Title: Very powerful yet very quiet
Review: I bought a 8000 BTU which proofs to be enough to cool my whole 2 BD appartment with outdoor temps over 90°F, since I don't like it too cold. My apartment feels very comfortably cool. Title: after three years I am beginning to have problems with it.
Review: It's having problems. has trouble with the heat of the day, a number of the cooling fins have been bent over from moving it because they are not protected. A false check filter light came on. I have never been able to tell if the vent on it is opened or closed. It is short cycling when it gets over 97 degrees outside which lets it get to 90 degrees inside. I do not know why it is short cycling, the filter is clean, the outside condenser is not really hot and the inside evaporator is not cold, neither is blocked or clogged but when it gets over 97 outside it begins short cycling.
