Hi, Jeff I just wanted to report your instructions for buying and cooking a Prime Rib Roast were perfect. I had the butcher prepare it as you outlined. I followed your directions to the letter and ended up with a feast fit for a king. Thanks for all your help. I am no longer afraid of big roasts. Jody from Kansas

Hello Jeff, My rib roast turned out great. I appreciate the tips about the differences in the cuts of the rib. I chose a three-rib roast from the large end. For me, the most valuable part of your book was the cooking instructions. I have been cooking standing rib roasts for Christmas dinner for several years. Each year the roasts turned out OK. I have never been able to get restaurant-quality doneness. This year your unique roasting method turned the trick, giving me the results, I have been seeking. Thanks, Bob from Florence, Kentucky

Jeff, I have tried a number of different recipes for a Standing Rib Roast. Most turned out fair. After following your directions, I turned out the best Prime Rib that I have ever done. The technique and easy rib recipe were so simple that it made prep time very quick. Your book was one of the best purchases that I have ever made. I am glad I found it. Eric from Cape Cod, Maryland

I think Kristine summed it up best!
My Prime Rib was awesome! I was so nervous to make it. So expensive for a piece of meat. But I followed your recipe and it was awesome! Thanks, Jeff

Title: My Prime Rib Roast Was So Good Angels Sang Its Praise!
Review: I love to cook. I can cook traditional comfort foods from every continent. I make soups, appetizers, desserts, just name it. But most of all, I love cooking meat. Pork, beef, buffalo, poultry, fish, venison, and even gator. One thing that I have never made before though was a prime rib roast. Mostly because it is a very expensive cut of meat. It's not meant for a causal dining experience. This is a "break out the good china and silverware" cut of meat. I wanted to do something nice for my wife who recently chaired a book fair to raise money for a school for special needs children. She worked so hard an did so well that all of the students of the school will be able to receive free books as gifts during the Holiday season. I decided to treat her to a prime rib roast dinner. I really had no idea how to cook this roast, and I did not want to use my traditional beef rub because I didn't want a $110.00 cut of meat tasting like a $8.98 grocery chain roast. I did an Amazon search for "How To Cook A Perfect Prime Rib Roast" and not surprisingly, this book was at the top of the search results. For less than one USD, I had to jump at the chance to buy it. I am so glad that I did. This not only tells you HOW to cook the roast, it all tells you how to shop for the roast, how to talk to your butcher about the roast, and what are the best type of kitchen thermometers to use. I followed this book's instructions to the letter and I was proud to serve my wife what was easily the most delicious roast that we have both ever taste. Mr. Schabel is quite the expert when it comes to cuts of meat and how to prepare them. Do yourself a favor and get this book before you attempt making your own prime rib roast.

Title: READ THIS REVIEW!!!!
Review: In the past I have been very disappointed with the results when making a rib roast. This book was the answer to all of my problems from buying a rib roast to seasoning the meat to the actual roasting. Mr. Schabel takes you step by step into the process of cooking this expensive & very delicious cut of beef. I can't wait to try Mr. Schabel's three temperature process!I am actually writing this review before I make a rib roast to praise the author. At the end of his digital book he includes his email address to answer any question the reader may have. I had encountered some unique issues in the past when making a rib roast. So I decided to ask the author not really expecting to get an answer at least not for a long time. Let me just tell you that Mr. Schabel answered me in less than 24 hours! His reply was intricate and thorough! I am SO glad I took a chance and got this digital book! Thank you, Mr. Schabel!!!

Title: A True Achievement - A Rib Roast in Under Three Hours!
Review: I've been reading a James Beard cookbook so I got inspired to cook a rib roast. I bought the roast, then went and bought a roasting pan...then came home only to be a bit intimidated by what I should do next with a six-pound roast. I decided I better find a good kindle book. Roasts are usually what we have on holidays and other people in my family do a great job cooking them. Now it was time for me to learn how to cook a perfect roast in under three hours! This book was one of the few books that looked like it would be really helpful for the specific task of cooking a prime rib roast. No matter what you need to know, someone out there had the experience to guide you and Jeff Schabel is that perfect guide as he's been a butcher for a long time and learned how to roast a prime rib from a professional chef. This book took forty-five minutes to read but was well worth the effort.Jeff Schabel will teach you everything from how to select a roast to getting the roast to a perfect temperature. I followed his recipe except I put garlic clove slivers in the top and used a light olive oil and some lemon pepper. That is how I prefer my roast but his directions use mustard and some easy-to-find ingredients.I think this recipe is so successful because you take the roast out of the refrigerator three hours before you start cooking. This lessens the actual roasting times. I was able to achieve perfection in under three hours. I had a six-pound roast with three ribs. The ribs were detached and then tied back on which made the roast easy to sliceonce you removed the strings and ribs at the end.So I decided to cook the roast to 140 degrees and then let it sit for the 15 minutes like the instructions said. Amazing but true the temperature did actually rise to 145 degrees leaving the roast with the perfect doneness. It is true to say that a lot of people like their roast rare. This was somewhere between medium and medium well. Which I felt was perfect.I will say that following someone's recipe requires a fair amount of trust. I questioned things at every turn but made myself do exactly as instructed. Let me say that my trust was well earned. You do need a digital thermometer to get it right however as you can't keep opening the oven. If you need to look at the roast as it is cooking, turn on the light! That is what I made myself do. What did impress me however was how the roast looked after just 20 minutes. It was perfectly browned and crispy. This book made the whole process so much easier and I must personally congratulate the author on his perfect book for anyone who needs a good challenge but wants to win in the end. Buying a roasting pan was a great idea however since I could not have cooked a roast this big in any other kitchen item I have! A six-pound roast can be slightly expensive so you want to cook it right the first time. With this book you will have success!~The Rebecca Review
