular roasting pan. I'll use the combination to roast the turkey breast and then make the turkey gravy on the stove top. Once done clean up the rack and toss the disposable cake pan.

Title: Great product
Review: I used this product to roast a small (5 lb) whole turkey breast. Ordinarily this size breast tends to tip over on a flat roasting rack. This rack held it upright and reduced the cooking time.
