Title: The best little pot that I own.
Review: This pot may say "asparagus / vegetable steamer" in the name, but that's merely a classification based on it's size and dimensions. This is probably my most useful pot in my collection, and and a very high-quality piece of cookware!Pros: As I will describe in the last section, this pot has more uses than I can come up with. It's made of dense, heavy steel and the handles are probably stronger than they'll ever need to be. The lid fits perfectly, and is as well built as the rest of the pot. The steamer fits perfectly and evenly inside the pot, and is the perfect size for many applications.Cons: After about a year of use, the bottom finally warped a bit, which is only an issue on flat-top ceramic ranges. It still works fine, but it doesn't sit perfectly flat and can sometimes pop in and out while heating up. Also, don't buy this expecting to serve a banquette with it. And don't try to brown anything very large in it (it's a little hard to get down in there with tongs). It's narrow, tall, and above all SMALL... but that isn't a bad thing!Other: This pot is perfect for steaming vegetables and anything else that you might want to steam that will fit inside. But not only that, This is the perfect miniature stock pot! It holds about 2 quarts, and I've done more experimental recipes and methods with it than anything else! I've used this pot to make a ton of small batches of soups, broths, and stocks. It's perfect for 2 or 3 servings of soup, or to just test a new recipe out! The dimensions and metal density are perfect for long, slow brewing of culinary assets. I even put a whole ham-hock in this little guy and made some amazing ham stock. I've used the pot to do some deep frying too! The steamer basket even doubles as a fryer basket if the food isn't too small. And it's even good for one or two servings of pasta. But, because it's tall and narrow, I wouldn't recommend making more than 2 servings because boil-over could become an issue. This is not just a steamer pot. It was exactly what I needed before I even went looking for it. I hope you buy this and find it as useful as I do!

Title: Very well designed and executed.
Review: I know, I know. This violates my own rule of not buying a "Single-Use-Item". And an Asparagus Steaming Pot certainly seems like "One of Those Things" to me! BUT...if you MUST have an asparagus steamer in your Fifty thousand dollar state-of-the-art kitchen, then THIS is the absolute 'ne-plus-ultra Asparagus Steamer, one that no doubt will be found in the King of Denmark's kitchen, and all other similarly-esteemed locales throughout the world. Bravo! Encore! Encore!

Title: Good Spaghetti Cooker
Review: Good Spaghetti Cooker -If you're looking for something to cook your spaghetti in without it hanging over the edge, this is an acceptable pot for that purpose. It easily fits a pound of spaghetti (the tips only exceed the top edge by maybe a half inch, and quickly fall in). I have a picture but I don't see anywhere to post it. This would be good for cooking lasagne noodles in also, probably. The only issue is when pouring out the hot liquid and noodles into the colander. Since the pot is so narrow you do have to be careful to not inadvertently pour the water on your pot holders. It's not a major issue, just something to be aware of if you're used to using larger pots. I recommend it for cooking spaghetti and I think it will have many other uses. It is also an attractive pot.

Title: Not so great for induction
Review: This pot is thin magnetic stainless that should theoretically work great on an induction range. As a steamer - a thick aluminum base isn't necessary since you can't burn water! The base isn't flat. There is a 2" diameter 1/8" upward indentation in the center of the bottom of the pot. On the induction range - it made for some weird vibrations and noises from the range that other pots do not. I really don't know if it's a big deal or not, but the last thing I want to do is ruin a $2000 range with a $20 pot.So if you're using a regular range - the functionality is probably just fine.

Title: Versatile. Works on induction.
Review: We use it on an 7" induction burner and it works well. We've used it to steam various vegetables, particularly asparagus. Also a good size for making popcorn. This steamer allows us to use a our small size induction burner when the large burner has a large pan on it. Allows us to make spaghetti of various kinds while cooking something else on the larger burner. We've also used it to boil multiple eggs at the same time.
