Title: Amazing recipes and no use of salt
Review: I bought this book to help my father in law lower his blood pressure. There were a few recipes that I didn't like so well but he did. There were recipes where I needed to buy a pork loin log but recipe didn't state that so I bought just a pork loin chop, only when I got through the directions did I realize it should have been the log. The dish still came out great. I have almost made every recipe in this book and besides a few I have greatly enjoyed the recipes. I attached a vegetarian enchilada with bean medley that I made from the book so you can see what some of the dishes look like. I have also attached a recipe so you can see the format of the recipe. I liked the tips the author gave on each of the recipes. So far I have made the breakfast smoothies more than once and the ground turkey and Brussel skillet is my father in laws absolute favorite.It didn't take the 3 days to lower his blood pressure. The week we started to change how we eat we used this book he went from being in red. Then the following week I incorporated walking and he jumped down to orange and yellow. The moment I had him take a few minutes each day to breath quietly with no disturbances did he finally enter the green for great numbers on his pressure. He lost 23 pounds in about 3 weeks. His weight loss was contributed to portion control, me feeding him breakfast smoothies for 2 weeks and trying out chicken and pork recipes for lunch and dinner.I will state the one thing I didn't like is how much is a serving (1cup, 2 cups). When making the smoothies the recipe will say serves 2. I bought smoothie jars and I divide the smoothie evenly among the 2 jars. However some smoothie recipes go over this. I can top 2 jars and still have a little left in my blender.

Title: 155/95 to 122/77 by end of day 3!!!
Review: This book knocked my blood pressure down from 155/95 (and sometimes higher!) to 123/77 just before I wrote this review...IN 3 DAYS! Just follow the recipes, get your potassium up (hit 4,700 mg/day), get your magnesium up (hit 350 mg/day), and watch your blood pressure drop! And exercise! First two days, it didn't budge. Was still stubbornly high, 155/95. By third day bedtime, it was 122/77!!! Yours may not come down on the third day, it may take the full 21 days. But stick with the book and you'll succeed!!! Good luck!!! Actually, you don't even need luck with this book. Just follow the plan and the recipes.

Review: Bought this book for health and not weight loss. I have actually lost weight though. I am on week 3 and have really enjoyed all of the tasty recipes except one which was not to my taste. Review: One of the better books I have bought with recipes for lowering blood pressure. Simple but tasty recipes that do actually use things you will find in your cupboard! A little explanation of the dietary benefits precedes each recipe, while nutritional information is given as well. Plus useful substitution tips. There are no photos but I am not bothered by that and measurements are in cups and temperature in Fahrenheit but that’s not a problem. There are conversion tables at the back if needed. So far I have not found a recipe I do not like. Simple Sweet Potato Brownies are delicious and I am not a fan of sweet potato! After a month on the Dash Diet (plus one square of dark -80% cocoa- chocolate a day) I am seeing my blood pressure come down.
