Title: Perfect For 2-4 People, Takes Up Very Little Space
Review: I have always used rice cookers but I try to avoid non-stick since non-stick surfaces will leach toxins into your rice. So I found this little gem: stainless steel and smaller than the regular rice cookers. It cooks rice perfectly, and the steel pot is easy to clean if you let it soak in water for a few minutes. Love, love this thing and we used it about twice a week, every week.

Title: Aroma Rice Cooker - Would Recommend - Works Great
Review: I have an old rice cooker/veggie steamer that I received for Christmas many decades ago that still works great. But the inner liner(or pot) is 100% aluminum. And we know that aluminum has been linked to Alzheimer’s. So now that I’ve switched to a Whole-Foods Plant-based diet/lifestyle, I eat tons more whole grain brown rice. The inner liner of the Aroma Housewares rice cooker is stainless steel! Score! And it cooks brown rice perfectly!! It is as simple and easy to use and clean as the old one. Measure the rice with the included cup & wash the rice. Place it in the pot. Fill with broth or water or a mix of both with the same measuring cup. Place the cover on. Plug it in. Push the button down to cook, and 30-40 minutes later you have perfect rice! You simply add extra liquid (1/2 to 3/4 cup) than normal white rice and let it sit on warm after the timer ends to give it more time to cook. You just have to experiment. The first time I cooked whole-grain brown rice per the chart and recommended water, it was just slightly chewy. So per the instructions I just added a 1/2 cup more water and left it sitting on warm. That did the trick to finish cooking till it was just perfect. The second time, I added more water than the first time and let it sit 10 minutes after the timer ended. Perfect rice! I haven’t cooked quinoa or barley yet. But they are in the cooking chart in the book it came with. I can’t wait to try cooking other grains!Update: Now that I’ve used this rice cooker for a couple months, and about 6-8 times, to cook long-grain brown rice, I can say it’s a great cooker. And I saw the other reviews that complain about the cooker spewing water everywhere. That DID happen to me the very first time I used it. But after that, it never happened again even when cooking more than I did that first time. The first time I only used 2 cups of uncooked brown rice, and yes it did spew and starchy gloppy water went everywhere. It boiled over. But the next time I used it, I placed it in my sink anticipating a mess. I cooked 3 cups uncooked the second time, and NO MESS. The next time (3rd time) I placed it on my counter with a triple layer of paper towels underneath it, and again - no mess! So maybe it is some sort of coating that is scrubbed or cooked off, after the first use. Yes I did wash the inner pot when I unpacked it, before first use. So that may be the reason. But I’m here to tell you it hasn’t happened since. I highly recommend this rice / grain cooker. It’s perfect!

Title: So far so good!
Review: Everything worked great. It is a nice looking appliance and I love that I don’t have to worry about toxic chemicals. I read reviews where people said it spurted out water or bubbled up, I didn’t have that issue at all. Are you guys rinsing your rice to get all the starch off? I also saw reviews saying rice stuck to the bottom of the pot, which is somewhat expected with stainless steel. To prevent that I did add a teeny amount of olive oil to the rice before cooking, and I didn’t have any issues with sticking at all! So far I am very happy with the rice cooker, and my rice came out great.

Title: It is small. But great rice cooker. Goodbye non-stick!!
Review: This was my LAST non-stick item. Can’t stand the stuff. I am so happy to be using a stainless steel rice cooker now. The bowl is thick and sturdy it’s awesome. Rice doesn’t get as stuck as I thought it would, only a little bit but it’s really not a big deal. I don’t leave it on warm for too long though. Just be aware the “6 cup cooked” is small, of course it depends what you are using it for and how big your family is. This basically cooks enough rice for my husband and I and our two toddlers, If I put too much rice in it doesn’t cook properly at the top. In hindsight I should have gotten the “10 cup cooked” but this fits nicely in my cupboard. It just means I don’t have much leftovers. Luckily white rice cooks in 20 min or less. Overall I’m happy with it and nothing beats stainless steel. Goodbye forever non-stick! We don’t want you!

Title: No burnt rice on bottom of pot, no bubbling mess coming out of vent hole, and good jasmine rice!
Review: My 20 yr old rice cooker pot is teflon coated, realized the other day that a lot of the teflon had come off all around the inside bottom. Never noticed it in the cooked rice, so it must have been coming off in tiny pieces. Decided to get a stainless steel rice cooker, I throughly rinse my jasmine rice three times, then "sometimes" let it soak in hot water for 10-15 min before adding to pot, makes for more tender rice if I am not in a hurry. I used the included measuring cup for two cups of rice, that equals 1-1/2 cups of rice, and added 1-2/3 cups of distilled water (just over the 2 measuring line in the pot). After 25-30 min. turned rice cooker off (no more steam coming out of vent hole) and removed pot with lid from cooker and let sit on cork pad for at least 10 min. while I prepared my dinner veggies and meat. Then use a silicone spatula to remove the rice, it all comes out easily with no rice stuck on the bottom of the pot. Also there was no water or rice starch residue on the outside of the glass cover. Great rice cooker! I made an insulated cover for the glass lid to make it more energy efficient, with an opening for the vent hole, and also lined the inside of the cooker with the same double faced 1/4" thick aluminum foil insulation. Now if I am in a hurry to eat dinner and remove rice right after the steam stops coming out of the vent hole, then a thin layer of rice will stick to the bottom of the pot.Update, normally I cook rice nearly every night, but realized with this rice cooker I could easily cook 4-dinners worth of rice at once. So now I cook 3 cups of rinsed/soaked jasmine rice with 3 cups of water, and then after it has cooled for 10 min on coutertop. I divide rice into 4 sections and put each one into a separate glass storage container in frig., so now only need to cook rice once every 5 days. Saves energy and time/effort, just use microwave to warm up each for 3 min.

Review: It just works. Easy to clean. You can unscrew the lid handle if it gets funky under there. It's stainless steel and it just works. No fancy bells or whistles -- it cooks and it warms and it works for me (single person). No fancy shenanigans also means fewer points of failure. For me, rice is life, and this rice cooker is a solid foundation to build upon. I'm necessarily frugal and I want reliability; this thing delivers. 10/10

Review: The cooker outer shell had a stain mark though. The packaging was really nice. So far I have just unpacked and used it once - used 4 cups of Tilda basmati rice & 5 cups of water (so that the rice is a bit soft). And rice cooked really nice. I’m a perfectionist in terms of any purchase it’s hard to convince me, I keep returning things as long as it’s not up to my expectations and research. And this Rice cooker is worth every penny ( I bought it for $61), as the inner pot is stainless steel which is a healthier option to the nonstick ones. Hope this review helps.Update:Have used 3/4 times a week for 3 months now. Works great, worth every penny. The stainless steel pot works as a storage pot too - I cook rice in it, once the rice is cooked down, I store this with the lid on in the refrigerator and this pot works great. Easy to clean up the remaining rice from pot before next cooking. Highly recommend and for sure worth every penny!
