Review: I bought this to replace an old chrome-plated slicer that had been showing rust for years. This one is well-made and solid. I like it a lot, with one exception - I wish the wire spacing were a little wider like my old one because the egg slices are a bit thinner than I prefer. I paid attention to that when looking for a new slicer, but the specs aren't always evident in many of the Amazon product descriptions.

Review: I used this slicer for the first time last night. I bought it to replace a plastic one with metal wires. When the plastic frame broke, I wanted an all metal slicer. This one worked well and came with a little brush fir cleaning the slicing wires. It's also smaller than the old one, taking up less space in the gadget drawer.
