Review: This is the first greenworks tool I have purchased. It came quick and package very well. It was easy to assemble and use. It works very well and is not very heavy, which is good for someone like me who has had back problems since birth. I am very please with thos purchase.

Title: Mostly works as advertised
Review: This tool replalced a 10 yr old Ryobi trimmer/edger because I couldn't go more than three feet without the trimming string breaking. I could not find replacement parts so chose to replace with the Greenworks tool.I have a Greenworks electric 21 inch mower I like very much. This tool is not as easy to use. To convert from/to edger/trimmer takes three separate adjustments. The Ryobi required only one. Not major but more work. This tool advertises an electronic string advance. Right. I wish it worked. I've read and followed the instructions for string advancing and it doesn't. If there is an electronic sensor which triggers a string advance, its very inconsistent. It is especially when the string gets about 2 inches I wish it would advance. Nope. Take the cover off, remove spool, pull out the string, reassemble. Annoying. However, the trimmer does work and cut nicely. It is light weight. Wish it had a means to hang on a nail. Battery life seems good. l I have not run out of battery yet during work. Greenworks doesn't have a branded trimmer string so finding one that you like will take time.

Title: Battery Charged Quickly - Edger Feature Easy to Use
Review: I had an earlier version of Greenworks Trimmer/Edger and was glad that this updated model works in the same way. The tool was easy to assemble in just a few minutes, and the battery charged up quickly as well. We mainly use this trimmer/edger to do edging after we mow the grass. I buy bulk replacement line for my trimmer/edger; I noticed that the factory line was worn down more quickly than the bulk line that I will be replacing it with when I reload the spool. The battery lasted ~45 minutes of pretty much continuous use, which is what I expected it to do. The tool was easy to clean and store, so I'm pleased with its overall performance. One thing I will warn users about - since the housing is plastic, don't let it drag on the edge of the sidewalk or driveway - if it drags then it will wear down the housing and eventually damage the motor, which is what killed my earlier version of this trimmer/edger.Update to Review 25-July-2022 - The line is prematurely breaking at the eyelet opening. It appears that there is a sharp ridge on the eyelet that's cutting a crease in the line, then the line breaks prematurely. I have to open the spool & advance the line.

Title: Works great at first but built like crap
Review: There's alot to like about this Greenworks trimmer. It's lightweight, versatile, easy to use and I was able to finish everything before the battery was done. Unfortunately, after the third (THIRD!!!) use, the head that lets it pivot between edger mode and trimmer mode would no longer lock into place. The thing is made out of so much plastic that a little bit of dirt getting in there got the springs stuck so the button to move it back and forth wouldn't pop back up. This trimmer is a yard tool where dirt is it's achilles heel!It has a 4 year warranty (I was only 3 months in), so I called support. I was told I was number 47 (FORTY-SEVEN!!!) in the queue. After 10 minutes, I had moved all the way to 45. I immediately hung up and searched for an email contact. I emailed support and I did get a response, a week later. Once the case was established email response time was better. After sending all the pertinent info, as well as describing the issue and sending a video, they said to take it into one of their supported warranty centers, which is 45-60 minutes away. A round trip to drop the item off, a round trip to pick it back up when its done... 3-4 hours of driving for an item that was ordered online for about $70. I guess I've been spoiled, but I was expecting a swap through the mail or at least someplace a little bit closer (I live in a major metropolitan area, not the distant suburbs or countryside). The value of the trimmer is not worth that time and effort.Long story short I looked up a teardown video online and I was able to fix it myself- for now. I'm sure it will happen again after a few more uses, I'll just keep fixing it myself until it breaks for good, which will probably be sooner rather than later from this plastic hunk of junk.

Title: Green works two and 1 trimmer and edger
Review: This is a good weight for me,And that was the main reason I got it , I haven't quite figured out yet how to get it to cut right when on the wheels for edging by my drive way and sidewalks it doesn't want to go through the grass very well even after the grass has been cut at a 2 1/2 to 3in height so guess practice will help Never had this problem with my husband's Stelth weed eater , and also the auto line feeder is not working I have to literally take the spool out and redo the line myself so that is another reason I gave it only 3 stars and I bought the extra spools that already has line on them from Green works and still it doesn't work using, that is so aggravating when you purchase a tool, you expect to get what you order to work as described !! And if you have more than a 30 minute job to do you best buy another battery cause they take a while to recharge. The power of it is good just the battery runs down fast , I was going to send it back but wanted to give it a fair chance because I have some health problems and auto immune diseases that effect my muscles and so had to go lighter and was so excited I found this onebut wish I had went up a grade higher maybe I would not have so many issues. I read the whole Manuel and put the trimmer /edger together step by step, but still the auto feeder doesn't workCorrectly ðð

Me gusto.
