Title: It's an okay book....
Review: I personally didn't find much use for this book. Pretty much told me everything I already know about eating healthy. I guess the upside of it was the appropriate times during pregnancy when it's more important to get certain nutrients and why, for both mom and baby. Otherwise, it's very anti-meat which I found rather weird to turn readers away from if they're not already vegetarian and/or vegan. I've been advised that especially during pregnancy, it's not a good idea to switch to a vegetarian lifestyle if you're a current meat eater due to improper knowledge of making sure you'll get enough of the nutrients necessary during pregnancy. Recipes in the back of the book look yummy, whether pregnant or not, but I wouldn't recommend this back based off of them.

Title: Great recipes that have me feeling good!
Review: Every woman goes through different cravings while pregnant, and I think that the negative reviews are coming from women who are sensitive about being told that eating candy and highly processed foods is bad for you when that is all they're craving while pregnant. If you're craving heavy meat and carb dishes during your pregnancy this book may not be for you.But if you're like me and find that your body is craving lighter, healthier meals with little to no meat, this book would be great for you. This is my first pregnancy, I'm at week 16 and 3 days and I cannot bring myself to eat chicken, fish or anything from restaurants bc of how heavy and salty most food is. I *LOVE* some of the recipes in this book which actually have me feeling good after eating! So far my favorites are the Roasted Vegetable Soup, the Arugula Salad and the Vegan Banana Muffins. Although some of the recipes are super quick to make, like the salads and the breakfast recipes, most of the others I've tried require me to make them on a Sunday in preparation for the rest of the week. The roasted vegetable soup recipe makes 2-3 days of lunch/dinner for me (depending how much my hubby has too) and the vegan banana muffins make a great breakfast or snack that lasts about 5 days depending on how much you share 🙂 Trust me, people will want them after they try them - they're the first muffins I've eaten that don't leave me feeling like I have a food coma after - my parents and hubs all love them so I've been making a batch every week.I think this book will have most women feeling their best if they make most of their meals from here. I still eat my processed cookies and the occasional cup noodles that I crave once in a while but for sure the recipes from this book are the reason that I've been feeling good during my pregnancy and motivated enough to work out at home almost every day. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Review: This book has lots of information that is nice to read & follow. It is laid out very nicely. I have tried many recipes & have yet to be disappointed. Even if you are not pregnant I highly recommend this book!I purchased this book October 2023. I am not pregnant & do not plan to be for 1 more year but I wanted to start getting used to making healthier meals & giving my body that love before we begin that journey so it is less daunting when the time comes.
