Title: Short, readable guide takes coffee brewing to the next level.
Review: Really fun for a person who likes coffee enough to learn a little about what a serious expert thinks about the brewing process, without becoming a chemist. Strikes a perfect balance between the minutiae of technical science and simple kitchen tips. The book is short and the chapters are short, written in a conversational style for a lay audience. But, there's enough detail to stretch the knowledge of most casual coffee drinkers to the next level. Great gift. And, it definitely offers ideas for making a better cup of coffee, which is a practical benefit, not just theory.

Review: Iâve purchased so many books about coffee, but this is the only one I would truly recommend. If only I had found this one first, I would have saved a lot of money.

Review: This book is a surprisingly short read, but informative. The information contained within seems accurate and is generally helpful to a beginning coffee enthusiast. That said, I found it frustrating how poorly the figures translated into the Kindle version. It appears that many of them don't show up at all, as in the last section of the book it jumps from Figure 1 to 4, then 7, 8, etc. Not all the figures are needed to understand a brewing method but it seems a glaring omission.

Title: Well written, incredibly informative
Review: I cannot say enough good things about this book. If you are a coffee connoisseur (or pretend to be), this book with give you more knowledge about the bean than anything I have ever read. The illustrations are fantastic, the information is great, and it caused me to consume 10 CUPS IN A MATTER OF MINUTES. Caffeine not included.

Review: Even if you're just interested in how to make coffee via whatever method you choose, this book sets you straight. I love coffee probably more than I should. I fancied myself a bit of a coffee connoisseur, then I gave this book a read. Now I know how much I didn't know before and my ability to make coffee and troubleshoot it based on what I've made has produced excellent results. I used to think my coffee was good. Now I know what I was missing.
