Review: Pros: does what it says it will do, and does it well. The blade portion comes off in one unit that can just be put in the dishwasher, and there’s a switch on top of the handle that “locks” the device so it won’t accidentally, say, stab your hand or other part of your anatomy.Cons: you need strong muscles and grip. Don’t get this for the grandparents, or anyone else with weak arm muscles.

Title: Works great on my steaks.
Review: Sometimes I try to save money and buy the cheaper, tougher cuts of beef, like a chuck steak or worst. After dry brining the meat, I've gotten good results beating the meat with the OXO tenderizer. Like most OXO products it is practical, durable, and offered at a reasonable price. To clean it properly you really need a dishwasher. I wouldn't want to clean it by hand.

Title: Great purchase!
Review: This works great! One never knows if the cut of meat they purchase will be tender or like boot leather. This takes care of that. It does a great job of tenderizing all cuts of meat. The only negative thing is that it is not “fun” to clean. As soon as I use it, it out it in hot water and detergent. Makes the cleaning very easy.

Review: I'm sure it will work great on just meat, used it on pork belly to perforate the skin for Chinese pork belly and a porchetta, it was tough to get through the skin but the bigger issue was when trying to get the blades back out the top cover kept coming off because the rounded plastic tab that holds it on doesn't have very good engagement and kept pulling off even when not depressing the button

Review: I have used this kitchen tenderizer for about 8 years now, and just recently bought another as a gift. It does an incredible job of tenderizing steaks and other meats. I will use this on cheaper cuts, tenderize with the OXO, then marinate for a few hours, and the end result is beautifully tender steaks. The OXO allows such fine cuts into the meat for the marinade to enter, yet the cuts close back up and shrink back so the steaks do not look like they've ever been tenderized. I know that a few local restaurants use the same product for their meats. Highly recommend.

Review: This is a solid product - easy and quick to use. I lay out my steaks, and make sure I cover each side with holes. Sprinkle some cooking salt and pepper, and slap it into a hot iron cast pan. Sear both sides and transfer to the over to cook through for about 6-8 minutes at 200 degrees. Let it rest for ten minutes and carve into slices. Kids love how soft it is and melts in your mouth! A quick scrub with a bristle brush for cleaning and back into the drawer for next time.
