Title: Wish this book had been available to me 40-50 years ago.
Review: I first heard about the Infinite Banking Concept (perhaps the best known of the idea's many names) from a newsletter solicitation a year or two ago, and then another and another, but all were full of hype so I steered clear. When I received the latest one a few weeks ago, I finally succumbed to the newsletter, primarily out of curiosity. And, yes, that report was chock full of hype, too. So I googled the concept to see if I could find any solid info and a number of books popped up. When I read excerpts (on Amazon of course) from Nelson Nash's first book, "Becoming Your Own Banker" it didn't impress me as being particularly well written. And then I came upon Dwayne and Suzanne Burnell's latest, "Financial Independence in the 21st Century", read many excerpts and wanted to learn more. And so I did, in spades! This book is very well written, illustrated with excellent charts, and perfectly organized to make the whole concept very clear and easy to understand. And with no hype whatsoever - exciting to read, yes, and with results in the case studies that are hard to believe sometimes (because they work so well!) but no hype. It puts the utilization of life insurance, when properly customized by someone who really knows what they're doing, in a whole new, much more positive light than I had ever imagined.I'm now too old, no doubt, to benefit from this concept in nearly as significantly as I would have had I started decades ago. Having spent most of my career in various financial services, including investments and insurance, I can honestly say that I would have been considerably better off today had I been made aware of and adhered to this very solid concept. I want my kids to read this extremely worthwhile book which I know, if followed with discipline, will put their financial future on a much more solid path, in so many ways.

Title: This is the concept we should have ALL been taught at the beginning of our financial lives. But, it's never too late to start.
Review: I've read several books on the High Cash Value Whole Life Insurance & Bank On Yourself concepts. This is, by far, the most complete, easy to understand, introduction to the concept. If only I learned of this 20 years ago. But, it's not too late to take advantage of the approach from this day forward. I have ordered several copies of this book and sent them along to friends and family members so that they too can learn that permanent participating whole life insurance is not the demon we were all taught that it is. There is a way to set it up to offer a myriad of benefits and truly limiting any downside. To "save" in retirement accounts invested in the market is not saving ... it is gambling. A high cash value participating life insurance policy on the other hand is an incredibly powerful savings vehicle, allowing you to reduce your own dependence on banks and loans over time by growing your money risk free and giving you access to your own money on your terms, when you need it. I can't recommend this highly enough. I only hope that this review has helped even one person decide to at least check out the concept and hopefully, act on it. It will improve your financial future immensely.

Title: Great book
Review: I had already read Nelson Nash's book - so wasn't too much new but better examples of how it worked - and a bit more detail on commissions made. Stressed the need to be sure your insurance agent is familiar with the product - not just any ol' whole life policy will work to be able to borrow on cash available.Very easy to understand from author's point of view - and explained thoroughly.

Title: Important Information to Know
Review: This is one of two books I give out to people when they are considering the Infinite Banking system (the other being "Confessions of a CPA: The Truth About Life Insurance"). This has big, easy to read charts that give clear insight into what we've all been taught about finances. While the 401K has advantages, it's enlightening to see that other side: that all that money is at risk. Before I read this, I figured that if the market goes down 10% and up 12% I'm 2% in the black. But here I was finally made to do the math and realize that when capital is lost, you've got to have an ever larger increase to make up for it. I think the Infinite Banking model is something that should be a part of everyone's portfolio and this book is one of the best I've read to show why (and I've read a lot books on this). I highly recommend it to you.

Title: The Best I've Read
Review: I have read Financial Independence in the 21th Century a couple of times since I bought it a few months ago and I must say that it is one of the very best books I've read on the "personal banking" strategy. Dwayne drills down and gives nuts and bolts. I've given or recommended the book to several of my clients and friends and have told them that it is one of the best financial books I have ever read. I learned some things from Dwayne Burnell's book that I didn't know, even after being in the financial services industry for nearly 25 years. Dwayne's chapter on the Multi-Generational Strategy was a tremendous eye opener for a guy like me who has focused on stocks and mutual funds for most of my career. Talk about leaving a legacy... WOW! This should be a MUST read for anyone who wants to increase their financial literacy.

Title: Create a multi-generational financial foundation that is smart, safe, and versatile
Review: After reading Dwayne Burnell's other book, "A Path to Financial Peace of Mind," I was greatly interested in learning more about how to reduce my family's financial exposure to the volatile and fickle stock market. I have read other books about using participating whole life insurance as a foundational financial vehicle, and Burnell's approach is the best of them. Burnell uses straightforward examples to illustrate the method, but moreover, goes into much detail about why such an approach is advantageous on many levels. If you are interested in learning more about how to attain financial security with steady, compounding growth, along with the accessability and flexibility that this approach offers, you should read Burnell's book. I really like the different examples of how this financial vehicle can be started and used by people of different ages and situations. I look forward to exploring with Dwayne the possibilities for my own family.

Review: This is the best book on the Infinite Banking Concept. It follows the 7 Principals of the Prosperity Economics Movement, started by Kim Butler in the US. Contrary to some other reviews, this concept works just as well (and in some cases) better for Canadians. I loved all the case studies in the book for various ages. Dwayne, shows how you can implement the 'Becoming Your Own Banker' concept in your own life very clearly and explains how a properly structured investment grade whole life policy can easily outperform the stock market, while providing a tremendous legacy to your family for generations to come.
