Title: Heavy but worth it!
Review: I bought this pan for my husband who wanted a larger cast iron pan. He loves it! It is heavy but it cooks so well! It makes pan searing steaks a breeze! We also love the scrubber that came with the pan because it makes cleaning up light work.

Title: Giant!!!
Review: As with almost all new cast iron pans you always need to re-season them even though the company advertises them as "seasoned". I have a ton of different cast iron pans, every time I get a new pan I ALWAYS re-season them a couple of times before I use them. The surface of cast iron pans isn't the same as they used to be and at least in my personal opinion they don't come as well seasoned as they did a long time ago.I got this pan to use for cooking for a group when we are camping and cooking over a fire. The seasoning on this pan definitely needs to be a little bit thicker to be able to consistently not stick at all but its not too bad. As with all cast iron make sure that you heat and oil your pan before you cook anything in it so that it doesn't stick. This pan is GIANT and you can fit a TON of food in it. It is definitely a beast to move but you can feed a ton of hungry campers with it. I love that it comes with silicone handles that clip over the cast iron handles and they work so great. I have used them for a bunch of other pans and they are very versatile! Make sure to clean it right away and don't use soap in it because you will ruin your wonderful seasoning!

Title: Excellent Quality, Useful Handles and Scrubber Accessories
Review: This Cast Iron Skillet + Chainmail Scrubber - 17"-Inch Dual Handle Braiser is a well made cast iron pan with a good heft and fairly smooth finish. The bottom is perfectly flat for even heat distribution. The pot holders made of a silicone material "snap" onto the handles fairly securely, and won't just slip off in a dangerous manner. I particularly love the chain mail scrubber, which has the chain mail attached to a sturdy silicone piece that is flexible enough to effectively move the chain mail over uneven surfaces of baked-on foods. I have a regular square of chain mail I've been using for my other cast iron pans, and that tends to hurt my hand, so this design is a big upgrade imo. I am planning to use this pan to make dishes like osso buco, paella and deep dish pizza, as well as to use for browning potatoes and other veg in the oven and for giant baked mac and cheese. I have a similar cast iron pan to this one, and use it all the time, but wanted a second one to bake more foods at one time for large family gatherings. I'd definitely recommend this particular pan.

Title: Uneven heat
Review: This pan fit on my bridge on my induction stove, however did not heat evenly. I left it on for 6 to 10 minutes hoping that the entire pan would heat evenly, but it never did.

Review: As advertised in size at a good price ($70~ CAD) at time of buying/writing. Cuisinel cast iron comes with lifetime warranty against defects. Their quality assurance is good for what they are trying to achieve. Users do still need to maintain and care for the cookware but it's simple and common sense seasoning with some of the leftover cooking oil and avoiding physical damage so it need not be any trouble or cost to a user. The surface is rough and the seasoning seemed a bit thin and dry to start with so I made sure to cook with a literal puddle of oil and spread the leftovers all over the pan after every time before washing. The size is 17" across the rims and 14" cooking surface as advertised. At the original time of buying and writing it was the cheapest 17" on the market cheaper than available competition, there's not much. There might be a few ways to make it nicer but they would likely increase the price. Potential improvements might include polishing and plating with magnetite. However the user through proper use and care should eventually be able to achieve a similar effect and in a way this gives the pan "character" like a reactive pet rock (iron) that the user needs to work with properly to achieve and maintain the desired result. After all if a polished and magnetite coated piece were to get damaged the user might not know to to restore it through seasoning and controlled magnetite rusting that smooths and coats the surface. When it starts out needing that care a user who succeeds in it will have the skills to maintain it.Some might also enjoy a thicker or thinner pan with the various pros or cons that brings. The thickness is solid, durable and practical though also fairly heavy. Personally I would be on the side of saying it could be thicker but that would also likely add greater expense. It's by no means thin or light.A cast iron grill or griddle lid would be the most awesome add-on they could provide, lids are awesome, double dutch oven style lids that can also cook in their own right are even better for use and storage.
