Title: Fancy, well made, heavy duty wine bottle opener.
Review: Q. What did you think of the product when it arrived?A. The wine bottle opener was packaged in a box inside an Amazon box. You could tell that someone knew how to package a shipping product because the box was surrounded with bubble packaging which kept it from moving around. Inside the wine bottle opener it was surrounded with some Styrofoam. It came out with a gentle push but once it was out it was easy to see how it worked. You did not need to put any pieces together because it was whole.Q. How did the product work?A. Before placing the wine bottle opener on my wine bottle I made sure I read the directions on how to place it properly on my wine bottle so that I would not break the top of the bottle when opening. This process was surprisingly very easy. You just place the handle right on top of the bottle and you lock the handle on top and you pull up. There is no resistance and you do not need to put much force into opening the bottle. Just a light pull and the cork comes off.Q. What did you think of the quality of the product?A. In my opinion I think that the wine bottle opener is very well-made I cannot tell if it's steel but I know it's not plastic it does not feel cheap and it's actually got some weight on it so I know it will last me a long time.Q. Why did you rate the product the way you did?A. I gave this wine bottle opener a five-star because it is the easiest wine bottle opener I have ever used. I also gave it five stars because the quality of the product is well-made, heavy, and durable.Q. Do you think that this product met your needs and expectations?A. Absolutely! It works great and I think it is a very high-quality,well-made wine bottle opener. I love it I will continue using it and I do believe that it will last me for very long time. It even looks fancy too!

Title: Well built and just works
Review: I have used a variety of cork screws over the years, and this is by far the best. Very simple action and easy to learn to use. Other cork screws do the job, no question. This one does it so simply and smoothly, you will wonder why you didnât buy this sooner. I saw this first in a local winery. We were doing a tasting and the owner opened the bottles with such ease. I was amazed. This is excellent for anyone with hand strength issues. For the average user, it just makes opening a bottle of wine effortless. I recommend this to all my friends.

Title: Solid and easy to use. Best of all durable.
Review: WE HAVE A HISTORY WITH THESE TYPE OF OPENERSThis is my 4th wine opener of this type. We have had friends buy them for us. Sometimes at garage sales. Since we drink wine weekly, and most of them still have corks, not twisting your wrist so extremely to open a bottle is a nice thing.OTHER MODELS DO NOT SEEM VERY DURABLEWe often wondered why restaurants did not use these type of opener and after our first two broke, realized why. They are not make for the long haul. Well this one seems to be.PREFERRED GRIPWhat we like about this one, is the grip, the one handed initial grip. You hold it upright, place above a bottle with your left hand and grip with that hand. Then you pull down the lever with your right. Some bottle openers (the Rabbit), you need to pull two handles horizontally into the bottle to hold the top. There is just too much going on there. Then you lift up. Itâs funny, but this one always makes the cork pop. Never had the others do that. Once the bottle is open, you release the bottle, allow the lever to go down and pull up again. This releases the cork and you are done.SOLID FEELThe chrome surface and heavier feeling components make this feel like an opener that will last a while. We may be opened 20 or so bottles with this so far. Other openers have started to fall apart at this point, so we have high hopes for this one.

Title: Works Well
Review: It seems to be holding-up well, even after a few hundred uses. The last similarly-styled opener worked well for about one thousand uses. This one appears to be better made. The main parts are metal of unknown composition. The main structure is some type of black poly-carbonate wrapped in metal. It is the heaviest hand-held opener I have had, but that does not mean much, in my opinion. After spraying the channels and linkages with a Teflon lubricant, it works more smoothly. I have not yet had an issue with any cork of any composition, be it real cork, composite cork or plastic. I have not encountered a plastic composite with this yet, which are the worst, but I believe it would do better than most.Update: October 19, 2023: I have changed the star-rating to 5 as I have now had it for over 1 1/2 years and it is still working as well as it did when I first got it, likely over 700 bottles. I have encountered a few plastic corks that it could not open, but that is typical for this type of opener. When that happens, I either use a waiter's screw or, what I call a wine angel, the type with the handles that rise up as the screw is turned into the cork. Overall one of the best or the best I have had to date.

Title: Fun n easy to use. But what a ride
Review: Oh, hey there! So, I gotta tell ya bout this thingamajig. Let me start by sayin', I'm a lil tipsy right now, all thanks to this bad boy. I mean, who knew openin bottles could be so much fun, ya know? This wine opener, it's like magic in your hand. It's so small n handy, fits right in there, and bam! Out comes the cork, just like that. No more strugglin with them stubborn corks or havin bits floatin in your wine. It's a smooth ride every time.lemme give ya a heads up tho, this thing, it's a temptress. It's so darn easy to use so darn fun that before ya know it, you've gone through half the cellar. I mean, whoopsie! So, while I'm havin' a blast with this thing, I gotta remind myself (and you, too) to keep it cool. Drink responsibly, folks. Don't end up like me, scribblin Amazon reviews in the middle of the night. But seriously, if you're lookin' for a wine opener that's easy-peasy and adds fun to your vino adventures, give this a whirl. Cheers, and pardon any goofsâI blame the wine opener for any wonky spellinin

Review: Watch out, i bought this from an xmas present. I thought it was from Amazon, but its Amazon US so Amazon UK can't really help on orders or sorting out issues as i discovered! The wine opener arrived today, and it was clearly not a new item! Box was battered, seal was broken, box was open. Dust all over the inner tray, finger-marks still visible on the opener! The screw top of the corkscrew was off and rattling around.Contact Amazon and they said they would refund and gave me £5 voucher for my trouble. This was a supposed to be a Luxury £43 bottle opener, not like an item you would buy of ebay. The item itself was lightweight and plasticky. The main body looks like solid metal in the pictures but is actually just chrome over plastic. Looks a cheap and cheerful item in real life. Save yourself the bother and avoid this bottle opener and watch out for Amazon US items.

Review: I bought this for my husband in March - it was working well up until now (3 months later) where it started to get stuck and won't open the bottle or release the cork. It seems like it's on its last legs. We do use it about 3-4 times a week but expected it to last for at least a year. The foil cutter that came with it is good though
