Title: Huge timesaver
Review: I took off a star because yhey're not as sturdy as I hoped. They hold the turkey ok but if you move the bag too much the ends will tear. I've found a lot of other uses for these. My favorite is using them to mix food-specicially melted chocolate on chex mix, pretzels, etc. Since they're heat resistant you can pour in melted chocolate and massage the bag around. They're bigger than any bowl I own so I can double batches easily and there's no clean up!

Title: as thin as a mylar ballon from the dollar store (read my specs) - update
Review: update: utter garbage. Thank goodness I did not try this in the actual oven. I only brined 4 turkey thighs and 2 drumsticks and did not even have it bearing freely the weight. I actually lined a boiling pot before I put the water and meat in. The bag still leaked regardless so that means the seam was not properly welded from the factory. Garbage....not sure what else is proper so I won't be taking any more chances.original:ok, so I have to say I really have some reservations about this. First off, it took a MONTH to get here NJ. A month. I got a flat gray package envelope. Opened it and it was the bags, I really expected some sort of box like the gallon freezer bag box or something. Not my main gripe but already started to squash my expectations. I took one out and wow....it was dollar store mylar ballon thin. Actually, even some of their ballons are thicker feeling. Now I am not sure what they are made of because nothing on the box indicates this, just directions and "certifications" and "BPA free" ..ummm. hmmm.It says for turkey, chicken and poultry....what happens if you use it for beef or ham? I am not sure if I want to risk a holiday dinner in this. The bags I know of have felt 2 or 3 times thicker than this and felt more like 3mm thick vapor barrier or contractor bags....not paper thin. How would this not melt in the open with a turkey??? I will have to cook a sacrificial meat to see. I will update but with the 50/50 split in reviews, I'd take the side of caution and go with those who said very thin, cheap feeling and I will not be surprised if I come across any improper leaky seams.The back says:- for turkey, chicken, poultry- oven, microwave use - Not on grill or BBQ- Do not exceed 200 C (392 F)- 3 to 5 kg (6.6 to 11 lbs)- 55 x 60 cm (a little less than 22 x 24 inches)
