Title: I wish I had gotten this sooner
Review: I’ve used this style of piercing meat tenderizer before with so-so results but after reading some reviews I thought I’d give this one a try, and I’m glad I did. Although the casing is made of plastic It feels well made. The blades are stainless steel but I can’t open the casing to see what the inside construction is. Using the tool is easy – place it on top of the meat and press down to make the blades pierce the meat, release, move over and repeat. I also flipped the meat over and repeated on the other side. This does flatten the meat some but you can press it back together to make it thick again when grilling. The first time I tried it I only did half of a sirloin steak. When I ate the steak that side was definitely more tender than the untenderized side. On the next use I tenderized two T-bone steaks and a bone in strip steak, all were tender. I can’t wait to try this on skirt or flank steak for fajitas as those cuts are notorious for being chewy.I think the difference between this tenderizer and the one I tried before is that this one has sword/blade like pins instead of round pins. Round pins would tend to push aside the meat fibers where these pointed blades will cut them. When I try this on the fajita meat I will make sure I position the blades perpendicular to the meat fibers so that they cut the fibers and not slip between them.If I could change anything about this tool it would be to lock the bottom plate in the up position to expose the blades for easier cleaning. It could also use some small openings around the casing to allow water that enters during cleaning to exit easier.

Title: Decent Quality
Review: I obtained this meat tenderizer for my husband who loves to grill out. Rather than using other traditional methods of tenderizing his meat, he thought this was worth a try. It certainly does a good job of tenderizing the meat with the multiple sharp blades. The tenderizer itself seems to be of good quality thus far, especially all for the price. Only difficulty is cleaning it without injuring yourself - we've found it's best to clean shortly after using.

Review: This tenderizer is different than any one I've used before. It works great though to make small cuts in the meat. Only real down side is cleaning it; which can be tough.
