How to use The Negg Boiled Egg Peeler

1. Add 1/4 cup (Negg capful) of water to the Negg. Add your hard-boiled egg and snap on the top cap.

2. Now you're ready to slip the egg out of its shell. SHAKE the Negg up and down with enough force so that the egg strikes the caps. Remember to take it a little easy, or you will end up with a slushy mess complete with shells.

3. Shake until you feel the shell begin to "soften" - approximately 4 to 12 times. Timing will vary. Watch the progress through the clear body to know when your egg is ready.

4. When you see the white of the egg appear, you're done. Mission Accomplished. The egg will then slip out of its shell.

5. If the egg is a reluctant sheller you may have to break the membrane after shaking to get the shell to release. This can happen with extremely fresh eggs.

Title: This thing is amazing!
Review: This device is the 3rd and final tool needed for the perfect trifecta of weapons against the hard boiled egg peeling war. I boil and peel a dozen eggs every week and i can easily peel my farm fresh eggs, laid the very same day. I start by gently tapping the wide end of the egg with the back of a spoon until i hear a small pop. I then boil them with one of those egg shaped egg timer things and then after lettibg them cool, i use the Negg with a bit of water and the shells slip right off. Love this thing!!!

Title: Does a terrific job!
Review: I was quite skeptical of this, but it works amazingly well. Eggshells separate completely from the egg white, and then peel off easily. Sometimes, the shells are already completely detached at the end of shaking, and come off in one or two connected pieces. After eight months of regular use, the black tops and bottoms are not separating easily from the clear cylinder. Since this device works so well, I am very happy to replace it once or twice a year if necessary.

Title: Where has this been all my egg’n life?!
Review: IT WORKS!!! This little piece of plastic has revolutionized my egg game. I mastered the perfect boiled egg (thank you) but would constantly obliterate it trying to get it peeled. Thanks to the Negg, shake a cpl times and the shell comes right off in one piece! It takes a little trial and error, 6 shakes seems to work for me but it all depends on your shake style, strength etc. And I still pull the shell off under running water but it’s more habit than necessity. When I got it, I didn’t think it would work, so the first egg I tried looked like egg shell salad! I shook it like 20 times lol 😆 Don’t do that. Add 1/4 c water (to the bottom cap line), shake GENTLY a few times, you’ll learn to hear the sound when it’s done. And you can see thru the clear plastic to check if you need a few more shakes. The snap on lid is a little hard to pop on and off completely so i leave mine a little askew and shake over the sink, a little water may sneak out but when you’re doing 18 eggs, it’ll save your fingers, trust me. Enjoy!

Title: Overly hyped
Review: I was very excited to find a better way to peel and egg, but I never really got the hang of it. And the eggs still had the 'I'm going to take the white part with the shell' attitude, even with this egg peeler. I thought it would make everything easier and faster, but it really didn't.Finally I decided it was taking up room when it really wasn't doing much better than when I did it by hand, and I sent it to a 2nd hand store. Sad it didn't help me as I thought it would.

Title: Make sure the lids are snapped or water will drip out when shaking; and then...
Review: I have tried twice. What I discovered, is that you cannot over boil the eggs; and you cannot leave in the refrigerator in the shell for a whole day. Then I generally make six at a time. I boil for 20 minutes, remove eggs from hot water, place into cold water for at least 10 to 15 minutes. Eggs will still be someone warm, but not hot. Then fill the cup with water as instructed, secure lid, and shake vigorously for 10 or 12, but check to see if most of the shell has started to fall off. It may also depend how strong the person shakes it.

Review: Saves a few precious minutes peeling eggs - the trick, as mentioned by others, is to cool the eggs in cold water for a few minutes after hard boiling before using this guy. Then it works perfectly!
